Wiesenhof Hotel

We were a family of 4 plus a 3 year old staying for the Christmas week and there was nothing sbout this family run luxurious Spa Hotel not to like. We had 2 adjoining junior suites which were as good as you could wish for and presented as new. The staff could not have been better, lead by the family Entner who were in constant attendance. The Sauna and Spa were an eye popping experience to unused English tourists plus calm, quiet relaxing areas and a delightful small indoor pool. The dining areas were spread around the ground floor to give a more intimate feel and the food, from the buffet breakfast, soup and salad lunch, afternoon cake and served evening meal could not be faulted. A table was allocated so you got to know the waiting staff and toys were provided for the children. All sorts of little extras were thrown in. Coupled with the natural beauty of the area; lovely snowy vistas from the hotel looking up to the mountains or down to the adjacent lake and winter walks through the woods there was lots to do. The skiing is within walking distance and the skier from our party loved it. There is a free bus service to other small resorts all offering skiing as well. Don't come here if you are looking for designer shops and a retail experience but that is really not the point. The only downside for us was the exchange rate and we know who is to blame for that - not the Hotel Wiesenhof!
