Old Manor House Hotel

We stayed here for my father's 60th birthday, there were and I have to say that the hotel was beautiful, we got an amazing warm welcome and our room was charming, very clean and comfortable. The plumbing was rather noisy, but it is a very old building and it didn't make a differrence to our stay. Although the hotel is charming and very well decorated, because we were situated at the front of the hotel we had constant noise from the traffic on the road outside which led to a very disturb night. We called short our trip which was meant to be a time to unwind and lost our last day due to tiredness. Such a shame! Sadly, unlike the other reviews we wouldn't recommend the hotel.

We experienced a welcoming reception in a beautiful well kept bed and breakfast with charm and character. This was a very pleasant stay and we will be returning, The room was very clean with mod cons such as a flat screen which amazingly complimented the 14th century character / building. The staff truly made this visit, genuining friendly service and we would be happy to recommend. We only wished we had time to try the restaurant for dinner, if breakfast was anything to be judge by we were very impressed.

I've visited Keynsham for my work a few times and always assumed that the Old Manor House was too expensive to stay at (the dining menu in the window is quite up market) but actually it's not. For the same prices as a Travel Inn you get a place with character, quality rooms, friendly staff (who even remember you from a previous visit: "Hi Chris, welcome back") and an excellent breakfast. Parking is easy, security very good (you get a key fob for entry to the hotel and the stairs to the rooms) and there's free wireless internet access.... more

Great service provided by the staff throughout the one night stay. From the guided tour, to the advice on menus, and general friendliness - the staff certainly upgraded this from a mediocre to an above average stay. The room in the attic was large, but in need of light refurbishment, and a little cold. However, a heater had been provided, which made the temperature more than comfortable. My wife and I have literally just returned from a 3 night stay at the Old Manor House, and it was superb! The reception we got from the minute we arrived from Dee was wonderful and very professional, likewise the two owners, Christian and Michael were the best hoteliers i have ever met! This was a last minute booking made by my husband so was a bit wary what the hotel was going to look like! However upon arrival we were made to feel very welcome by the owners. The hotel is beautifully furnished our room although small was perfectly comfortable and had an ensuite bathroom with a roll top bath. Breakfast was excellent and would recommend you try eating at the hotel restaurant as well the food was top class. The garden outside was charming and very relaxing. Also have to mention the owners lovely dog too!

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding night, and then had a family meal for about 20 guests the next day. Over the weeks leading up to our reservation we had a number of dealings with the staff at the hotel, and we can honestly say they were superb. The Old Manor House Hotel at Keynsham is a lovely olde worlde hotel - real character and lovely rooms. We stayed in the Tower Suite which was lovely although not recommended for the infirm due to the unusual stairs that you climb to get to it. We were able to book a table to eat in the restaurant on the evening we stayed and the food was superb and very reasonable. The staff were friendly and attentive without being overpowering.
