I do think this is definitely the best place I've ever stayed in Brighton.
The rooms are top quality, nicely decorated with interesting artworks and properly clean, which is more than can be said for many other places I've stayed.
Nice relaxed atmosphere, excellent breakfast in a pleasant room or conservatory and really friendly owners and staff.
The location couldn't be better for all the gay village has to offer and a short walk back from the (in) famous Bulldog!
My partner and I had a great long weekend there in October and will be back in May for PCS conference.
Many nice little touches like brollies to borrow and DVD players in the room with DVDs to borrow.
For me the best was the relaxed attitude towards guests. I have stayed in many places where the walls are plastered with signs telling guests what they cannot do and warning of all sorts of fire and brimstone should one transgress!
It is a positive joy to find somewhere that treats guests as welcome and shows respect to all guests. What a refreshing change!!

I stayed with my partner from 9th until 13th May 2010. The breakfast is excellent with a wide choice and plenty of time (8 until 10). Hudons is within walking distance of all of the attractions, museum, pavilion, pier etc. Very good value for money. Romm a little small, but very good facilities and with one's own front door key, the freedom to come and go as you please. Also you just got your own tea and coffee from downstairs so never ran out. TV and minibar in the room. Area is very quiet, so got a good nights sleep. Also within walking distance of all the gay bars. The owner, Stephen looked after us and did the cooking in the morning himself. Vegetarian breakfasts are also on offer. I would not however, recommend Hudsons for disabled people as it is only small and there are no lifts
