Just got back from Broncemar Beach. travelled with wife and kids (aged 16 + 18).
We also went last year and to be fair the reason I did not review last year is a bit selfish.
Had apartments 247 + 248, clean rooms with no wild life in either.
The shower taps burst on Sunday afternoon, phoned reception handyman there within 5 minutes and within the hour brand new taps fitted.
I have seen mention that there was maintenance/building work taking place, but you must consider this is open 12 months a year and with 400 odd apartments to look after I would rather have some work going on than shabby buildings. My parents live in Cyprus and the sun just wrecks concrete and that type of construction requires plenty of TLC.
There are 2 pools which work out at one lively and one quiet and I heard no complaints about the poolside music. The sun loungers (of which there are plenty and mentioned by everybody else) do need some TLC in the very near future but despite their looks when you lie down they are comfy, they just don’t look it.
The soft drinks 2 euro small 3 euro big and the beer is 3 euro.
The price in the surrounding bars is 2.50 but you can work the happy hours 2 for 1 during early evening. (they do not pay duty on drinks like us so it is a puzzle why drinks are so expensive)
Thomas Cook Entertainers were on change over from winter to summer so first part of week Chris, Frosty, Kez and Kylie and the second part of week was Jonny, Adam, Kylie, Kayleigh and Vicky.
Both sets were fantastic! Jonny’s crew probably edged it. He has more experience and had the new entertainers mixing very quickly with us guests. The evening shows (we didn’t watch many last year) are good fun. Most of the entertainers have excellent voices and are good dancers, the shows aren’t childrens shows but are family based and even my kids at 16 + 18 enjoyed them, although some people might find them not to their taste.
If you want entertainment through the day and evening without the need for much thought, it is all planned for you and it would be hard to find somewhere better.
Top place to eat Fado’s Rock about 10/13 euro for a fillet steak/lamb/chicken and it is fantastic.
Top Tips
1. If you want cheap beer during day, buy it at the supermarket and drink using the plastic pool side glasses from the bar.
2. If you want to get the most of this place and want to really enjoy it, take part in everything, after a few days every one knows everyone else and it makes the holiday more fun. (Even the miserable ones concede this by the end of the week)
3. Have at least one meal at Fado Rock
Complaints.
Only one really, with the exchange being so poor it makes drinks in at the complex quite expensive. With a little more imagination and some basic economics on pricing they could retain more people in the evening.
If you read all this well done!! The reason I did not review it last year was I wanted to make sure there was a place for me this year.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing week in Costa Caleta (also known as Castillo and Caleta del fuiste just to confuse you!!). Broncemar was perfect for our needs being close to the beach and shops/restaurants and not too close to be noisy.
The pool area was nice, although water very cold esp for the little ones (23 months old and 4 months respectively).
Our eldest (6 yrs) loved the kids club and the mini disco which is held every night at 8pm by the pool.
The weather was nice - warm and windy, at times over cast. We hired a large family car (100 euros for 2 days with Tropic rent a car) and it came with 3 varying sizes of car seats for the 3 kiddies. We went to dunes in north on 1st day which is lovely and into mountains on 2nd day which I really recommend if you want to see the real Fuerteventura. There is a lovely view point with a vista over mountians and up valleys where you see little villages (near Benacuria) and the town is lovely with nice church. We aslo liked Pajara and its spanish feel. I would highly highly recommend visiting the beaches of Jandia - 1.2 hours approx south of Costa Caleta...absolutely stunning and the highlight of our trip. Clear turquoise waters and white sand. You would need to hire a car or go on Thomas cook bus trip (expensive). Gorgeous and amazing for wind surfing.
We did a day (Thomas Cook organised tour) to Oasis Park at Lajita which was great fun and the kids highlight esp the camel safari.
Staff at Broncemar were lovely esp in the shop (free lolly pops and pay us manana when we didn't have enough change!) and our cleaner Carmella was fantastic. 5/7 days apt was cleaned and towels changed. Toaster, coffee perculator, kettle etc provided and fridge had a mini freezer which was v handy.
In costa caleta liked Casabel for traditional food. Ropa vieja and paella recommended. But we are not the burger and chips and full english brekkie lovers whilst on holiday we try local food so may not be for everyone.
All in all...Highly recommended . only 9/10 due to delay on way home and lack of info from staff.
One last recommendation - exclude the transfer from package holiday...thomas cook were going to charge us an arm and leg and we got a taxi from airport to Broncemar for 8 euros each way. Plenty of taxis and no wait! Enjoy.

We got back at 5am this morning from a lovely week at the broncemar. My boyfriend and I are in our early thirties, no kids and booked a few weeks ago for a relaxing week away .. this is exactly what we had. When we arrived we found our apartment clean and nice, with a great sized balcony and nice views, equipped with everything that we'd if I'd have wanted to cook, but as I was on my holidays the only thing I cooked was toast and we chose to eat out!! The staff at the Broncemar were very friendly and helpful, especially the reception staff. There are a few grumpy women who work in the pool bar but nothing major. The pool area was great, its nice that it has the quiet pool (even though it wasn't heated) and then the family pool. The quiet pool was quite cold but was very refreshing when we needed a dip to cool off from the sunbathing, and it was lovely to have a quiet area to sunbathe and relax away from the noise and the kids with the ball games and general kiddy chaos. Its very handy having the supermarket on site and the staff here are friendly, its probably a little more expensive than the local netto's but we didn't mind paying the extra for having it so local.
