Great holiday for more kids than adults there is a pool and a lot of entertainment for all the kids! The only thing that got mecaprisun.com t! and my kids was the cockroaches, we found at least 13 in 2 weeks, but they do fumigate ever apartment so in the end they all go way! If you are a couple who want a quite holiday personally i would not recommend here. But on the hole me my partner and kids had the best family holiday ever!

got back from our holiday yday, the appartments are how everyone says basic but clean, couldnt fault the cleanliness of the rooms or grounds, saw 1 cockroache in 2 weeks!however i was bitten by a mosquito (which i didnt actually see)once and numerous times by the midgeys, everyday waking up with fresh bites developing into blisters, these itch so much!!
entertainment is basic, snakes, birds,it just isnt long enough the average show was an hour,Gary (the entertainer) is a good guy to ask anything you need to know.
The best place to eat is the chippy next to talk of the town, the underground is next and peenny lanes do a fantastic sunday roast. For a great night of entertainment go to SABIS quiz night, usually in the underground or talk of the town, she is great!
the food on the complex was reasonably priced, and we ate in the restaurant quite a few times, however the buffet is a waste of time....we had a sunday roast for nearly 11 euros each,no roast potatoes and only 2 veg the whole meal was cold, even waiting for fresh to come out and that was cold, complained to rep...NICK...waste of time he didnt sort anything out,we had to talk to reception staff and as a gesture they gave half our money back, thanks for nothing Nick.that is why i gave a 8/10 score.

A Great Holiday

Just returned from two weeks at the Los Alisios and had a fantastic time. We had two apartments in the Los Alisios side and they were clean and comfortable. The complex is kept very clean and the grounds are lovely. There is some work going on, but it is not disruptive and we got a free bottle of wine because they had to do some work on our apartment whilst we were there, but we were lazing by the pool so did not bother us. The swimming pools are freezing, but once you get in its not so bad. We had four year olds with us and they didn't mind the cold. The staff are brilliant and very helpful. We only watched the entertainment a couple of times and its what you would expect, don't go expecting anything outstanding. We ate out every night, the food was on the whole very good. We used the Slow Boat 2 and had the buffet and the China Town, both good. The Poco Loco was really nice, lovely food and very good service. The plaza is great for eating out with children, has a great choice of restaurants and a childrens play area and crazy golf on the roof. Take the bus to Flag Beach, cost us two euros each way, its a stunning beach and miles of it so you feel like you're the only person there. Also town beach is nice, lots of restaurants for a bite to eat or drink and the water is crystal clear. Would definately return to this accommodation.

We are 4 adults looking for a clean, comfortable hotel with edible food and a good location.

We booked over the net and were unsure as to what we would find. For a the cost we were very impressed. Very clean, staff very helpful and the food was very reasonable. The hotel was 2 minutes walk from the main part of Corralejo and 5 minutes from the nearest beach. The pools were very cold. Saw no cockroaches, never smelt the sewerage, as we have on other locations, and the complex was kept very clean. They are refurbishing the apartments and we had one of each but were both very comfortable.

We had booked this holiday planning for the accomodation to be used as a base only. We wanted to find our own entertainment and food as we usually do all inclusive hotels but fancied a change. I was really chuffed we had planned this because if we'd got there planning it any other way I would have been really disapointed. It was a good base, central to the beach, centre, and only a 10 min walk to the harbour. The rooms were spacious and clean. The quiet pool was nice, we went there for a couple of days but the main pool was over crowded.
We always ate out so I can't comment on the food or on the entertainment.
The 2 issues with the hotel were the gardens were watered with something that smelt like raw sewage ever morning about 8am so we had to close all of our doors which was a pain as there was no air con. We had 2 buggies with us so used the ramps in the hotel rather than steps but the saftey grippers we all worn out so it a quite dangerous.
Corralejo itself is lovely it has something for everyone. The beaches are beautiful, we went to Wakiki most of the time because it was closer but did try the town beach near the harbour which is stunning. Both are so clear you can see the fish swimming in quite shallow water.
There's an English strip just off the main road that leads to Wakiki beach. The pubs were quite at night. The best 1 is the Talk of The Town, it's connected to the fryer which was good for a snack at lunch time. At the end of this road is Penny Lane, great for breakfast, full English just how it should be cooked.
The Plaza is bloody brilliant!! It has a Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Italian and Steak House. If you fancy 1 restaurant and your partner fancies another you can eat at any and order from any, the waiters sort the bill out. We did this a lot because my son loved the funny shaped pizzas at the Italian. There's also the 7 Pints Pub in the Plaza, park and small arcade. It suits everyone, adults and kids. My favourite was the Mexican and Indian, the portions at those and the Chinese are huge. My least favourite was the steak house, try the one on the side street near Poco Loco (Not Poco Loco though) can't remember what it was called but it was lovely. Prices ar very similar to home, the cheapest pint is in the English pubs, 2 euro but average is 3euro.
The harbour is lovely we ate and drank at Castaways for lunch and it was great. We tried another restaurant just as you get onto the cobbles on the corner, it was nice for steak and pasta.
We didn't go to the water park but did go to the market on the Fridays, it was good but just the usual stuff, leather etc.
I would definatley go back to Corralejo but not the accomodation although I'm not sure if I'd find another is such a good location.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the Dunas Alisios.
The complex is very clean with the gardens and avaries around the complex and the pools are very clean no rubbish around the only thing is the pools are freezing.
The apartment was very nice it had everything we needed and the maid service was fantastic they were round every day or second day to clean and give in fresh linen and towels.
Entertainment is good too with the kiddies disco in English and Dutch, Gary your a legend lol ! and there is either a quiz or a snake show, dancers etc
As we were half board we had breakfast and evening meal there and it was awful ! with reheats of the same rubbish every night, we would return but only self catering because we had to eat out a lot because it wasnt all that great.
Corralejo is a lovely town with the main street and all its shops bars and restaurants. The places we enjoyed the most were Jaipur around the corner from Dunas Alisios, Castaways near the harbour and for Lunch, Cafe de Paris at the end of the main street.
We would definetely return to Fuerteventura again.

