I stayed at the hotel arena for 1 week, with my partner and my 2 children, aged 7 & 11. The restaurant was ok, the breakfast was very good (English Breakfast) No brown sauce. Generally the food was good, not much choice but you could normally find something. The pool area... more

Very good Place to stay.
Me and me partner recently spent a week at the hotel and were extremely impressed with the location, professionalism of staff and hotel facilities. Not too near, or far from the main street and 3 minutes from a beautiful beach. Helpful reception staff and friendly waiting staff. The rooms are beautifully kept with a thorough maid service, I would recommend this hotel very highly.
disapointed
Just spent two weeks at this hotel. Lovely complex stayed half board. Evening meal very poor certainly not 4 star, breakfast good. Pool area not clean.Lacked 4 star touch having to get toiletries, tea. coffee etc from reception also towels when staff had not replaced them.Only one bar for everyone no quiet area . Pauline and David
excellent hotel
My wife and I stayed at the Arena for a week and don't have a bad word to say about this hotel. When booking I upgraded to a suite and this was money well spent. The junior suites ( don't know if there are other upgrades available) were on the ;poolside. This gave us easy access to the pool (obviously!) and the poolbar. We didn't sit at the bar all that often as we could take our drinks/snacks back to our terrace. We also had the sun all day. The room was clean and comfortably furnished with a lounge area. There was a shower over the bath which itself was nicely finished. The staff were all very friendly. We were on a B&B basis and have no complaints about the breakfast buffet- consisted of the usual fare. We did eat dinner once at the hotel and again enjoyed what was on offer. The hotel is in a quiet location, about a fifteen minute walk from the town centre. The way we went was turn right out of the hotel then left at the top of the road, past the Flintstones bar and a shop. You can then carry on straight ahead through the roundabout to get to the top end of main street, or bear right to get to the beach past the mall. I think you could have a lack of a view from some of the rooms and I don't know what the hotel is like in peak season but this was the best accomodation we have stayed in .The resort itself ticks all the right boxes for a relaxing break with a good choice of restaurants. We can recommend Poco Loco, Gibsons, Le (?)Tren and Tony Roma's
Wonderful
Stayed for a week in this small hotel. The room was much bigger than we expected and the bathroom was huge. The staff were really friendly, from the reception the the cleaning staff, I can fault none of them. We were half board and the food was the best I have ever had from a deal like this. More than enough at both breakfast and dinner. The hotel is right on the outskirts of the resort next to the wonderful dunes. If you don't like walking then you may want to be nearer the centre but we had lovely 2-3 mile walks every day. ( we needed to to walk off all the food we ate!) 30 mins takes you to the dunes for sunning yourself. The hotel was very quiet and the entertainment was not well attended. We went one night and by going we doubled the audience for the young man singing!! We would definitely return to the Hotel Arena.
Superb rooms!
Spent a week at the Arena from oct 7 to oct 13 and have to say that it was better than I was expecting. The room was very large, clean and had everything we needed. The batroom was nicely fitted and the shower was great! The maid service is also good and they came every day we were there, including a sunday. The Arena is a fairly quiet hotel, I say fairly because the bar is a bit raucous some nights but it never went on very late. Corrallejo is a super little town and the fact that the Canaries are tax-free made everything seem extremely cheap. The best way to get into town is via taxi and they are cheap and very quick to arrive. All in all it was a super week away and I would recommend the Arena to anyone thinking of going there!
Second visit...would come back again
Have just come back ( Sat. 13th. ) from a week half board at the Arena. The hotel is spotless throughout, the choice and quality of food is above average, the facilities are good and the staff are polite and efficient. We like the relaxing atmosphere of this hotel and feel that it is good value for money. Although it is a good walk from the town , taxis are cheap ( about 3 euros ) and instantly available ! We hope to holiday in Fuertevantura again in 2008, and would confidently book at the Arena again.
Fab hotel, fab holiday!
