Stayed for a week with my two daughters and my mum.
The room has a double sofabed which the matress was quite thin, but ok for youngish children. The rooms are clean and comfortable and have v nice flat screen TVs.
Front of house staff are very friendly, esp Chris, and willing to help in every situation.
The dining was nice, some nights food better then others? The waiting staff were brilliant. Breakfasts were always good and a good choice of food, even at bust times.
The leisure facilites very nice and clean and supervised.
Approx 15 mins drive from town but there is a frequent bus service.
The hotel has a buzz to it a very vibrant place to stay. Like a premier inn but with a little more va va voom
Overall this stay was comfortable and clean and friendly. Would stay again

This hotel is approc 15 mins drive from beach and not in the presttiest location.
But it is clean, vibrant and the facilites are good. The staff are brilliant and went the extra mile to help.
The food was good, although the childrens menu was limited, but we did stay a week!
The rooms are clean, comfortable and have v nice flat screen TV. The sofa bed for the children was ok but matress v thin.
The sports facilities are good, v nice pool, spa and sauna.
If you are looking for a clean comfortable stay within easy reach of everything this is a good base.

We booked this hotel on the internet and when we arrived late morning we were told that we could not go into our room because the room would not be ready. Nowhere on the internet did it state that you had to arrive after a certain time.
We went away and came back later to have to wait for at least 10 minutes at check-in whilst one Receptionist was trying to deal with the 4 couples in front of me. Eventually another Receptionist came out and checked us in. The Receptionist (male) was not at all friendly and we had to ask him where the lifts to the room and where the room is for breakfast - you would think that these little details he would of told us.
The rooms were clean and very nice except for a cushion on the bed that had dried chocolate smeared on it!
The only criticism we had was that the walls were so thin you could hear the person next door to you and across the hall.
Breakfast was varied but the cooked breakfast was swimming in oil!
On our check out I had to ask the receptionist (the same man) what the number was for the barrier because he didn't give that information out.
To be honest I think £110 for a night in this hotel is not worth it. A stay in a Premier Lodge was a lot better - cheaper and the rooms were more spacious and well designed and the staff so friendly.
I would only advise people who are thinking of staying here to look elsewhere if you can - you're wasting your hard earned money here.

We recently enjoyed a two night stay at this hotel. Being a new hotel everything is clean and new. The staff are friendly, efficient and only to happy to help except when you check out, then you find you are no longer able to use the hotel facilities. We wanted to have a quick swim before we left the hotel and was told we couldn’t because we had checked out. So beware if you want to use the hotel lovely swimming pool or health suite (both very good) on your last day, do so before 11am.
The breakfast on Saturday was a bit chaotic. We had to wait for 20 minutes for a table to become available. The dining area is not big enough for the size of hotel. Breakfast was the typical buffet offering although the food was very good they were slow in replenishing. Consequently, something was always missing and no sooner had they replaced the missing item and they would run out of something else.
The location of the hotel is disappointing its opposite Bournemouth main hospital and it’s about 10 minutes (by car) away from Bournemouth centre/beaches. Would I stay again? If the price is right definitely, otherwise a hotel closer to Bournemouth amenities would be preferable.

Stayed at the Village hotel in Bournemouth on 13th July 2011 for 2 nights. Disappointed with standard of hotel and I would say it is a 3 star only hotel and having stayed in many DeVere hotels this certainly does not rate as highly. Rooms are pretty basic and more of a travelodge style. Reception booking in was not friendly and I almost felt like the girl was doing me a favour. No information about the area or hotel in the rooms. The final straw came when I had been quoted a price of £69 per night for 2 nights (or so I thought) only to be told by the miserable girl on reception that the price of £69 was for one night only and the second night the price had to be higher. I was not told about this when booking and really don't like hotels where staff are deceitful. I travel a lot and normally recommend and use DeVere hotels as my first choice, but the Villages in Bournemouth is one I won't be using again.
