We have just come back from the Kassinis Hotel and it was better than we expected, yes the rooms are basic but they are cleaned often and the bedding is changed regular. The bathrooms have just been re done with quite powerful showers. If you want clean basic accomodation with great views, this is the place for you. Make sure you do book a sea view room as they are better than the none sea views, you might get a bit of a building in front of you otherwise (room 204, 203, 205). Breakfast basic but it does the job, Toast, Jam, Butter, Ham Cheese, Orange Juice and Tea/Coffee.
We had a great time there defo recommend it.
- Advice: Lovely harbour, great beaches, restaurants and good slection of bars

Kassimi hotel,
What can i say, it is the 30ish time i have spent in Kassiopi, and was it great ( as ussual) the rooms were basic but what a view, wakening upto
in the morning to see the sun rise over Albania was breathless and as for the harbour.
The noise from the disco was NONE EXISTANT, The only noise we heard was the Bin men at 7.30 each morning, but who can complain, the village was spotless.
Nico and his staff were superb even bringing my partner a meal when she was ill for a couple of days ( no fault of the pension).
Overall we will be staying there in 2009 again ( that say's it all)

This was our 4th trip to Corfu but our 1st time staying in Kassipoi.
Our room was basic but clean. We had maid service daily and the beds were changed twice weekly.
Breakfast was what we expected but some guest were disapointed, Toast, jam, ham or cheese, orange juice, tea or coffee. If a full English is what your after there are plenty of places up near the square where you can have the works for a few euros.
The Veiw from the Kassimis over the harbour was great we loved being able to watch all the comings & goings of the boats day & night.
The food served in the resturant downstairs was very good and resonable, the terrace was always popular and you would be advised to book if you want a table up there.
We found the staff friendly and helpful.
If you like boat trips this is the ideal place to be as most of the trips leave from the harbour.
Kassiopi has something for everyone whatever your age.
We will definatley be back and would stay at Kassimis again just for the location.

The views from the Kassimis are stunning and all the staff are friendly.
However the bathroom in our room was filthy.
Whilst we expected basic accommodation there was really no excuse for the uncleanliness. I have visited Kassiopi several times and never had this kind of problem.
The towels were only changed once and the mat outside the bathroom and on the balcony looked as though they had never been changed or cleaned since the start of the season.
I don’t regard myself as a particularly fussy person but I was very disappointed with this Thomson accommodation.

This was the third time we have been to Kassiopi and love the place just as much. It was, however the first time we have stayed at the Kassimi although we knew it's location. The room was basic but clean as one would expect in Greece, and the view of the harbour was fantastic. So lovely to go to sleep and wake up to the sound of the water lapping against the boats.
The staff are very friendly and helpful - couldn't be faulted, and the food served in the restaurant is excellent with Spiros giving an explanation of the dishes if required. The breakfasts are adequate, consisting of Orange juice (not watered down as mentioned in a previous review) toast or bread with egg, cheese or ham and tea or coffee. We did prefer to get our own breakfast though and bought fresh crusty bread, croissants and fruit from the nearby supermarket - less than 5mins walk away.
The only drawback to the Kassimi is noise! It is really spoiled by the loudness of the music and DJ emanating from the Illusions bar around the corner. When we have been in Kassiopi previously the resort has been quiet after about 12:30am but on this occasion the noise has continued way past that. On our first night it lasted until 3am. following night 2:30am etc. (Possibly during the week it did finish a little earlier or we got used to it a little). but at the weekends it was as bad as ever. At the other end there is the noise of the rubbish collection in the mornings - around 7:30am.
Much too far into the holiday we met someone who has stayed at the Kassimi regularly. Apparently the secret is not to have rooms 101, 102, 201 or 202 as these are the ones disturbed by the noise the most! We had room 202. Be warned. Despite the noise we did have a lovely holiday with plenty of hot sunshine and just a few showers.
A boat trip not to be missed is the East coast cruise with Christos. He's such a character and makes the trip hilarious with his calls of "naughty, naughty!" to every couple he spots sunbathing. There's also a generous supply of free wine and ouzo, all helping the enjoyment and because of the limited number of passengers you all feel like long lost friends. Will definitely return to Kassiopi but I'm afraid we're not likely to stay at the Kassimi although we will visit the restaurant and bar.

I read before leaving for Corfu that the breakfasts were not up to much in the Kassimis Hotel, but I found the food adequate for a continental breakfast. Coffee, toast, local cheese and butter and jam. If you feel that isn't good enough to start you off there are numerous restaurants offering full English Breakfasts from 3.5 euros.
The view from the hotel balcony is stunning with Albania only a mile away and we witnessed a flow of lava from an active volcano across the Ionian Sea at the start of the week.
The people are extremely friendly and they will take time to explain some of the local history and they will also help you with your Greek although they are very competent English speakers.
We stayed for a week it rained once early morning for about half an hour the rest of the time was very hot at nearly 40c in the shade. There were no fans in the Kassimis and no air con but you can hire a fan locally for 1 euro a day or so.
The previous review I read mentioned the lack of a bar & restaurant they have both now and although the bar doesn’t stock the usual array of alco-pops the beer and spirits are as you would expect. We ate in the restaurant and will give the Noufara Restaurant very high marks for service and quality.
When can I go back ?

I booked a late deal two days before I travelled and was pleasantly surprised that I was allocated to the resort of Kassiopi.
I arrived late evening to discover that the property was overlooking the harbour in this fishing town - the perfect view whilst sat on the balcony watching the world go by.
The accommodation was basic, the usual Greek standard and was very clean.
I paid extra for Bed and Breakfast and disappointed at the choice available, or lack of:
- DAY ONE
I was given watered down fruit juice, coffee and a boiled egg with two slices of toast.
- DAY TWO
I was given watered down fruit juice, coffee, two slices of bread and a slice of ham.
- DAY THREE
I was given watered down fruit juice, coffee, two slices of bread and a slice of cheese.
- DAY FOUR
Well, I am sure that you have got the picture... I couldn’t deal with the excitement and decided to skip breakfast for the rest of the holiday!
The location of the Hotel could not have been better and rumours have it that the owner is looking to sell the property, which can be developed with some time and money, so there was no bar, no reception or restaurant.
Having looked on the Thomson website since I have returned, the property is described as a Pension, but it is called the Kassimi Hotel according to the Thomson Plaque outside the property and describes the food as very basic, but continue to offer such food... a choice would be nice. I didn’t ask if there was a vegetarian option!
The resort was excellent and the locals were friendly, more so than the locals on the North West side of the Island.

Kassimi hotel was owned and run by Nikos. Sadly Nikos has passed away and it is uncertain who will be in control now. Although it wasn't the most up to date place to stay, the view was wonderful, as was Nikos. It is the end of an era for all of us who went back year after year just because we needed to. God bless you Nikos
