Comments:  JUST RETURNED HOME AFTER 2 WEEKS AT THIS HOTEL, WELL, WHAT CAN WE SAY,
IT WAS JUST PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
THE STAFF WERE SO POLITE, THE FOOD WAS EXCELLENT, THE HOTEL WAS SO CLEAN,
AND WE STAYED IN THE BIGGEST ROOM EVER.
MY 9 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WAS PLEASED SHE HAD A DOUBLE BED TO HERSELF. WHILE MY HUSBAND AND I HAD A QUEEN SIZE BED.
I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL, PERFECT FROM START TO FINISH OF THE HOLIDAY.

Comments:  Me and my husband spent a week her on our honeymoon - the hotel itself is 5 star all the away - the hotel decor, the accomodation, the food and the staff were easily the nicest people you could ever meet, especially the receptionists and the pool/bar attendants who couldnt do enough for you. The food was outstanding with the buffet breakfast to suit every ones taste! We had the time of our lives staying her and from what we saw to have your wedding there would be first class! Only downside was the long down hill walk to the beach and to eat and drink at the hotel was very expensive...But we loved our honeymoon, we loved the hotel and we just loved Cyprus...definately will be returning there some time!

Comments:  This is our 5th holiday in Protarus. The Grecian Park is by far the best accomadation we have stayed in.
The rooms, pool and public areas are all very clean . Bed linen is changed frequently and the rooms are serviced daily. You do not need to take shampoo, conditioner or soap as the hotel provides an excellent quality version of all of these items ( this saves a lot on luggage weight!)
You do not need pool towels as the hotel provides clean, luxurious pool towels daily.
Food and drinks are very expensive and you are not allowed to take your own food or drinks into the pool area, however there is a shop very close where you can go and buy drinks and drink them on your walk back to the pool.
Brealfast is of an excellent standard with both English and continental choices. The restaurant staff are very willing to help and are very pleasant.
I would reccomend a car so that you can drive to either Protarus or Ayia Napa to eat in the evening, a car will be more economical than the bus or taxi if you go regularly.
Overall the Grecian park is idylic and i would reccomend it to any one of any age.

Comments:  Just arrived back from our wedding / holiday, drinking a glass of wine and reflecting back on an week of excellent accomodation, excellent food and tears of laughter.

We were part of a group of 30 invited over to the Grecian Park hotel for a family wedding. Our son Max is nearly 2 1/2 years old and this was his first overseas holiday to date. Anyone with young children would be slightly anxious with regards to the standards and facility of the hotel you are due to stay at but we were extremely impressed with the Grecian Park & would definitely stay there again.

Ok, it's not ever going to be 5 stars as you would expect in the uk but the rooms were spotless and well serviced, the ameneties were absolutely adequate and I would not agree with some previous reviews which stated that the sfaff were rude and unhelpful.

We stayed on a B&B basis so I can't comment on the food other than the breakfast which was buffet style and offered everything any normal person could possibly want to eat. Our son Max tended to indulge in Coco Pops, Frankfurters, Strawberries & Toast with Greek honey. He is now twice the size than he was when we initially left for the uk !

The pool was very large and the area surrounding the pool including the gardens are very attractive and there are plenty of sunbeds & shades available for those post night party mornings.

Tips:

1. The hotel bar prices are not cheap so go out of the hotel doors to the road , turn right, walk down the hill and go to the second taverna on the right with the tv screens. I can't remember the name of the bar but it is run by a guy called Tony, they welcome children, the drinks are well priced and the food is excellent. We didn't have one complaint within a group of 30 people' Go for the Mousaka, Dolmades or Sirloin Steak with Madeira Sauce, that's my tip and the Keo beer helps to compliment the whole experience.

2. The local beach is fantastic with water sports available for those more energetic than ourselves. The children loved it and could be left in full view to play in the sand and sea without coming to any harm. The local beach cafe offers food and drinks to keep you going although there is a steep walk down and obviously back up to the hotel which takes about 10 minutes. Take the road route if you've got a push chair.

Summary before I go to bed:

Although we were part of a really good group and went over for a wedding which I must say was superb and held within the hotel grounds (Well done Grecian Park) I do notice good service when I see it and this hotel ticked almost all the boxes for us all.

