Crompton House Hotel

On looking through various sites i found this little B+B and phoned to double check the 3 night price was right as it was so low. The very friendly and helpful staff advised me it was right so i booked. Obviously i kept the phone number and details and, on needing a few more details, i called closer to the date of my stay and again. The staff we're really helpful and gave me all the info i needed. A fantastic, family friendly B & B, in a beautiful location between Bowness and Windermere, providing one of the best weekends in the Lakes my daughter and I have ever had. The room we had was spacious, spotlessly clean, and with better than expected facilities. The bathroom appeared to be just about brand new, again was immaculate, and with the added bonus of thick fluffy towels that I would have happily taken home! Just a quick getaway for a one night mid-week stay. We called the guest house direct and spoke to Susan. The guest house is conveniently located just after Windermere on the left hand side, just before the Police station. There is limited parking but we were lucky and parked up. We were shown to room 3 which was very clean and tidy (nice furniture!), very clean bathroom. 20 minutes later and we were having a fabulous lunch in "Hole int Wall" in Bowness. Stayed Wednesday and Thursday night this week. Ideal setting about midway between Windermere and Bowness easy walking to both. Friendly and inviting atmosphere, good rates, not the Ritz but quality B&B. Owners great fun. Good breakfast with plenty options. Will be back as soon as possible.

Do not go to this guest house unless....... you want home from home, excellent food, excellent company & quality entertainment at breakfast time!!!!!! Location is in easy walking distance for both Windermere & Bowness. You would be hard pushed to find a better welcome than the one we got from Susan & Eddie. See you soon, Paul & Jen x
