Village Hotel Hull

We stayed at village Hull for 2 nights 5&6th sept;we got b+b with evening meal on our first night,2 adults& 1 child age 14,we found the hotel second to none with lovely food,friendly staff,fantastic facilities,and resonable priced drinks in the victory pub which is situated inside the hotel itself.The rooms were very comfortable,with enormous beds which had lovely plumped up pillows,flat screen tv,s with sky sports 1,2&3, tea&coffee making facilities.The rooms were spotless,with crisp white sheets,it was a pleasure to stay there and we are looking forward to going to village LEEDS next week.10 out of 10.A bargain at £139.

Check in was fine and the room was clean as you would expect from a hotel like this, the down sides were I think they are going through a major cost cutting exercise!! Starting with the room, there was no mini bar, no soap to wash your hands after using the toilet (I was told it was policy not to provide it!) no tissues or air conditioning and it was very hot. One thing that was a pain was there was no bath mat in the bath which was extremely slippery for my young son.
The breakfast was at best minimal, with a couple of cheap cereals, one choice of fruit juice and a fruit salad consisting of apples and grapes. The self service cooked breakfast counter looked like it hadn't been touched for a couple of hours and there were no yoghurt's so there wasn't much for my 18 month old son to eat.
To conclude, this could be a very nice hotel if it wasn't for the cost cutting, it is very child unfriendly and I will not be staying there again.
