Burley Court Hotel

I stayed at this hotel for one night...that was one night to many. I had a wasp infestation in my room (47) which I reported to the manager/owner. His attitude to the situation was sarcastic, rude, aggressive and at times frightening, so much so that I felt I need to report the incident to the police, which they took seriously. Over the last year and a half I have stayed at this hotel on several occasions and found it to be of a reasonable standard for a short stay of one or two nights. However, my last visit, accompanied by close friends of many years proved to be less than satisfactory. Whilst my room was relatively clean and comfortable, my friends had the misfortune to be invaded by wasps finding their way into their room early in the morning. We have stayed at the Burley Court a number of times in recent years. The rooms are fairly spacious, not full luxury, but the position near the front at Bournemouth and near the Shops makes it an ideal location serviced by bus stops right outside. The quality of the service from the Family run Hotel is of the highest standard. The food is excellent as is the quantity of the food. The staff and management go out of their way to make any stay enjoyable. We hope to return in 2009

Well what can I say about this hotel, I was quite concerned when I read the other reviews a few days before we were due to stay at the Burley. Yes it is in need of modernasion, it took us 10 minutes to walk to the beach and about 15 to get back as it is uphill. We went with 5 kids of varying ages. The weather was naff, so we went out to lots of surrouning areas. Please think twice before booking this hotel. This hotel was dirty and dated. It was at least 25 minute walk to the sea, with two young children this is too far, but guess what when i booked this hotel i was told a 2 minute walk....... The pool has all broken tiles on the floor, and the furniture around it was so old and dirty it was laughable. A well-situated hotel with friendly staff, pleasant rooms and good breakfasts. The garden, with swimming pool, is a lovely place to relax. Mid-week is a good time to visit Bournemouth and a short bus/train/car ride away is the lovely little town of Christchurch.

Hey everyone!x This was a fantastic Hotel. Really nice for a weekend stay, really close to the town centre and the bars and restaurants. The room was spacious and lounge areas downstairs were lovely. The lift is ridicuolsly small which is quite funny... I would recommend this hotel as it was really clean and pretty despite the slightly annoying staff... Last thing...Have a fantastic trip x

This was the second time I have visited the Burtley court hotel,I would highly recommend the hotel for the superb location and the friendliness of the staff.They recognised me from the first visit some nine months previous.

An excellent well established hotel Family owned for many years and provides the type of service many people find missing in other hotels. very good choice of food, well cooked and presented Disabled people made very welcome My wife and I will be returning
