La Residenza Hotel

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for a wonderful 10 nights. It was amazing. (The island and the hotel!) The staff was very friendly and helped us get the most out of our stay. They recommended great restaurants and suggested great ways to enjoy the island. This hotel was the best I could find for the price. We have spent the past several summers in Capri and being in the travel industry, I always try and find great little boutique hotels for my clients.I found the Lobby and the pool area of this hotel to be bright and light and very beautiful, and stylish. (Moorish in feeling) However, if you stay at this property you must only book the top floor (3rd) floor,(this would be the only floor to qualify as a possible 4 star rating) because the rest of the floors have not been renovated, and are rather worn and in need of serious renovations, and... more

This hotel was "ok". My biggest problem was that when we checked out they tried to charge me an additional $46 Euros for having 2 people in our double room. When I made the reservation it was for 2 people, and when I checked in I confirmed my rate. I felt as though they were purely trying to take advantage of me as an American. They ended up taking off the additional cost, but did not apologize. They were completey rude about the attempt to over charge me. Do not stay in this hotel.
