A great place to stay foe a relaxing holiday in tranquil, picturesque surroundings. The Aparthotel is located at the end of a leafy lane on a cliff top directly above a superb beach! The steps down to the beach aren't difficult or steep but an unfit or disabled person might have problems. The accommodation is convenient, comfortable and spacious, with separate lounge, bedroom and kitchen, although the decor is a little dated. Note that although there are views over the sea, or over privately owned low rise apartratments or fields, only half the rooms are available to the public and all these have balconies facing the rear land side. Do what we did and complain and get moved to a higher landing so that the front veranda, at least, opens onto the lovely garden and pool, with a sea view! There are plenty of good restaurants around within 10-15 min walk, including two (one is at the bottom of the steps) right on the beach - fantastic!! Bars are close by too eg 'Holidays and 'Top Ten' along the lane back to the main road. Don't forget to spend time in the old village centre, with a another fabulous beach and more bars and restaurants - turn right at 'The Dominion Bar' and go down the steps at the end of the lane. Finally a warning: avoid May in the Algarve because everyday is partly cloudy and the wind can be cold and strong!

location is very quite and peaceful the apartments are very comfortable but most balconies overlook the carpark The staff are so welcoming from the handyman to the head barman Not much night life locally but a 5euro taxi gets you into the strip or a 20 min walk down 119 steps gets you to a lovely little fishing village with lovely bars and restraurants but you have to go back up the 119 steps or a taxi. The restraurant is not open and the staff say it will not be opening this summer So unless you are doing your own cooking either a long walk or lots of taxis. As for 28 apartments try around 40 see the internet does lie. do not expect to see a holiday rep there was 18 of us aged from in the 20s to rather older ones (Darren and Mags)

This really is a bit of a hidden gem, if you are looking for a really peaceful location but close all amenities this place is ideal and also just a few steps away is one of the nicest beaches I have been on in Europe, secluded but beautiful.
All the bars and restaurants of Albufeira are a short distance away...heaven.
The only downer is no air conditioning but it doesn’t really matter, the apartments are large with a well equipped kitchen and even a washing machine. A large living room with dining table and a very nice bathroom with a very good shower.
Sunbeds are provided around the pool but we mostly headed down to the lovely beach.
Enjoy.
