We booked to stay at Lumley Castle Hotel for a 2 night stay. You are literally blown away from the moment you arrive at the reception.
The staff are all in costume which makes you feel like you have stepped back in time. Very friendly and helpful too.
We booked a Castle Feature Room, which is worth paying the extra for. Absolutely amazing. All the rooms are individual, but in this room the bathroom is hidden through the wardrobe and there are small steps to assist you to climb on to the 4-poster bed.
The food and service in the restaurant is first class.
This hotel is most definitely worth a visit. A truly amazing, spooky experience!