We would recommend the hotel to anyone and if you do go to the Taverna down the hill from the hotel, say that it was Andy from the Elvis stag party that recommended him to you.

Negatives:

1. A bit of a walk to the beach but worth the effort when you get there.
2. Hotel bar prices need to come down by a third to keep guest onsite in the evening.
3. My wife said that one of the barman was a miserable s**te but the other staff were all ok.
4. Some construction was going on outside the hotel at 8am but I suppose it has to be done at some time so not really a moan.

All in all a great experience ... have fun.

Comments:  Excellent choice.
After refusing the first room we were offered we very quickly got another one with a brillant view. The room was very clean and the daily make-up very efficient (a little tip may be an advantage.)
This time of the year neither the restaurant nor the pool area was crowded so we hat a very calm and pleasant stay.
People at the reception, bar and restaurant were friendly and quick.
The food was good and changed from day to day.
As we had a late arrival we got a vaucher for a lunch which we could use a day of our choice.
It might not be a 5-star hotel in the middle-european sense, but it was at least a 4-star+.

Comments:  The Grecian Park Hotel was fabulous, not only the rooms, food, views but the whole hotel was great.

I stayed for 3 weeks there, and the weather was great every day, the views were gorgeous and the private beach area was always relaxing.

Even though it got busier at weekends, the hotel was never too packed or noisy.

If you're considering going here, I suggest you do as it's the best hotel I’ve been too in Cyprus and great value for money!

Comments:  This was the first time we had been back to Cyprus in over 10 years and we were not disappointed. The Grecian Park is excellent value for money for a 5 Star hotel.

You would pay a lot more in other resorts for this first class standard of accommodation.

The rooms were clean & bright and the electric blind was great at keeping the sun out. We paid extra for a sea view which was well worth it as we spent many happy moments watching beautiful yachts sail in and out of Kinnos Bay. We had wanted champagne & strawberries on the balcony watching the sun set but three days in a row the kitchen had run out of strawberries so book early to avoid disappointment.

We often took lunch by the pool (remember to share as the portions were huge) and were impressed by the frozen face towels they bring round at 2.15pm to cool you down. The walk to the beach is very steep but well worth it and excellent if you like to snorkel. The beach and hotel does get busier at the weekends as a lot of locals visit the health & nightclub.

There was a wedding every day of our stay but this does not interfere with your holiday, if anything it’s great to see which bride looks the best!

The cliff top bar was a lovely way to end the evening with a cocktail.

The only criticism of the hotel was that the entertainment was rather poor and the main restaurant was a bit over the top for my liking. As soon as you put your glass or cutlery down a waiter was hovering at your side. Some people love this but I prefer a slightly more relaxed environment, notwithstanding the food was excellent.

We tried several restaurants outside the hotel; the Italian opposite was good as was Spartiartis next door to the hotel. This was frequented by lots of locals and the variety of fish was great. We also tried the steak house at the bottom of the hill which was very cheap (ideal if you’re on a budget) with lots of 3 course set meals for CYP7.

We used the hotel shuttle bus (always on time) into Ayia Napa and had a great meal at Castello opposite Napa Plaza. Sage also had a great menu.

Over all this was a great holiday and I would definitely recommend this hotel to people of all ages.

Comments:  Hotel was brilliant. We managed to get a last minute fantastic deal staying B&B here. Breakfast was the same every morning but a variety of cooked breakfast, meats, cereals, toast, pastries, pancakes, something for everyone.

Hotel was amazing, our room was spacious, we shared the double bed and there was room enough for 4! Room's were cleaned everyday with fresh towels. We had an inland view, nothing special but it wasn't overlooked because the hotel is so big.

The pool was fantastic, cleaned daily and very big. There were plenty of sun loungers, there were always free ones. We also used the spa and had a massage and a wrap which was well worth the money. All the staff were very helpful.

There were only a few downsides to our holiday, however none ruined this and we still had a fantastic time. The hotel is not within walking distance of Protarus, you do have to get the bus or a taxi which is 5 cypriot pounds. This didn't bother us too much but we were told that it was within walking distance (going there is downhill and would take about 45mins on a busy road). They do however have a free bus to Ayia Napa.

