Myself and three friends celebrated my birthday and retirement at the Firgr ove recently. The hotel and its staff made our stay special from the moment we arrived being upgraded to eexecutive rooms, receiving complimentary champagne at the dinner to bucks fizz and complimemtary teas on departing. The food and service was excellent and it was a memorable weekend and one that we will be repeating.
Warrington is a good base, close to the motorway network of the M6, M56 and M62. The town itself has a good shopping centre and a wonderful cafe on bold street called Shelleys. There are many interesting places to visit, Knutsford, Northwich, Chester, Manchester Wigan and Liverpool,close to National Trusts of Dunham Massey, Tatton Park, Arley Hall and about three quarters of an hour away from the Potteries both outlet shops and where it is made in Stafford.
There are many excellent restaurants in the area from the Choy Hing and Springbrook in walking distance of the Hotel, Rams Head in Grappenhall Village a mile away, Walton Arms (carvery), Hatton Arms, about four miles away.
