A nice place to relax

Feb 2012, Val

We have been going to victoria court 2 for many years for some winter sun early or late we found it a great complex and all the apartments we have been in have been really great. I believe one or two are abit dated but clean we have never found the to be the case. The bar is avery friendy place and good food. Earlt in the year a lot of the residents are owners and we have some great times getting to know them and see their apartments for future referance.
Ideal situation for the front (beach) local sunday market, restaurants very central good position for boat triops and shopping in the town.

  • Holiday Date:Mar 2011
  • Advice: Ideal location for the buses to other parts of the island beach shops and boat trips.
  • Good For: Beach

We have stayed at Victoria Court 1 and 2. They are both lovely apartment blocks but I would say that Victoria Court 2 is quieter and slightly more refined! There are restrictions on pool noise and ball games that are really enforced in Victoria Court 2. If you want a slightly noisier area Victoria Court 1 is for you.

just returned from a weeks holiday in tenerife we stayed at the victoria two apartments, which were lovely we had alovely apartment overlooking the pool and we enjoyed some wonderful food in the restaurant which had just been taken over by Tim and his very charming wife sylvia, the food was of an excellant standard and they were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble .The apartment we stayed in was immaculate and the complex the same, you have to pay two euros for a bed around the pool and also for a parasol, but all in all we had avery enjoyable holiday and we would return, it was also only a short walk into the centre and to the beach, which on return was up a hill but,not too bad to manage if you took it slowly

Just returned after a week at these apartments. Couldn't have asked for any better. The apartment overlooked the pool and not too far from the beach. Victoria Sevices the managers of the apartments couldn't do enough to help. Would definitely look to go again next year as well as recommend to friends.

holiday on a building site

Victoria Court 1 was a quiet, fairly clean complex on arrival, with a nice heated pool, bar and reasonable restaurant. Our apartment 16A3 was good but could have done with a little more cleaning; thick dust on lampshades, stains on throws on sofas etc. We had a lovely double balcony looking out over the pool, one of the reasons we chose this apartment.
Our lads spent 3 enjoyable days in the pool with us able to relax on our balcony watching them when we'd had enough down there with them, perfect!
Then Monday morning arrived with us being woken up at 7.30ish with the sound of hammering and drilling. We opened our bedroom patio doors to be faced with an empty pool with workmen standing in it removing all of the tiles and more workmen on other apartment balconies removing the cladding and paint. We felt there must have been an over night issue so went down to Victoria Services (our agents)to find out what was happening.
As we got close to their office we noticed Pete (owner of Victoria Services) disappearing round the corner leaving his parents (peter & wife/odd job man&cleaner)to deal with all of the guests who wanted to know what was going on.
I was told I must have had an email about this (which I had not), they didn't know when this work was going to be carried out, they thought it wouldn't be a problem as it was only going to be for a small portion of our holiday (4 out of 7 days - small portion?) to their final response of "what do you want us to do stop the work" along with an attitude that we were being unreasonable.
The whole problem was we hadn't been told and if we had we wouldn't have booked.
After much heated discussion and after finding out from the President of the owners association that they knew months before about this work going ahead then Peter offered a £70 refund, saying he had spoken to the apartment owner and they wanted to give nothing back but he had managed to persuade him to give the £70 (turned out this was the line he gave others too). I refused this and asked to speak to the owner myself but was advised this was against the law and the owner didn't want to speak to me anyway.
I asked Peter to phone the owner in front of me so I could hear this for myself, he then got the phone went into the back office, ignoring me asking him to phone in front of me, to return after 2 seconds saying £150 refund final offer (again being the same as he said to other guests). I reluctantly accepted this but felt this no way near made up for our weeks holiday being ruined and by their underhand dealings.
So my advice is due to them being so underhand do not book through Victoria Services go through owners direct and always check when and if any maintenance work is going ahead and get it in writing (email) that it is not, especially as it appeared this was the time they did maintenance work in the area (April/May).
Los Cristianos itself was quite a nice area but I would say it was better for more mature couples but had good restaurants, excluding the touts trying to sell you cheap sunglasses and watches whilst you were eating. Siam water park was well worth a visit, best by far we'd visited. The bus service to other areas is cheap and so there's no real need to hire a car and if you are not too good on your feet you can hire mobility scooters everywhere.

