The Golden Bay Hotel was a very nice, very clean hotel that was in a good location on the island. The hotel was close to the beach, a number of restaurants and bars as well as different shops.
The staff there were helpful and efficient and would deal with any problems that you had. The Reps were also very helpful and offered a wide range of excursions and trips for a variety of different age groups and needs.
Cleaning staff were very pleasant and polite and would not bother you if you were in your room and did not have the time for them to come in whilst you were there.
The hotel had a nice bar and pool with ample sun loungers for people to use.
Overall I would recommend the hotel for people as it met all of our needs and was a good all round place to stay.

My husband and I have just returned from a weeks stay at the Golden Bay Hotel in Larnaca along with another couple of friends.

We all had a fantastic time. The hotel is excellent. Very tastefully decorated to a high standard. The reception and lounge area are of contemporary design and very relaxing. Staff are extremely friendly and would go out of their way to ensure that your stay is enjoyable. We were staying in the superior rooms overlooking the pool and sea. All room facilities excellent with a complimentary bottle of wine/fruit in room on arrival.

Every evening we received a room visit from the housekeeper (Elena) checking that everything was ok and offering sweets to the guests. She was so sweet. Pool area well maintained and you kept the same sun lounger for the duration of your stay. Therefore not having to rush in the morning to grab a lounger. Although this was not necessary at this time of year.

It did get busier at the end of the week but the service never faltered. The beach was also well maintained with access to jet skiing, water skiing, wind surfing etc. The breakfasts were plentiful with a huge choice. We dined in the Les Etioles dining room on occasion and the food was mouth-watering. "Compliments to the chefs".

There are several excellent bars and restaurants opposite the hotel. We would recommend "La Veranda" 5 star restaurant. There is also a new Ten Pin bowling complex a 5-minute walk from hotel. There is a local bus service every half hour during the day into Larnaca centre. This vehicle is a culture shock and has to be experienced to be believed.

Excellent Hotel, have visited seven times in recent years.
Public areas have been extensively refurbished in spring 2005.
Staff and food excellent.
<br>
Ideal for families, located on quiet beach, mini suite is best option.
Not really suitable for people looking for a lot of nightlife.
Plenty of small bars and tavernas locally Larnaca town is 10 mins by taxi, cost Cyp£6.00.

'The Ouzeri' outdoor restaurant is best value in summer (open July onwards) make your own meze menu from Cyp£2.00 per plate.

i definatley reccomend this amazing hotel and resort, it was probably one of my best or even my best holiday I have been on! Go on get yourself there!!!