The beach is quite a hike, not so bad going down but coming back up is a struggle. We didn't really go to the beach so that didn't matter.

We asked as soon as we got there if we could have a late check out and it wasn't until 11am on the day we checked out did we find out we could have a room. The reason for this is because the hotel is so lovely a lot of Cypriot's come and stay for the weekend which means at the weekends it is packed.

I loved the hotel and would without a doubt go back again.

Comments:  We had an excellent stay at Grecian park. We got married there and everything ran smoothly. As soon as we got there we had a meeting with the hotel manager who sorted everything out for us...meals, venues etc.

I would definitely recommend it if anybody is thinking of getting wed abroad. It was completely stress free for me! The cleaning staff were fantastic and so efficient.

The food around the pool was lovely too. Wasn’t the cheapest but the portions were huge so were enough for 2 anyway. This is the first 5 star property we have stayed in and was everything we expected and more. They even brought freezing towels round as we were sunbathing!

It was my birthday whilst we were away too and I came in one morning to find a huge chocolate cake as a gift from the hotel!

The hotel is quite out of the way, being young ones we liked to go to Ayia Napa, but the bus service during the day was very regular and only 80cents.on a night I would recommend taxi though as sometimes it was a very long wait.

Taxis were about 7to8 pounds. Overall it was very brilliant and we will definitely be returning maybe for our first anniversary!

Comments:  We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of the morning, that’s myself my daughter and my mum.

The hotel was stunning from the outside even in the dark, and the lobby was just as breathtaking, we were all quite tired so we checked in and went to our room which was very nice and the beds were very comfortable even the bed my daughter slept on (she slept very well). The rooms were cleaned very well every day, with clean towels and bed linen.

We all woke quite early, so on went the kettle for a nice cup of tea which was kept well stocked for our stay, then we opened the blind for a look and is was lovely we had a side view room which had a sea view, but if you paid a bit more you could have a room which overlooked the pool and the beach which had a fantastic view.

We got ready and went for breakfast the choice you had was great, you could have a three course breakfast if you could eat that much! After we collected our towels and headed for the pool which was very clean and VERY COLD but after my daughter begging me to go in for a swim I did, and it was lovely a very nice way to cool down.

We had lunch at the pool bar most days and it was great the salads are definitely a must and the toasted sandwiches were a hit with my daughter (they came with chips)
They were about 350cy and the salads were about 4cy-6cy.

The service at the pool bar was fantastic the staff could not do enough for you, and they were very entertaining.

We walked down to the beach a few times which is lovely, you need to be quite fit to get down there and back up but my mum did it and she’s 66!! (Well-done mum).

In the evenings we would go out sometimes into Protaras or to the Italian opposite the hotel which was really nice, there is a Greek taverna which does a bbq on a Friday with Greek dancing which is great fun and great food!

It was our first time in Cyprus and we have already booked to go back for a week in September we can't wait!

Comments:  We stayed at the Grecian Park Hotel May 2007 for 7 nights; I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are excellent, and nothing/nothing was too much trouble. The holiday was very relaxing, not much to do around the hotel, but Protaras and Ayia Napa only a short bus ride away.

We found that the hotel food (especially the Japanese Restaurant) excellent and therefore we did not need to go out at night, as we wanted to totally relax.

We did read many reviews before we went and I can only say I should not have worried, as this was and will remain one of our best holidays ever. We have been to Cyprus many times and love the island, Paphos is still my favourite area, but we will return to this hotel again as the experience was second to none.

Comments:  My Husband and I booked this holiday for our fifteenth Wedding Anniversary. When we arrived at the hotel we were suitably impressed, and were not disappointed throughout the holiday.

The rooms were kept clean and were of a very high standard of decor. I was very impressed with the electric blind and blackout curtains in the room, this coupled with the aircon would keep the room suitably cool in the high season.

The lifts were tiny as previously mentioned but this was not a problem. We spent several evenings listening to the Piano being played in the foyer area, while enjoying Mocha.

The Charisma Cafe served very reasonably priced lunches and the portions were huge.

Breakfast was the same everyday but there was a choice of cooked breakfast, cold meats/cheeses, toast, croissants, cereals and tinned fruit. You could also make yourself a Bucks Fizz, obviously aimed at those getting married that day.

