The Mount Edgcombe Hotel

This small hotel is very well run by the friendly owners. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The room was a good size, warm and with a comfortable bed. The en suite is small but quite adequate. The food is good plain English cooking - not fussy but very good. The hotel is on a fairly busy road with parking in front. Our room was at the front so overlooked the road, but there was virtually no traffic noise. This was our second visit and we will return if we have occasion to be in Torquay again.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights (17th-20th June) and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone. The rooms are newly refurbished and clean and bright with very good en suite facilities. The breakfasts - cooked to order - are superb and with a great choice. We stayed bed and breakfast but an evening meal option is available at £15 per person - wine extra. Two excellant nights spent here. Everything was spotless and tidy, the bedroom was well appointed as were all the public rooms. It has a nice, small and friendly feel to it. We shall return.

Just spent two nights at the Mount Edgcombe and it's a friendly, good value hotel. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast very good. The hosts go out of their way to make guests feel welcome and looked after.

From the moment we arrived we were made to feel as though we were the most important people in the world, the whole of the hotel is spotless and the feel is one of the most welcoming I have ever come across. The evening meal option was fantastic value never before have we had food so good in a hotel of this size. We were so pleased we ended up booking another 4 days for next month. Get booked up at this hotel fast because it wouldn't surprise me if in a few moths time there is a waiting list.... Keep up the good work guys it is superb....
