Bentley Lodge Hotel

We decided to visit Torquay this year for our New Year getaway and from this site chose Bentley Lodge after reading the positive reports from other guests. We were not disappointed this is a quality B&B, and I don’t use the term 'quality' lightly, everything from the decor, the breakfast, the cleanliness of the place and the helpful and professional service from the owners demonstrate this. On the first night we had two minor problems, 1, it was a bit cold in the room during the night and 2, one of the beds was a bit uncomfortable. We mentioned this at breakfast the first morning and immediately another heater was placed in the room and the explanation for the bed was that it was new bedding and was starched, the bedding was changed and the problem fixed, The problems were insignificant however it was how they were dealt with again shows the professionalism and quality of this place. The choice and quality of breakfast is excellent and very well presented in very pleasant breakfast room. We decided on New Year's Eve to go to The Inn On The Green as they had a Beatles Tribute Band on and a three-course dinner. On mentioning this James organised our taxis for us with a local firm. The night was a brilliant success and made a really nice start to 2009. Places to eat we tried were, Ocean Drive excellent food and a nice place. The Inn On The Green, good food, great value with 2 for 1 offer The Flagship OK but not as good as The Inn On The Green If you are planning a visit to Torquay and are looking for excellent B&B then I would recommend Bentley Lodge

A spotless B and B! Everything was perfect from the greeting we recieved when we arrived to the friendly send off when we left. A little portable fridge in the room complete with bottled water was a much appreciated extra. A quiet location provided a pleasant stay away from the the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Definitely worth a stay! Thank you!

This is our third visit to Bentley Lodge the rooms are first class very tatstefully decorated with a few extra little special touches, the food is great, location is ideal , lovely american theme pub down the road about 5 mins walk had a fantastic meal. The owners are very welcoming , friendly and helpfull. This time we took a group of friends, they already want to book again for next year.

What a find! such a great place to stay..spotlessly clean..best I've stayed in by far...friendly, lovely food..fab rooms and a garden to die for!This is the best place I've stayed in including 4star hotels!

Having read the reviews of this B&B on Trip Advisor, and finding a really good deal, we decided to give The Bentley Lodge a try, and were so glad that we did. I agree with another reviewer....this is the best B&B I've ever stayed in. We arrived late afternoon to find plenty of parking, and were greeted by name when we rang the doorbell. A quick tour, and we were in our room. Room was spacious, very light, well turned down, and IMMACULATELY CLEAN, and I mean spotless!!!!! It is just a short drive, or a good 15 minute walk to the harbour where there are plenty of restaurants and bars. We went down for the breakfast both mornings of our stay, and as expected it was excellent. Owners were very polite and really made you feel welcome. The only dowside was the fact that on our first night the people in the room next to us were very noisy, and could be heard through the walls, but I suppose it did'nt go on too late, and the following morning the owner was extremely apologetic, and gave us a £50 voucher to use if we wanted to visit again. the second night was perfectly peaceful. All in all I would recommend this B&B to anyone. If you go to Torquay, STAY HERE!!!!!!!

It has taken me some time to get down and write our review, but thought that I had to share our experience with everyone. We went down to Torquay in October 2007 and had booked with Bentley Lodge online; we had no troubles at all. I had done a lot of research before hand and found that Bentley Lodge was the most reasonably priced B&B in the area.. Upon arrival, we were checked in smoothly and were pleasantly greeted by a tastefully decorated B&B with lovely rooms. I would recommend this B&B to anyone going to Torquay - the owners are really friendly and more than willing to help out with any questions that you may have.

The best B&B we have stayed in. Soooo clean. Breakfast excellent. Early breakfast 8.15 - 9 but would definitely recommend and stay here again when we next visit Torquay. Parking just outside the house and a 20 minute walk took us to beach and shops. Four star luxury.

Bentley Lodge is by far the best B&B we have ever stayed in. The location is excellent, about a 15 minute walk into the centre of Torquay. Parking is at the front door and there is a space per room. The room was immaculately clean and perfectly presented, it really could not be faulted. Hospitality and breakfast were of the highest order and would definately return.

We stayed here for one night 15 July. I only wish it could have been longer. The hotel only lets 5 rooms, but they are of excellent quality, beautifully decorated, such attention to detail and spotlessly clean, far better than some 4 star hotels I have stayed in. I agree with the previous reviewer, it put my home to shame as well! It is about 10-15 minutes level walk to the seafront, so we left our car there and went exploring. Although we could not get into the room until 3pm, we had arrived early and they were happy to let us leave the car and offered to take our bags to our room when ready. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. Again everything was beautifully set out and the service excellent. Will most definitely be staying here again and would highly recommend it to others.

We booked this B&B based on the pictures from their website. We were not dissapointed. The rooms are advertised as "Superior Rooms" Each room has been skilfully decorated and dressed and infact put my own house to shame. Staff are beyond helpful and had a good repour with guests. The location isn't bad either. its a 2 min drive to Torquay Harbour. Im not sure that i would visit torquay again, but if i did i would definately stay here.
