Luna & Simone Hotel

We had the misfortune to stay here during a London heat wave-33C/92F. The small fan could not cool the room. It is difficult to sleep when you are sweating. Even though we had prepaid the room, we left a day early. The nice features of the hotel other reviewers have mentioned cannot offset this one huge shortcoming when it is hot.

In crazy expensive London, it's hard to find decent, affordable accomodation. Our simple twin room here was small but comfortable - the staff accomodated our request for a quiet back room and it was nice. The breakfast was average. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of Victoria station, which makes the price even more remarkable!

My husband and I just returned from our trip to London where we stayed at the Luna and Simone hotel for 4 nights, then after a trip up to Scotland, we stayed again at the Luna and Simone for one additional night. Our first and longer stay we were given a room on the 3rd floor, which means 6 flights of stairs to climb. stayed for 2 nights mid-May. A welcome change from the many B&B's I've stayed in over the years -- very clean, updated, large room, TV, coffee making supplies, even a hairdryer. It was well worth the few extra dollars to stay here. Triple are only located on the first and basement floors - ours was in the basement next to the b'fast room. We never heard a sound, not even at b'fast. Very convenient to Victoria Stations. The staff were great! Definitely will stay there in the future.

We just returned from a stay at Luna Simone and were very pleased. The rooms are small, but standard European from our experience. They are very clean and the bathrooms seem newly renovated. Travelers who don't like or can't do stairs should be aware there is no elevator/lift here. We stayed twice here, once for 3 nights, then on our return to London from Italy, for one more night. My family and I recently visited London for four days. Our first two days were booked for the Luna Simone our last two days were book at a hotel in the Chelsea area. I had waited too long to make up my mind and could only get two of the four days there because the Luna Simone was booked solid. Friendly staff, flexible service, good facilities. Rooms nicely decorated and in good condition. Good breakfast, allthough served too early in the morning for late sleepers. Choice of restaurants and groceries nearby, 10 mins (or less) walk to Victoria and Pimlico stations, River Thames, Tate Gallery... will stay again & recommend to my friends.

My wife and I stayed at the Luna & Simone after reading reviews on this site. We stayed for 2 nights and I have to say the service and locatation were both first class. Our room was small but very clean wih a good shower exactly what we needed. The breakfast was excellent (watch the plates their hot!!) as was the service by the family run owners. The location is very convenient for the tube. All in all excellent value for money.

"England for Dummies" recommended this hotel and the review was right on. We wanted a reasonable, quality, convenient place to rest; what we didn't need was a huge lobby with a doorman. Our trip was a whole week at spring break, starting March 11th. We chose the quad room on the ground floor ( my wife has a hurt knee) and filled it up with 2 adults and 2 teenage boys. I stayed there for 3 nights on my Easter holidays and all I can say is that the place was great. The room was small but not tiny. The bed was very comfortable and everything was kept really clean. The bathroom was small but perfect with a powerful shower. All the tiles had been changed recently and the walls painted (it still smelt of paint). My room was number 9 and was really quiet.