Nice apartment - basic - relatively clean, fine for our needs. Cleaners came 2 to 3 times in the week changed towels etc.
The apartment had a little front garden where we sunbathed, like having your own private apt. We were next to the pool (the quiet pool) (supposed to be heated in 2009 but was extremely cold!). The other pool is busier (these properties used to be two separate ones but they are now one).
Only half of the apartments were full up so the place was relatively quiet and empty which suited us and we went over the Easter week.
We had food from the poolside bar which was lovely, no complaints there - recommended for quick snacks.
The evening entertainment was fine the usual quiz, snake show, singers etc but nice to unwind to.
These are not rowdy apartments, they are very quiet which was what we wanted.
Furteventura is a windy island, we loved Flag Beach and we loved walking along the harbour. Not too much to see and do a week was long enough. I would not return as I dont like windy resorts but its personal choice and we knew this when we booked.
If you want a very quiet holiday then pick Furteventura but not if you want the high life. We had a wonderful week.

4th visit to the complex and 7th visit to the resort.
Rooms were the usual standard, basic but clean and well maintained.
The bathroom had recently been refurbiushed. The staff at the resort were allways very plesant and enjoyed some good banter with the reception staff. Great value for money for food ect, ate at the restaurant and was supprised by the quality, very good value!
Pool was always clean and no rubbish (the kids loved it)
Will be returning in october 2008!!!!
If people read some negative comments on this resort, please ignore them! with 3 kids we wouldnt stay in a dirty unsafe place, and this most certainly is not!
The only reason I have given a 9 not a full 10 is I thought the kids disco had not been as good as in recent years when a scotsman (cant remember his name sorry) did it.

Apr 2008, Miss N Lodge

Me and my partner stayed here for the 1st week in April. i had never been to the canaries bedfore and was plesantly suprised how beautiful it was. we booked last minute and was a bit aprhensive about the appartments.
the apartment itself was above basic for my standards and was clean and tidy no ants or cockroachs. although i was bitten a few times by Mosquitos. i found it poor for self catering however as only one hob ring worked and we had no knobs on our microwaves so spent most of our budget eating out.
the pool area and bar are very clean and all the staff are frienly. gary can be abit annoying at times as he has a loud voice and is always around.
had good entertainment each evening, especially enjoyed the kids disco. the complex is a bit benidormish with the entertainment etc. but ok as a chill out holiday.
the area itself i found to be quite expensive and in line with british prices if not more expensive this is why in a week for 2 of us we blew £500 on food alone. so please be aware of this budget before you come

This was our 7th visit to Los...
8 / 10
Mar 2008, Mr H Lloyd-Hughes

This was our 7th visit to Los Alisios, now called Dunas Alisios. The apartments are basic ,comfortable ,clean and very well serviced by the maids who visit every day. The whole complex is well-maintained by its team. The old los Alisios Apartments are looking a little tired externally, nothing that a coat of paint won't rectify, and the pool bar appears to have been closed down, at least for the time being. There is some refurbishment going on to bring the place up to the standard of the main part which used to be Dunas Caleta. The comments that you may read elsewhere about insects and thieves are out of date. The complex is secure and regularly fumigated against cockroaches and ants but you must expect to see some of these as they are endemic to the Canary Islands in general. In our two week stay, we saw just one cockroach and a couple of dozen ants. Frankly, if you fear such creatures, stay at home and don't go to any hot country ! The grounds and the pools are kept scrupulously clean at all times
The people at Reception are just excellent. They are friendly and extraordinarily helpful and efficient. Our special thanks go to Jayne Neale who has worked there since we first came seven years ago, she is from UK but lives in Fuerteventura permanently with her family and what she doesn't know about the town and the island isn't worth knowing. She is a gem.
We had two light bulbs fuse and a missing sink plug, these were dealt with immediately within the hour, what more could you ask !
Currently there is no shop on the complex but I believe that is a temporary thing; in any case, there are supermarkets just a stroll away at the top of the high-street and you can stroll to the town centre easily, on the flat, in fifteen mins.
Alisios is not a luxurious place but all the important things are good there and it gives very good value for money. We don't use the restaurant facilities at all so cannot comment on that side of things.
The best eating place by far in Corrolejo is called 5th Avenue but almost all the restaurants serve good food at reasonable prices. The Steak House and La Mama are highly rated. Autos Martell offer excellent car hire rates, if you go for two weeks it is nice to have a car to visit places like El Cotillo , Los Mollinos and Ajuy , away from the busy touristy areas. Driving is easy, the roads are mostly excellent and there is very little traffic. Watch your speed, there are police on motorcycles ! Be aware that your car insurances are void if you drive on any of the unmade non-tarmac roads.
Its a lovely island, Corrolejo is a lovely little town and Dunas Alisios is a good and convenient place to stay.
