Amazing Hotel
from DGRWindsor
My wife and I first stayed in 2005 and decided to have our wedding in the adjoining church and reception in the hotel, followed by our honeymoon the week after. The hotel is exactly what you need to unwind and relax; the service discreet and the food out of this world. It is hard to describe why we love this place so much. Part of it is the hospitality of the Seyrling family who ensure that everyone is made welcome and looked after. The simple things are often the best - being able to have breakfast until 3pm and get taken in the hotel...

Defintitely our best holiday
from antonsedl
I visited the hotel with my wife two kids and our little dog. First we were scared to book as the reviews were inbetween very good or quite bad, but fortunately we made the trip to austria. It is a five star hotelwhere also families feel like home. Already at the arrival we got a warm welcome from the owner\manager after we were picked up by the privat VIP Shuttle service they offer from the close airport in Innsbruck. The Family suite with two bedrooms was just perfect for us. We also went to see some other rooms for our next visit without...

What a huge disappointment!!!
from mlknoche
My husband and I stayed at this hotel for one week. This is definitely not a 5 star hotel, just the price reminds you of it. 1.) Beginning with the room: the first day we arrived, the chambermaid forgot to empy the garbage can, the windows were dirty, the arrangement of fruits, nuts and raisins was too sad to be true and one day, the maid even forgot to lock the door. 2.) Elevator: I think the copper elevator was not cleaned for weeks, that's how it looked. 3.) Dinner: The food and service there was really disappointing,...

No 5 Star Hotel (anymore)
from MuckCologne
This place maybe had it´s days in the early 90ies, but don´t go there when you expect a 5 star treat! In our "Family Suite" the whirlpool and the 2nd TV just didn´t work, the kid´s matress was real messy on the bottom (which wouldn´t be noticed if it wasn´t a bunk bed, so we could see from the bottom), the parents matress was a 3 star standard, certainly no more. The whole "look and feel" of the place is a regular 4 star, at best. In which it usually doesn´t happed that the steam room sauna door comes off completely when you...

Great Holiday
from Traveller1701
Having read the earlier reviews after we had already booked the holiday I was a bit anxious about going to this hotel, but have to say that everything about the whole experience was fantastic....from the warm welcome at reception, to the (superior) room we had booked, to the fabulous indoor pool, and sauna/steam room facilities, the wellness/beauty rooms, the excellent food (recommend half board)...all the staff were friendly and efficient. The only thing that was less than acceptable was the weather (it snowed/rained for 6 days of our 10...

Only the prices are 5 star
from DBLNorthantsUK
We booked a larger than standard room which could only be described as tired. Although it was clean. The hotel in general has seen better days. The food is below average and one day we were severed raw chicken which the staff said it wasn’t, let them eat it then. After that the restaurant staff drove us mad after every course asking “is every think fine”. If we had not booked and paid for half board in advance we would have eaten out each evening. The Spa is below average for a 5 star hotel small area with limited...

Not 5 star
from Dr.J,Yorkshire
My wife and I were very dissapointed by the problems we encountered after reserving a superior quality room for one week between 3-10 Feb. 2007. Briefly we experienced: i) A noisy room ( kitchen extractor fan noise all night), along with a strong smell of chlorine from the pool, was assigned on arrival. A more acceptable alternative room was provided the following day, following our complaint. ii) No coffee/tea facilities were available in any rooms as stated in the trip advisor list of room amenities. iii) We felt...

Magical experience
from discerningsingle
Having just returned from a week in this wonderful hotel I felt I had to share my findings with fellow travellers. My family and I have just had 7 days in what can only be described as a first rate hotel. This stay was over an exceptionally busy period and included New Year. The hotel held a magnificent, black tie 7 course Gala Dinner with entertainment to suit all ages. This was followed by a very well engineered seeing in of the new year. So many times I have been disappointed that midnight has gone by without a champagne cork in...

Faded Glory?
from lhirst
Spent four nights here in June as part of a european motoring holiday having been recommended to it by friends who travelled with us.They were disappointed by it's decline since their previous visit and I have to say it struggles to justify it's five star status. The staff are excellent and try very hard to ensure you have an enjoyable stay but the whole place seems very tired. Our supposedly superior room was very ordinary and needed updating. The public area furnishings were showing advanced signs of wear. The outdoor pool area was very...

Fantastic Hotel - Fantastic Holiday!
from A TripAdvisor Member
Myself and my partner got married in St. Oswald's church in Seefeld in August 2004 and stayed in the Hotel Klosterbrau. We were on a half board basis in the hotel and to be honest there is no need to go anywhere else to dine as the food is superb and there is plenty of choice - vegetarian, meat and fish dishes which will suit everyone. The staff are very polite and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean. On the night of the wedding we dined in the Ritter Oswald Stube restaurant which is an award winning restaurant located in the...
