We stayed at Queen Hotel Spa Brighton Hotel because there was not so many choice in that busy time and the hotel was looking stunning in the pictures. Apart from loose service, unprofessional staff and high rates, We were surprised and shocked because our money in the hotel safebox has been stolen!!!! There was no safebox in the room and we had to give the reception as recommended. When we checked out got our bag back and found out that our money was stolen. Staff including the supervisor was careless. We had to got to the police!

I stayed in this hotel for only one night, and was glad that it was only one night. Considering the prices, rooms looked very poor, I expected higher standard. Furnitures old and shabby, greasy and dirty walls, and discusting, dirty windows. Overall it looked like it has been renovated 20 years ago.
Swimming pool was alright, spa closed.
Nice service, good breakfast.
- Advice: It's not really opposite the pier.

My boyfriend had booked the best room in this hotel for four nights, the room we had was infact the room they show on their website and looks absolutely amazing from the pictures, but unfortunately not in life. The charge for the tower room on the top floor is £250 - £350 per night and includes a very nice choice of breakfasts. The panoramic views and the size of the room were absolutely fabulous but unfortunately that was all that was fantastic about this room, which is such a shame as it has so much potential. Worn patches of carpet down to the hessian, dirty windows that steamed up, wall paper coming away from the wall. Tired paintwork and furniture, rotting sealant around the shower, thin ill fitting quilt to the bed and broken hairdryer. The biggest insult of all for the money was the one ply value toilet paper and a piece of chewing gum stuck to the window ledge in the bathroom that was there when we arrived and still there when we left. My boyfriend had taken the opportunity to get rose petals put on the bed which was a nice touch however the next day when the room was being cleaned the cleaner made the bed with the rotting rose petals still in it and didn't hoover the petals off of the floor. We then had to request the following day for them to be removed. Most definately not worth the money charged. Very misleading website. Staff were very friendly and helpful (didn't use the pool or spa)

this hotel is lovely we had a seaview room which really was the best view of the beach and the pier through a full bay window, the room was clean very spacious and nicely decorated with tea and coffee, flat screen tv ,very comfy bed and spacious bathroom with bath and shower. i booked 2 nights in a seaview double room for my partners birthday as a suprise and he loved it.i have read some bad reviews about this hotel but cannot understand why as we found it to be exactly as described on the website and a wonderful stay we had no problem with noise at night which is what most reviews i read complained about we were on the top floor and we slept really well. staff were friendly and helpful and breakfast was very nice(eat as much as you want.) all in all a fantastic stay if we get the chance to go back to brighton we will most definatly be staying back at this hotel.

A fantastic view from our room facing the sea. The room was clean and comfortable - large-screen TV, kettle with tea and coffee, well-stocked bathroom, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was great - full English, all you can eat! Perfect location for The Lanes and town centre, equally for strolling along the seafront and pier. I would definitely return if I go back to Brighton.

We stayed at this hotel for one night in September 2008 to attend a dinner dance organised by a friend of mine.
Unfortunately our whole weekend was spoiled by an incident of theft from our hotel room. We booked a taxi through the hotel reception to take us to the dinner dance at 7.30 pm, switching all lights off as we left. On our return to our room at 1 a.m., we found all the lights were on and subequently discovered my girlfriend's purse and both our mobile phones were missing - they'd all been left on a dressing table in the main bedroom as we only took cash with us. Maybe we should have put them away or locked them in a safe, but I have never had any possessions stolen from a hotel room before - one does not expect a thief to enter a room on a Saturday night. I've learnt my lesson! Staying up until 3 a.m. calling bank and phone companies cancelling credit cards and phones is not my idea of a fun Saturday night. We got about 4 hours sleep. Having said that, the night staff were very helpful. The management were less so.
We called the Police, who came round on the Sunday morning and spent 2 hours taking statements from my girlfriend and me, and examining our room - they were very thorough. The conclusion the Police came to was that it had to be an inside job as the windows only opened 10 cm, we were on the first floor, and entrance to the rooms is by electronic key card only.
No management was there to speak to, we could only speak to the Hotel Manager on the Monday after we'd left Brighton. When we finally spoke to him, there was no apology, no admission of liability, and no offer of any sort of refund or compensation - in spite of our weekend having been ruined by this incident. The Manager said he would send a report from the Hotel's computer system to the Police showing no-one entered our room while we were out, but I have since spoken to the Police on numerous occasions and they have not received the report. The Manager also told me he would call me back to see what he could do for us in terms of compensation but as I am writing this review over a month after our stay and have still heard nothing, it seems clear he has no intention of getting back to me. We paid £230 up front for a family room, but paid an awful lot more in terms of hassle and stress.
Other than that, the hotel is shabby, scruffy, noisy, and totally overpriced. The breakfast was ok in the morning (when we finally managed to get some) but served on tiny plates.
Two words sum up my visit to this hotel - Never Again!

This is a beautiful hotel which we really enjoyed staying at. We were upgraded, which considering we paid internet rates for the room, was excellent. It is not of the same standard as the Hilton or the Thistle which are also on the seafront but then we would have paid a lot more per person so we didn't care. The staff were fantastic... the room was lovely .. the pool was warm and not crowded.. what else could you ask for? I would heartily recommend this hotel.. and those peole who have written negative reviews probably expect too much from a privately run hotel.

Stayed for two nights, had a lovely room overlooking the sea front. The room was very clean and well stocked with towels and toilietries. The staff were pleasant and helpful. There was a wide variety of fresh food hot and cold food available at Breakfast time. The weather was fantastic while we stayed over the Spring Bank Holiday and we ate at some really good restaurants, and had some great sea food, particularly D,Arcys and Englishs. We also visisted Oki Nami which was great

After reading some of the negative reviews about the hotel i was a bit dubious.
How ever we had a really nice time here, the staff were so friendly and very helpfull.
Our room was lovely, clean, nice beds, toiletries, tissues etc for your use.
Fantastic sea views, everything was just as its advertised on the web site.
we were a stones throw away from the pier, and it looked beautiful in the evening when it was all lit up.
we had a very nice evening meal in the hotel, and the breakfast was excellent,
i would definately stay here again and would reccommend it to family and friends.

The worst hotel stayed at in Brighton, we came for to see the famous Brighton pier and the best we got for was the side street, we booked in advance with a confirmation email and what a suprise a real blunder! Managment didn't care and the workers couldn't speak english. I wouldn't recommend anyone to even consider going there. We booked ourselves into the one of the branded hotels, atleast that way we knew the implications.
My advice never go there, unless you want to mistreated.

The car parking you have to pay extra which is £23 for 24 hours if you stayiong 2 days which cost you is £46... No inform to let us know about the close of meal in the hotel at 7pm and the informations say the meal is open at 5 to 9.15pm so had been let down about that as we have to looking round out of hotel to town centre and find the restaurants. The room was wrong to give which I booked was sea view double room and i was give family room by the hotel and no sea view for us and i feel the price we paid more than they gave us cheap family room and did make a complain to manager but he seem didn't bother to help or sort out. The staff are not english and can't ever speaking english. It ruin my staying for weekend and cost me spend alot there and car parking... don't ever go there or book as you will pay a room when you arrive there and you have to pay extra for car parking!! The room not clean as the window is dirty, sink flood, feel the room like ghost creep...
I won't book that hotel ever again!! I will do about it to get refund because the manager would like to offer £25 pound return but it cover to pay car parking cost £23 but I don't want it as it cost me is £200 included car parking. I went away alot and never ever problem with hotel and staff and manager who are friendly and give us fair but the queen hotel doesn't!! Good luck
