Great holiday
Just got back from a wonderful holiday at the Broncemar Beach. The Reps were brilliant and available most of the time to help with any problems you might have. The entertainment team were excellent the best we have ever seen, our children aged 5 and 8 loved all the games which they arranged and they also visited the kids club a few times. The Sports Day in the pool on our last day was really fun to watch (I didn't actually join in!!) We found our appartment clean when we arrived and it was in a good position, some of the appartments round the pool area and near the Sports Bar could be noisy but if you request a quiet room like we did they will give you one away from the noise. We didn't have any insects in the room the whole two weeks we were there apart from the odd fly!! We stayed on a half board basis so ate breakfast and evening meal every day and found the food really good (no upset tummies!!) and our children had no problems finding something they liked. The only things that we did find irritating: (1) the pool tables - there are four and most of the time they were broken or the white ball was missing. (2) the floors around the pool are very slippery and I saw so many children fall over (we told our children not to run around the pool so it sort of solved the problem) (3) although there are a lot of sunbeds round the pool if you want an umbrella you do have to reserve one early (not really a problem for me because I was up early and we got one most days). If the hotel stuck to the rule that you could not reserve sunbeds this would be better but once one person puts their towels down everyone follows suit (including me!!). In summary the Broncemar is a nice hotel with good food we had a great time and the things we were not happy with didn't spoil our holiday.
ALI & CULONA
Nicola and Ali miss u all so much! Entertainment team were good but not as good as the PULSE team. Dan the football man and Spike were definatly the highlights for me (and Vicky for the BigBrother updates!) whereas for Ali it was the waiters (and Aday knew it!). They were lovely, real good at english and translating i.e "marigita" and "helypoiay"!! haha!! I even have a new nickname "Culona", thank you Aday!! We are coming back next year ALONE, cant wait till then, hopefully Israel is gone!! He's a "helypoiay"!! and then Aday you can make me another "red drink"! C y'all then! Oh, Spike you better still have Jesus sitting on your bed and the flashing balls on the string thing that i can play with!?! from Nicola...
Great family hotel
Just returned from a week at the Broncemar Beach, myself, and 3 'kids' 17, 11 & 10 yrs. The apartment was lovely, spacious & clean. The food was fine, and the entertainment was fantastic day & night! Beach was 5 min walk away thru shops and was great, but sea is stoney so take beach shoes. Lots of places to eat out if you want to, only a couple of mins walk away. One warning, all floors in rooms & around whole hotel very slippery when wet, which they are most of the time due to the pools. Staff all friendly & helpful. Supermarket in hotel well stocked and prices reasonable. Would definatley go back. Thanks to all the staff for a wonderful, much needed holiday.
worst holiday ever
First day there my daughter cut her finger to the bone with the hotels knife. Third day my husband and 3 yr old trapped in the apartment because a nest containg 100's of coachroaches were trying to get into our filthy aprtment. Moved to a room that was on the main road to the airport, it was like sleeping on the M23 outside Gatwick airport. Friends also moved from thier apartment due to cockroaches and sewage pipe bursting. Had to get up at 6.30am every morning to get a sunbed so no lie in. Fifth day we had brown water in our aprtment and so could not shower, this was due toa broken boiler. Pool was so dangerous that my daughter recieved a 6 inch cut to her leg from the tiles and her friend recieved one ten minutes later, and the next day a child had to have stiches in her foot for the same reason. the pool area was filthy and the water in the pool slimey, toilets by the pool made you want to gag and the apartments did not even get a sweep out so you got large silver fish fighting for floor space. The food was awful and the attitude of staff was horrendous, the only good point of this hotel!!! were the Thomas Cook reps who provided great entertainment in a scummy enviroment. Take my advice and book elsewhere for your holiday
Great time had by all!