  • Advice: visit Siam water park and use the cheap bus service

Vic 1, Ageing Apartments

We stayed in apartment 13A3, Victoria Court 1, top floor, 3 bed with bathroom and ensuite. It was showing signs of its age with tired and dirty furnishings and faulty DVD in the TV. Half the light bulbs were blown and the floors were covered with dust and fluff, the standard of cleaning was very poor. The water heater did not work on arrival but was repaired when we mentioned it to the letting agent (Victoria Services). There is obviously a security problem in this area as all apartments have huge metal grills across the doors and other owners advised us to keep the doors locked at all times. Faulty locks on the patio doors didn't help, but holes had been drilled in the frames to allow metal rods on chains to be inserted to provide some sort of security.
Three days into our weeks holiday builders moved on site and drained the pool !!! There then followed hours of noisy drilling and grinding work with dust floating throughout all the apartments. We complained to the agent (Victoria Services) but received no apology what so ever and very poor communications. We spoke to the president of the owners association who informed us that the major building works had been planned for many months and was discussed at the AGM. Victoria Services and the owner both knew of this planned work but they decided to not tell us as in their words "we thought it didn't matter". After a very lengthy argument with the agent he tried to fob us off with £70. I refused this as half of our holiday was ruined. He eventually offered me £150 which I reluctantly accepted.
From the state of the apartments and surrounding public areas, I accept that maintenance work is required. I feel that Victoria Services knowingly with-held the details of this planned maintenance work as they knew that no one would willingly go on holiday to a building site. Please be aware of the underhanded business methods used by Victoria Services and check every detail (including planned maintenance) before parting with any money.
We visited Vic II to use the pool. It is similar to Vic 1 but is 4 storeys tall rather than the 3 storeys in Vic 1. Other than that, it is very similar. Tended to be reserved for the over 65's though. Signs everywhere stating "Strictly no balls or inflatables in the pool". Not a place for children as ours were frowned at on numerous occasions.

We stayed at victoria cout 2, apartment 96 for a week. The place was clean. We loved the balcony as it was big and facing the pool and beach.
Staff were helpful.
The apartments are 5mins away from the beach and central.
We would definately go back to victoria court 2 in the future.

on arrival we found many personal hairs on bedroom floors & in the 2 bathrooms, also dirty units in kitchen. we had to telephone for tea-towels, & only one half decent bath towel each which were grey!! Sandra Barrett the owner refused to believe that this was the case, & refused to do anything about it. Also once a vweek you get just one change of bed linen/towels @ a cost of " 25 EUROS " WHICH MAY I ADD does not include your floors being swept or mopped. I can't fault the complex itself or the complex owners as we are definately returning there, just not to any apartment owned by Sandra Barrett !!!! BEWARE!!!

My husband and I recently spent 2 fantastic weeks in Tenerife. We stayed in Victoria Court 2, apartment number 30. The apartment was of an excellent standard,a credit to its owners. the complex itself is immaculate with very well kept gardens and pool area. We also enjoyed some excellent simple meals in the onsite Bar/Restaurant. We will certainly be booking that apartment again later in the year.

This was our first visit to Tenerife, apartment 91 was excellent, all we needed for our 2 week stay. The large balcony was superb, we spent most of our time there sunbathing & relaxing, the UK TV channels kept us up to date with the latest news in the UK, not to mention Coronation Street. Los Cristianos is very clean & friendly, the restaurants are good and close by, would recommend the sailing trip to see the dolphins & whales, we saw both and spent 6 hours at sea relaxing and sunbathing. We cannot wait to return next year to Victoria Court 2.

I have just returned from spending Christmas and New year at these very well situated apartments. I enjoyed so much I have booked to go back next year. The apartment was very well equipped and had a lovely sunny balcony. Even though they are very central they are very quiet. Our friends stayed right up the top of the hill (known as cardiac hill) and I was so glad I didn't have to keep walking up there.

We stayed there in apartment 165 in August 2008.
The apartment itself was spacious and well maintained, we had no problems there. The only problem was the 56 steps up to the apartment, which can take it out of you.
However, paying for the sunbeds at the pool was frustrating, 2.50 for a bed and 2.50 for a parasol. That would amount to 140 euro for a couple on a fornights holiday, a big chunk of your money. We opted to lie on our balcony instead. The staff were friendly enough with snacks available at the poolside bar a reasonable price.
For good food go to the oyster catcher or Little Italy for a treat. If your on a budget head to charlies just around the corner.
I found there were plenty of rstaurants but very few bars so this isnt the place to come if you are looking for a lively holiday but if you fancy a relaxing holiday it would be ideal
