Lenno Hotel

We stayed here for two nights, and it was perfect. The location is awesome as it's situated about halfway up the lake and right opposite a ferry stop. We had an upgraded room with the biggest balcony in the hotel which was amazing! The only negatives were that we specifacally booked ahead requesting a car parking space in their underground car park, and when we arrived we were told that it was full, so it would seem that they dont reserve and it's first come first served (although one of the staff moved their cars for us so top... more

All the reviews say it all, only I would like to add it was even better than anyone said, the restaurants to the right were fabulous and reasonable! Keep walking and you will discover many hidden eateries. This location was just busy enough to call it a vacation and so accessible to everything!

The Lenno is right on the lake side, just a hop, skip and jump from the ferry terminal. Our room was spacious, very clean and comfortable with a great view, even though it was at the side. The staff were friendly and helpful and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. The food was superb and helped to make our holiday. We visited lots of other places on the lake and knew we had made the right choice. My wife and I just returned from a one week trip to Italy. We landed at Malpensa and drove up to Lake Como. We decided to stay in Lenno, because it is a small, beautiful, and quiet location that is accessible to other sites on the lake. Two things stand out about the Hotel Lenno. First the location, right on the lakeside down a quiet road away from the main road and ten paces away from the ferry point. Many visitors stay in better apppointed hotels, but generally the main highway, with all its accompanying traffic noise, separates them from the lake. Lenno is an excellent location from which to explore the Lake Como resorts. You don't need a car just take the ferry to anywhere on the lake. The Hotel Lenno is small, quiet and friendly. Albergo Lenno was our first stop in Italy on our way to Venice from Bern. The staff were so friendly & helpful, especially with our 2 year old daughter. The included breakfast was fabulous & we were lucky enough to be there on Tuesday morning which is market day & there were stalls all along the embarcadero outside the hotel. The Hotel is wonderful, the staff take an interest in you, and ensure that everything is okay. Lenno Promenade is quiet and quaint,the Hotel is situated directly opposite the Ferry Pier. This prooved great fun,having a drink in the side garden, and watching the Hydrofoil coming at you, at speed, then suddenly the hydrofoil drops into the water, and slows down. What a great setting right on the lakeside. Very peaceful with virtually no traffic around. The hotel staff were very helpful and pleasant (the best we encountered in Italy) particularly Alberto and his wife. Our rooms were a little sparten but clean and comfortable, we had a great lake view from a side room with balcony. The hotel had a nice relaxed feel about it. I am a fussy eater and was a little disappointed there was no hot breakfast except boiled eggs. There was cheese and cold meat as well as two cereals and pastries etc but overall... more