Always worried when going to a place that we have never been before , but this time there was absolutley nothing to have fear abt . It was great from the moment we arrived . First night was quiz night hosted by the delightfull Hayley and the incredibly funny Rob, plenty of laughs and a great Ice breaker . Every day there was great poolside entertainment provided by Rob, Dee, Sarah,Alex and Haley(not forgetting Dan Dan the football man ,My wife lusted after his legs the whole time) these guys work really hard so if you are staying here make sure you get involved it will make your Holiday, especially if you recieve a "superstar T shirt" The evening entertainment consisted of themed song and dance nights peformed by the above entertainers, very funny stuff the best thing about this team is that they looked like they were enjoying themselves all the time . The resort its self is quiet and freindly and ideal for families , the steak at gambrinos is excellent (ask for Paul the waiter he is a funny bloke) we also recomend El Patio and La Boadagita for eating out . Back at the Hotel a good way to wind up the evenening is in the onsight tavern , toot and flute on the Kareoke provide plenty of laughs. We are looking at going back early next year and recomend this Holiday to one and all . Once again thanks to the Hotel staff , the waiters and most of all the entertainment team , even if they do take the staff /guest water polo a little to seriously. Many thanks, Nick Sharron and Casey room 214 Oh by the way set up a Yahoo Group, do a search under Broncemar Beach and feel free to post your pics .
great time had by all
The family.Big Lee,kelly Brett(11) Chelsea(14) wanted a relaxing fun holiday. This we got at the Broncemar Beach. The Thomas Cooke reps were kind and helpful. The appartments were clean (only fault no air-con and had to pay for fan) Also charge for toaster and kettle. The entertainment team were fab! Hayley,Danielle,Rob,Sarah and Alex. We will think of Bingo in adifferent light now as they made their own calls up no2 spanish poo. no11 Rob's lovely legs! We also came home with the much sought after SUPERSTAR T-SHIRT YEAH! We had the lovely lady's crepes also gorgeous. We also went to Suzi's for a fab English Roast dinner and Restuarant China. The ladys get a fan after the meal which was much needed in the 42degree heat. Great place, great fun, great weather , great holiday. will go back.
We'll be back!!
Quite simply the most fun we have had on holiday. The entertainment staff made the difference from above average to excellent! Both our children were made to feel like VIPs. Weather was fantastic but we could of done with some A/Con in the rooms but I suppose you can't have everything. We would go back in an instant.
weather great
i was disappointed in the hotel .pool area had a mop taken over twice in a fortnight .rooms had poor decor. noisy in hotel at night. had to rent a fan toaster. we were hb but food not up to much if you wanted to eat after 8.30. very limited shops. reps advised us to use supermarket in hotel. it was veryexpensive. go to atlantica shopping centre its only 2 euros in a taxi.there is also a nice little beach at the other side of atlantica.it was a good island for the sun but i only managed to get a sunbed 4 days out the fortnight so you will have to be up early. spanish staff at reception were excellent kids entertainers good sadly i had a problem and the rep for the hotel took a while to sort it out .very quiet. hilight of holiday was a lovely lady who made very nice crepes that my daughter lived on for a fortnight.
Aday!!.......We miss you!
We booked our holiday about 10 days before we went. It was our first holiday as a group of friends and were a bit worried about what we would find! We got back only 5 days ago and it's been the longest five days of our lives! We want to go back!!! We loved it sooooo much! It was amazing! The apartments were great, there was 5 of us so we had to have 2 but they were next door to each other. They were also right next to the football pitch so had a lovely view of Dan Dan the Football Man every morning!! If your reading this...."Hi Dan Dan!!" The entertainment team were certainly entertaining! Their version of Aladin was hilarious, especially Widow Twanky, it's just as amusing for adults as it is for children! Be sure to take part in the pool side quizzes, we did! The only team to get 14 out of 14 on a disney quiz!!! The Tavern on the complex was great, karaoke provided much amusement! Even the staff and entertainment staff joined in, they were amazing! Especially the bar man (with glasses) Eeray(?!)!! (Tilly fell in love! She was weak at the knees when he kissed her goodbye!!!!!!!!!!) ADAY!!! He's amazing and we love him! Some how he managed to be our waiter everywhere we went, the poolside bar, the restaurant and the tavern!! If you're reading this...remember us 5? Especially Boo!!? We have a picture of you hanging out your window!! Anyway rounding up the holiday, it was absolutely amazing and we really really want to go back. One week really isnt long enough. We hope to see you all again next year! Love Alex, Natalie (Tilly), Rachel, Katie and Boo!!!
