The Mayfair Hotel

Booked this hotel back in January 06 for a party of 12, when we arrived we were greeted with a blanket of cigarette smoke as the receptionist seemed to be chain smoking.
After we entered our room found that it was very grimy and the ceiling seemed to be stained yellow and maintenance seemed to be of very low priority.
Service in the bar area was non existent as one woman seemed to be carrying out all the duties.
Evening meal was ok but all in all very basic.
Now here's the clincher, while we were having our meal all of our party was robbed from there rooms' including us, also other occupant's were also affected i.e. one gentleman had his car stolen, the strange thing was all the affected room's were opened and then locked again with a master key which seemed very suspect and the staff became very uncooperative even after the police were called, needless to say that we did not pay the bill, small change really when we alone lost over 300 pounds.
