Arndale Court Hotel

This hotel is ok for a night stop over in Poole, the rates being reasonable, but it's certainly not a destination hotel, think more a "travel-lodge". Outside it's a tidy and well kept building, inside it's much more dated. Our room was large, clean and tidy, but dated, bathroom was similar. Plenty of car parking around the back of the hotel. There is free internet access for guests. Staff are friendly. It's a good 15 minute walk into town and probably that again to the quay and harbour area. This hotel doesn't know if it's an hotel, a B & B or a Trevelodge. I can't fault it for (if entirely impersonal) cleanliness, but that's the only thing going for it. If it was a B&B then I'd expect an effusive welcome and a wonderful breakfast with locally sourced sausages and wonderful bacon and eggs - the service from the front desk was jobswoth and bored both checking in and out. Very well run with helpful staff. Dinner in the restaurant was good, serving delicious food. We were very impressed and happy to return to this hotel every year for some week ends.

On arrival, we we`re greeted by an extremely helpful receptionist called Glyn. The room was very clean and of a very high standard for a 3 star. We ate breakfast & dinner and the food would not have been out of place in a 5 star hotel, it was excellent. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Well done to all the staff.