Hotel Arena was much better than I had expected. It was a reasonably inexpensive holiday considering we stayed on a half board basis. The food was excellent although my friend did struggle at times being a vegetarian but definitely never went hungry! We stayed in a poolside suite which was perfectly situated for everything we needed. The Arena is quite a small hotel and even though they were at full capacity, there was always plenty of room around the pool. The pool area was cleaned every day but the only thing i would say is the water was very cold, even given the unusually hot weather we had. Would be nice if they could be slightly heated? The room was lovely and always spotless, even after we had left a bit of a mess! Shame about there only being CNN and Sky news, not that we had much time for TV! I couldn't complain about anything about the room. Even the bathroom was very spacious. The staff were fantastic, one of the reception staff in particular, i wish i knew his name. Nothing was too much trouble and he did everything he could to help and was sooooo polite. All staff were friendly although we did notice a slight preference for their spanish guests. Hotel does have entertainment in the evening although again, this is mainly dominated by spanish guests and i didnt feel comfortable participating in spanish karaoke! The hotel is perfectly situated about 20 minutes walk from Correlajo town centre, which costs about 2.50-3.00 Euros. There were always plenty of taxis and the longest we waited was ten minutes. Correlajo town is a nice place with a wide selection of restuarants and bars, Flicks is a good bar for younger people with Karaoke and great bar staff. The dubliner is also worth a mention as they had good live music. Would avoid the forum, bit of a dive and would much rather be in any of the other many bars, most of which can be found in the 'Atlantico' Centre, near the end of the high street, before 'music square'. It's also really handy there is a taxi rank right outside the atlantico centre. Arena is situated about 30-35 mins walk from the lovely beaches by the Riu hotels although there is a closer beach, but these ones really are worth the walk, they are beautiful. Also, the arena puts on free shuttle buses which leave the hotel at 10.30am and return at 2pm. We wanted to stay longer so made the walk back which was a bit of a trek but worth it. Weather was perfect all week, ranging from 28-33 degrees and very clear too (although our rep did say we were lucky as it is usually cloudier). Other things worth a mention are the La Lajita zoo near jhandia, excursion to Lanzarote (we paid 35 euros with our thomas cook reps) which is a 20 minute ferry oh and the shops in correlajo town - dont expect things like purfume and gifts to be hugely cheap as they arent, even though it is a tax free island. All in all, i would definitely return the Correlajo and in particular hotel arena as we had a brilliant time.
Booked for next year, great find
Fantastic value 4* hotel with a five* service. I have stayed at many 4* hotels that seemed fancier however this is the best hotel for customer service and value for money. Hotel arena is situated in a perfect position it is close enough to the main attractions of Correlejo town without being in the middle of it all. The town centre is a 15 minute stroll or a 3 eruo cab ride. Free bus to the sand dunes and beach. It has a quiet tranquil atmosphere most suitable for relaxing couples, families are catered for. Everything you might need for children, kids pool area, a play area etc. The guess were mostly Europeans. Some British but not one tattooed lager lout in site! The food at arena was great offering a range of international cuisine and plenty of it. The staff dressed to suit the special theme menu of the day eg.chinese, Spanish, Mexican etc. The cheerful chef cooks your bacon and eggs in front of you while you watch, the same with the main evening meats or fish. They have a very good selection of food, something to suit everyone. On occasions the food wasn't as warm as I would have preferred however this seems to be a common problem at all hotels, it was very good all the same. I have stayed at a 5 star hotel which in my option did not come up to the high standards of this hotel. The staff are very helpful and polite and all speak a little English. It is the first time I have felt so at home while on holiday. The caring attitude of the staff was genuine. Any problems were sorted out instantly. The delightful manager seemed to be there all the time he wasn't afraid to roll his sleeves up and muck in. The hotel and the rooms were spotlessly clean. Larger than average air conditioned rooms. Large balcony with seating. Comfortable beds a sitting area with a coffee table and sofa. A kettle with tea & coffee supplied. A large TV sadly only sky news channel. I have asked for a film channel for us Brits. There is not much entertainment within the hotel there is a bar with a pool table and darts, dance floor. There is also a pool bar for snacks and drinks. I love value for my money and you will find it at this hotel. It was out standing value for a 4 star hotel. For many years I book have my hotels with Vicky at euro-resorts.com. She will aim to find me the best price going. I have always had a honest and reliable service from euro-resorts.com. I will go back next year. If you want a relaxing holiday away from it all then this hotel is for you. I felt spoilt at the hotel Arena. Thanks folks!
Happy Hotel Arena
Hotel arena is situated in a perfect position it is close enough to the main attractions of correlejo town without being in the middle of it all. It is a quiet tranquile atomosphere that mostlty caters for couples although i went with my husband and small child and the hotel was very welcoming. The food at arena is exceptional offering a range of international cuisine. The staff are very helpful and polite and all speak a little english. It´s only downfall was that there is not much entertainment within the hotel however corralejo is only a short taxi ride away. Overall i found the hotel excellent and considering the 4* rating reasonably inexpensive.
Hotel was Excellent
EXCELLENT Hotel was clean staff was great food lovely room was superb, cleaner came in every day what more can we say. Was about a 15min walk to town centre so position was great. Would def be going back to this hotel
