Muse Hotel

On a previous visit to New York, we had opted for a budget hotel, but found that after a tiring day exploring the city, we needed a bit more comfort, so this time we chose the boutique hotel The Muse.
The location of the hotel is ideal for tourists - just a couple of blocks from Time Square, but in a quiet street, so that you can enjoy a good night's sleep. The rooms are decorated in a modern, but comfortable style, with a subtle theatre theme to the pictures on the wall. Our bed was huge and so cosy - just what was needed after a hard day shopping!
The bathroom was gleaming marble with a great selection of Gilchrist & Soames toiletries provided. Hotel staff were friendly & efficient - especially the jovial porter who bantered about the economy & the President with us. There is a restaurant adjoined to the hotel, The District, which is apparently acclaimed, but was rather expensive so we declined to eat there.
There is also a small bar - beware the cocktails - a lot more potent than we have in the UK.
