Ditto previous comments, however: There were hot showers every day when we were there - for a week.....
The journey - Be prepared for a change of vehicle in Marmaris to a smaller coach - the larger ones may struggle around the mountains that lead to beautiful Turunc
Food - What a fabulous array of choice! Lovely salads and filling Turkish food, plus chips and burgers by the smaller pool plus pizzas made in front of your very eye by the beach bar!
Hospitality - Could be better - the staff don't seem to understand English people!
Beach - On its own beach secured by guards! - the beach is not the best I've been on as the sand is dark and gritty, but the sea is clean if a little salty.
Locality - A 15 minute walk into Turunc itself - a nice walk though and much needed after all the food one eats here!
Drinks - Only local drink available for purchase in the hotel even though they have bottles of other drinks like Malibu on display - they don't sell it!
Night Life - Hotel night-life is poor, nuff said!
Conclusion - Very good value for money, not as quiet as others make out as the town is great at night but not for night clubbers.

Just returned from this hotel last week, on the whole a pleasant holiday but a few complaints to add. On arrival we were given our keys to our rooms above the reception block which is the first block built. The lift was not working so up to the fourth floor to look at the rooms, first impression was we aren't staying here for two weeks, room very clean but tired, air con not working, paintwork chipped and bathroom requiring a good overhaul.
Complained to reception and no problem, given two cards and directed to another block which I assume was brand new this year (Room 5001 up), no complaints everything went from 2* to 5* with these rooms, so it does help to complain, most of these rooms seem to be reserved for Russians and Germans.
When we were at the hotel not more than 20 to 30 British which was not a problem, except the barmen favour serving the Turkish, German and Russians first and don't mind them pushing in. Bearing in mind that the hotel had 1300 guests last week and only two people behind the bar, you had to wait a very long time for a drink sometimes, mostly served in plastic glasses and very small measures and when you got to your turn the staff were very miserable.
The food was very good and only on one night out of fourteen did we not have much selection to choose from. One of the swimming pools is adjacent to the food prep areas and on more than one occasion did I see someone slip on the marble floor and land heavily, the staff made no effort to clean up this area and dry the floor.
The beach is very disappointing as man made coarse sand and the sunbeds are the old fashioned solid wood type (no comfort there), a lot of stones on entry to the sea and on the village side of the beach very muddy under foot.
On to the plus points, even though our children are teenagers the animation team entertained the younger element first and then the older contingent from 10pm onwards and truthfully they were excellent.
We had a boat trip organised by the hotel and this was excellent value for money and a really good day out.
The village is only a short walk from the hotel and has a few bars and restaurants which are excellent and of a good quality, the main difference is that they smile and welcome you with open arms, which is the normal hospitality we are used to in Turkey.
Would I go back? a big YES to Turunc but not to this hotel .

The Hotel Turunc is in a lovely place on the end of Turunc village, it is classed as a 4* hotel but I would only class it as a 3* hotel now.
The hotel now caters mostly for Russians, 500+ when I was there, also a mix of German and Dutch about 90, and 9 from England.
The hotel is not as good in reality as it looks in the pictures on its web site.
The rooms are not as good as they look on the web site, the furniture is a bit wobbly the beds are ok but the pillows are like concrete, there is very little hot water, only had 2 warmish showers in 2 weeks and always had cold water in the mornings. Satellite TV was Sky news or CNN news in English.
The plates was always cold so by the time you had queued for your food in the different areas it was always cold by the time you got back to your table, and then find the pepper and salt, paper napkins, knives and forks had been taken by somebody while you were away.
The Russians like to fill their plates as high as possible with food and then fill the top of their table with as many plates as possible, especially fresh fruit.
Drinks were 80% of the time served in plastic beakers so in the evenings you could have a beaker of beer or a nice beaker of red or white wine or raki, brandy, vodka or a beaker of weak gin and tonic they only had one tot which was so small you could hardly taste the gin.
And if you like rum and coke you will be out of luck as they don’t have any rum.
The beach looks good but once you step into the water it’s very stony the hotel does not supply beach towels and if you use your room towels you will have them taken away by staff and FINED.
Most of the staff are friendly and very surprised to find English People at the hotel and want to know why you are there.

fantastic hotel, bit of a trex through mountains for two and a half hours ,but worth it for the views.staff couldnt do enough for us and were very helpful.food was great, not much choice of english though, but on the whole there was lots of choice.4 pools,2 adult and 2 kids, loads of sun lounges,so you dont have to fight!! we went early season ,so no entertainment.but the small village is only 10 mins walk and theres lots of bars and restaurants,( specially the english fish and chip shop) better than english!.5 bay crusie and bbq was excellent, and by far the best trip out.icelemar was only 30 mins by water taxi and cost about £4 return.bigger village and cheaper than turunc.be aware of the rip of airports,£6 for coke,£5 for a small bottle of water and £7.50 for small roll with cheese.be wary of having photo took at hotel £4 for a small 7-5!! on the whole,we had a brilliant time and would deffo go back.
