Tour guide was wonderful, very informative, entertaining and easy to understand. Fully qualified with degrees in architecture and archaeology.
Whole trip was well organised and overall value for money.
Hotel was 3 star (no choice in where we stayed), would have preferred at least 4 star as wasn’t overly impressed with it. Location wasn’t too bad, near Vatican Museums.
Group was around 20, not too big.
Optional trips were provided covering all the main attractions. No pressure to join all or any at all. Plenty of free time over the 5 days either way.
The only hitch was the Alitalia air hostesses deciding to strike the day we were due to fly home, but Page and Moy organised transport back to the same hotel, dinner there and breakfast before flying back early the next morning. All for free. So holiday was stretched to an unexpected 6 days.
