Very impressed with the Victorian style building. The rooms are also as impressive. Range of rooms from standard to executive rooms, suites, and studios.
Our company put us up in a premier room. For this we got a large room with a 37" TV, sofa, plus bathrobes, slippers and minibar. All rooms have a phone with modem connection. A wake up call is also provided on request. Fresh fruit and water is provided every day. Plus you can request a newspaper to be delivered to your room every morning.
Breakfast was included in our package for the first trip, but we had to pay an extra £6 each for the other times. I thought it was quite reasonable considering it was a buffet consisting of full fry up, cereals, tea, coffee, juice, fruit, and cakes. Again the prices were very expensive and we opted for a pub dinner down the road instead. We did consider room service but the £15 charge for a small chicken dish was a bit excessive also!
The hotel also has a leisure club with swimming pool, small gym, hot tub, steam room, and sauna. Massages and other treatments are available at an extra cost. It was lovely. Towels are provided so you don’t have to take them with you, and there are excellent changing and showering facilities.
