Washington Hotel Reviews
" My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay... "
Submitted By: Miss A Baines
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay here. The staff we really friendly and made our stay really enjoyable-they helped us out a lot with advice about where to go and what to do. The location was also great. We wanted somewhere close to the shops and bars but that was still affordable and this hotel was perfect for that. The room seemed excellent value for money compared with some of the other prices we were quoted for Bristol. Everything we wanted was included and more - like fresh fruit and biscuits etc in the rooms and a great breakfast with a huge amount of choice in the mornings. They also had a car park which was useful as we had somewhere to leave the car when we went into town. We had a lovely time and will definitely be back.

Location is pretty much miles away from the city centre and I walked for over an hour from the city centre to the hotel - ALL UPHILL - not recommended with luggage. There were plenty of B+B's on this same road that looked so much better.
This is certainly not like any hotel I've been in before as its more like a converted Victorian townhouse dividing up all of the rooms to squeeze as much as possible in.
I had a single bedroom measuring something like 15ftx7ft with a bed a small TV and a washbasin. It was depressing and stuck in the 1970's. The main bathroom was shared with 4 other rooms and again was horrid. Yellow bath and toilet peeling plaster and hotels in the floor. No showers here. Hence why I only stayed one night. The bed was like sleeping on concrete and the walls and windows paper thin so you here every noise outside all through the night.
The staff are fine friendly enough and the breakfast was OK (had worse, had better) but the state of the rooms and shared bathroom made me make a sharp exit the next morning, and move to a better hotel for a shower and a decent bed.
Think once, think twice before you book any nights here. £64per night for a horrible room with shared bathroom is nothing short of shocking. There is so many negatives about this place I could be here all day listing them but I can sum it up in one word - AVOID.
