We stayed here for 3 nights half board the staff were all very friendly and willing to help in any way they could the rooms were basic but very clean, the food was well presented served hot on hot plates with more than ample portions
the only downside was a good 20mins walk to town but we found out later that we could have caught a bus.
All in all a good hotel and I would be quite happy to return

friendly staff to greet you and a lovely atmosphere to the whole hotel. the food was nice and well-presented. not sure how the other reviewer can say its a 25-minute walk to the seafront... maybe they got lost?? it takes 10 minutes at most, down a straight road past torre abbey. nice room, nothing to complain about, but nothing that was fantastic. overall, it's a good hotel, and i would like to stay there again.

Booked at last minute with hotel from teletext. would not stay here again. its ok if you are over 60 and like plain food. some food combinations are a little stange brussel sprouts and fish pie. dinner was served at 7pm till 8pm so that it made it difficult to go out for evening. one waitress was boardering on the point on being rude. it seemed that no front of house staff were in control. pleasant room but a good 25 minute walk to the sea. Checked out early by 1 day. mainly caters for large parties who pay less than we did

The only hotel in the UK that I have visited where the guest is required to pay the balance in full upon arrival. A light lunch at this hotel was a bowl of stew, no bread,no sweet,no coffee this was on Boxing day to be followed in the evening with a Buffet dinner where there was insufficient food available for all the guests to have a full choice. The lunch on the next day was spaggetti and meatballs served at the table, again no sweet,no coffee. The room had a outside door in one wall where the gap was so wide a towel had to be forced in between to retain some of the heat. The shower door failed to fit over the bath so the floor if not careful flooded. This hotel from Sept onwards relies on coach trips doing Tinsel & Turkey and while there 2 coach parties were in residence with some guests having returned this year who stated very clearly that having complained they would not be returning again. The waiting staff were very good and the food quality was very good but lacked quantity for the money. The entertainment was very poor. For a quiet louge you had to go downstairs but you were in direct line of the outside doors which did not close correctly allowing a cold draught to enter. This is one hotel to avoid.
