Great flight, good transfers. Hotel spotlessly clean. Mainly Spanish people, few English, few German. Didn’t cater much for English with any entertainment that was on. The food was like most Spanish hotels, acceptable but rather bland, could always find something though.
The pool area is very nice but did notice that the pool wasn’t cleaned daily. The room was nice but rather small with not much room for clothes, cleaned daily.
The reception was all English speaking and very helpful. We kept our room till 6pm on the day we were leaving at a small cost of 15 euros, which I thought was good.
Not a lot to do where the hotel is situated but only 20-25 minute walk to the lively part which we found a bit too much with all the English bars good for the younger end would go back to Salou and if the Euro Salou came up at a good price I would stay again.

My holiday in Salou was really good overall! Although we went half board the food in the restaurant mainly catered for Spanish people more than English! There flavoured yoghurt was nice and also there frying steak! There was always entertainment on in the hotel which pleased most people!
Also later on in the evening there is a basement n it has a "nightclub" this nightclub was more like a disco and played mostly Spanish music! Although a good point is i made some good friend over there which I still keep in touch with although some do speak a different language! Thanks anyway and take some of my points in to account please! The pool needed more sun loungers as there was none left as soon as the pool opened! And the pool was very clean!

The hotel was very clean, the reception staff were very helpful in the day, although the night staff did not speak any English.
The pool is allot smaller than it looks on the picture although very clean and there are lots of sunloungers available by the pool.
The restaurant is a self serve canteen style, there was always a variety of dishes, although the food was always cold, even when just served, and there were no drinks provided with the evening meals.
The beach is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel and is very clean, with lots of water activities.
There are a few English bars, about 30 minutes away, the Railway is a good night and they also do food, if you get bored with the food in the restaurant as we did!!
Overall holiday was absolutely lovely, Salou is a great place to visit and I would definitely recommend it, but perhaps not this hotel if you are a fussy eater.

Holiday good and bad, hotel nice but rooms very small but clean. Staff didn’t speak or understand English or choose not to. Food not that good looked nice but didn’t taste nice. Had to buy drinks with eve meal and expensive.
My daughter ill on second day with temp, sick and runs lasted 4 days of our 7-day stay. Think it waz fruit as flies all over it. Needed a doctor and couldn’t get one as no one understood and didn’t see or couldn’t get in touch with our rep.
Pool clean but not happy as kids bought inflatable and could not use them as not allowed. Entertainment ok but mostly in Spanish. Looked forward to holiday but disappointed with alot of it.
Would have to think hard about going back to euro Salou. Beach lovely and clean but busy. Nice walk to beach and loads of shops too. And loads of bars. Nice market near by on a Monday.
Theme park good but lots to fit in on one day. Buses easy to get to theme park and cost 1 euro 50. In all hol ok but not that happy with few issues with hotel.

I went to Salou with my boyfriend on an allocation on arrival holiday with Airtours. We were 3* half board and were pleasantly surprised when our coach dropped us off at the Euro Salou. The Hotel itself is nice and clean with friendly English speaking staff. We found that it mainly catered for the Spanish who were not friendly in the slightest and very rude towards English guests. We went when the Spanish kids had just broken up for their summer holidays so the hotel was over-run with them with seemingly no adult supervision. There had been a lot of complaints about their rude and loud behaviour but it seemed to quieten down a little as the week went by.
The pool area is small and I can imagine it gets very crowded in high season. The rooms were of a decent size with a furnished balcony; there wasn't much room for our clothes though. We had a safety deposit box, a TV and air conditioning. I'm not sure if you have to pay for the air conditioning though, we arrived back to our room to find it was working one day but a couple we had met said that there’s wasn't so who knows!
The food wasn't great, not catered towards the British at all. We ate in the hotel 4 out of 7 nights but there are so many nice places to eat in Salou you'd be missing out by staying in the hotel every night. The prices at the bar were reasonable I thought. The hotel also had Internet access and a small games room for the kiddies.
My boyfriend and I are 20 so were looking for a bit of nightlife. This can be found at the other end of Salou, about a 20-minute walk along the beachfront. If you can't be bothered to walk then a taxi will cost around 5 euros. 007, Bus Stop and Danny Boy were favourites ours and Lunatic on the beachfront serves no-nonsense food and amazing cocktails!
The beach was lovely with white sand and clear water. As with most places you had to pay for the sun loungers. The prices at the beach snack bars are extortionate; we paid 9 euros for 2 bottles of coke and 2 ice lollys. Stock up before you go if you don't want your eyes ripped out! Aquapolis Water Park was an enjoyable day out. It was spoilt a little bit by all of the Spanish kids who don't know how to wait in line but never mind! The dolphin show was enjoyable too.
Port Aventura was great and only a stones throw from Salou, only 1.20 euro by bus. A word of warning though, don't buy your tickets from the rep. We paid 37 euros for what we believed to be a fast track ticket. We only got one fast track all day that wasn’t explained to us when we bought the tickets. Your best bet is to buy them on the day you go from the park, it's a lot cheaper.
The Barcelona fountains trip was great too. The trip to the Barcelona football stadium kept the boys happy and the shopping and fountains kept the girls happy. I would recommend a trip to Barcelona while staying in Salou; it's well worth the money.
Overall I think if you're a young group or couple looking for some nightlife, your best bet is to stay in the new part of Salou or go somewhere else. The nightlife is OK but gets a bit repetitive. The resort is mainly geared towards families so Salou is the prefect place for you if you have young children, as there are lots to keep them amused. I really enjoyed our holiday is Salou despite all the out of control Spanish kids! I don't think I’d go back to Salou as I feel I’ve seen all the resort has to offer. I feel we got a really good value holiday and would fly with Airtours again but next time it'll be somewhere different.
