Grosvenor Hotel

We stayed at the Grosvenor for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Paul and Lindsay, the new owners, were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Although the room we stayed in was fine as it was, Paul and Lindsay are going to refurbish the entire hotel, were putting in flatscreen teles when we were there. This Hotel is lovely. Its warm immaculately clean and well heated. We originally booked the Astor across the road but we walked out because it was the pitts. The owners are super ,really helpful and friendly. We had a family room as all other rooms were booked and they very kindly did it for the same price as a normal double.Bedding was fresh and crisp, the bathroom was so clean I would have eaten my dinner off it. My wife and I stayed for 1 night 20/9/08 and did so after reading TripAdvisor reviews. The news is that 5 days before our arrival the hotel had been taken over by new owners!!! Paul and Lindsay (the owners) were working flat out trying to get the place into shape and not let down people who had made reservations under the old management.
