In my opinion, the word here is basic, but at 40 quid a room, suppose you get what you pay for!
Environment not particularly inviting and friendly.
Can't complain about the room, wouldn’t rave about it either! It was clean and satisfactory, but very small indeed and hardly comfortable.
Wouldn't use this group for a booking in the future.

I had to stay overnight in Hull through work and was only looking for a quick stopover. At the price, £41, the campanile seemed like the ideal choice.
Check-in was easy and the staff were friendly. The room was OK, not the cleanest room I've ever had, but acceptable. The bed was comfortable enough.
There was a kettle for making tea or coffee, but not a lot of tea or coffee. The bathroom was clean enough, but in need of decoration. For the money, this was a decent enough hotel.