There were quite a few weddings while we were there, but they did not get in the way of us using the facilities. The pools were cleaned every day and everything outside was always kept clean, including the cushions on the sofas, which we saw being changed one morning.

A new poolside bar was being built while we were there and opened on our last day. They were serving cocktails, smoothies and a small menu of snacks. We loved the idea of being given clean towels for the sunbeds every day; you could even get fresh ones during the day, if yours was wet. The beds were never completely full; we still got a bed at lunchtime one day, having been out in the morning.

Getting to the beach was definitely not for the unfit, elderly or buggies as it was winding and in places steep and loose/ or hard baked and shiny. Once at the beach there were umbrellas and plastic scoop shaped beds, watersports, toilets, and a restaurant a short walk away.

A trip to Cyclops cave is worth a look, allow 44-50 mins round trip and wear your trainers as it was definitely more adventurous that getting to the beach!

We ate out every night, favouring the steakhouse at the bottom of the hill, a 5 minute stroll down hill and a slightly longer one coming back, once dark and full of lovely home cooked food and local wine. We also enjoyed a pizza at the restaurant opposite the hotel.

We visited Protaras by bus (£1STERLING) but unless you like endless gift shops and restaurants, McDonalds and Pizza Hut included, it was not for us.

Overall, a superb Hotel and would recommend it to any age group, as we saw families with babies up to early teens, and couples of all age groups.

Comments:  We got married last year at the Grecian Park and today is actually my 1st Wedding Anniversary. I can not tell you how many wonderful happy memories of not just our wedding day but of the hotel itself we have.

The hotel staff were extremely helpful and we honestly felt special on our day.

The rooms were always clean and sheets and towels changed daily, the pool and bar area was clean and the food was fantastic.

We could not have chosen a better hotel and we are looking forward to returning soon. I watch my wedding DVD all the time as it makes it brings back wonderful memories.

Anybody considering going to the Grecian Park for a wedding or just a relaxing holiday will not be disappointed!!!

Comments:  We stayed at Grecian Park for 10 days for our honeymoon. Everything about the hotel was first class and we didn't experience anything negative unlike some of the previous comments on this web page.

Our room had lovely decor and was always kept clean by the brilliant domestic staff. In the daytime we mainly sat around the lovely pool and drank cocktails which the girls served us at our sun loungers. The sofas situated around the pool with overhead canopies were also great for a bit of shade and comfort away from the sun. The staff couldn’t be faltered for their efficiency and politeness.

In the evenings we tended to get a taxi into Protaras or Ayia Napa for dinner to have a bit of a venture out of the hotel. Waiting for the taxi, we were serenaded by a man playing the grand piano in the foyer which seemed to set the scene for the evening nicely. A superb restaurant we found in Ayia Napa was called Sage which served fantastic food with brilliant service. We would definitely recommend this place for a romantic evening. Afterwards on most nights, we would head back to the hotel and relax at the cliff bar in its super setting under the trees with hanging tarpaulins and lanterns, overlooking the sea where they serve cocktails to you, 100% relaxation found here!!

The food and drinks were more expensive than England but no different to the whole of Cyprus where all is marginally more costly. We would definitely return to Grecian park for future holidays.

Comments:  The evening that we arrived at the hotel, we were stunned at how amazing it was. The view from our balcony was the sea to the left and the pool which was outstanding. Our room was spotless and was cleaned every day including new bedding and towels. We got married in the hotel and everything couldn't have gone smoother, the wedding organiser was brilliant and we didn't have to lift a finger. There were a lot of weddings held in the hotel which we were able to see before our big day and we were very happy. Our wedding day was amazing and the staff were excellent.

The only faults I could find with the hotel were that the lifts were a bit small and the beach was a bit of a trek but gorgeous when you got there! Also, the pool snack bar was a bit expensive but you would expect this from a 5 star hotel.

The town of Protaras was about £5 taxi ride away but we liked the privacy of the hotel location which was ideal for couples and honeymooners.

There is loads and loads of bars and restaurants in Protaras and entertainment on in nearly every bar and was a good night out.

We are hoping to visit the Grecian Park Hotel next year for our 1st anniversary, we could not visit Cyprus and stay anywhere else!