There are a lot of broken loungers but there are hundreds of them so its not difficult to find one!! They're simple to fix to so we never had a problem.
We didn't see a single cockroach the whole time were were there, there wasn't a single bug in the apartment! I normally get bitten to bits on holiday but this is my first holiday without one single bite, I didn't even bother with the insect repellant because i didn't see one single mosquito!
We found the Thomas Cook staff really friendly, the rep was a bit snooty and came across quite false, the entertainment staff were really nice .. frosty, chris, kez and kylie. They always said hello and had conversations with everyone, they really tried to get everyone involved and were always happy and made their presence known. we had a few queries while we were there and they were really friendly and willing to help, the rep wasn't very approachable but the entertainment staff made up for it. The rep seemed more bothered about everyone ticking the 'excellent' box on the questionairre than actually being bothered with anyone.
We hired a car from 'Orlando Car Hire' at reception, we got a Corsa for 54 euro for 2 days which we thought was really reasonable and with the petrol only being about 80 cents a litre hiring a car is a must! We did want to hire a nice convertible but we tried everywhere and they were already hired out, next time we'll know to book one well in advance before we travel!!!!
We went up to Corralejo but only stayed an hour, it wasn't as clean as Costa Caleta and was a bit more tat shops and tacky pubs. there was however a lacoste shop so my boyfriend was happy!
On the way though we stopped at the sand dunes, these are unmissible, its so peaceful and the scenery is fantastic, the beach and the turquiose see there is unreal and would be a great place to spend the day.
We went to the south of island to, La Lajita park is a must visit!! it was cheaper with the car hire and paying on the door than booking it as a trip through the reps. The animals all seemed very happy and had a great environment, they seemed very well cared for and would be a great day out for any age. The crocodile show was really good, presented by a brummy steve urwin type, he was really funny and the show was captivating. There were giraffes, hippos, birds, marmosets, kangaroos, meerkats .. too many to mention!!!
We found the resort of Costa Caleta the nicest resort on the island, it was not too quiet and not too busy. Very clean and friendly.
We had some fabulous meals out, Tony Roma's for ribs was delicious and Mappy's down the steps opposite Piero's music cafe was a great place. Mappy himself is a total nutjob, totally entertaining and really friendly, fabulous meals and excellent atmosphere. We spent a few nights at Piero's and it was the best place for entertainment. Piero did most of the entertaining and he does like the sound of his own voice a bit so couldn't have gone there everynight but it was definately the busiest bar in the resort!
We had a lovely meal in the broncemar one night at the a la carte outside near the pool, we had steak cooked fresh and to our liking on a hot stone cooker next to our table, definately the best meal we had during our stay!! It got a bit chilly so the waiter brought us a gas heat lamp, everytime my wine got low he was straight over to the ice bucket topping it up and generally couldn't do enough for us!!
On the journey home when we got in the queue for check in the rep told a few people that we were delayed by at least 2 hours due to snow storms at home, but then she left. It was only by word of mouth that most of us found out about the delay. There was nobody to ask for updates and we all felt a bit abandoned. As there are no flights after about 11pm due to the noise over the resort each flight went and ours just showed as 'delayed' on the boards, til eventually the last few flights flew out and we were left in a closed airport with the cafes and shops closed!!! We all did get a bit worried thinking we would be spending the night and not flying til the morning but then we saw a thomas cook plane come in. When we eventually got on the plane the steward told us that the delay was due to the fact they didn't have a pilot to fly the plane so had to get one flown up from manchester to newcastle to fly the passengers out to fuerte and then to fly us home. Probably something that could have been prevented!!
All in all, we had a great holiday and are planning to return later on in the year, we had great weather and great fun.

We went to Broncemar Beach Apt during half term - me, husband, and kids aged 19 and 4 and really enjoyed a relaxing holiday.
The accommodation was ideal for us - plenty of space, close enough to the pool and we even got to know a few of our neighbours in the apt nearby (kids played together). On site there are 2 large pools and a kids pool and poolside bar and catering. There are 2 shops onsite and an Irish Bar which is open to 3am. Our accommodation was 100 yrd from the pools but we never heard any noise at night.
The Thomas Cook reps were great fun - we normally hate that sort of stuff - but Kez, Wes, Kylie and Ollie put a lot of effort into keeping us entertained.
Our little one enjoyed the kids world and even managed to get 3 swimming lessons thanks to Kirsty - that was one of his highlights.
Our big lad meet up with a few other teenagers who had been dragged along on their family holiday and he only ever made it back to the apt when the on-site tavern closed for the night.
Caleta de Fuste is quite small but we ate out somewhere different every nite and the food was really good - I would recommend o'fada steakhouse (batman statue outside it) and the Chinese which is at the top of the steps in the main shopping area.
There are a couple of crazy golf courses - the one at the far end of the resort is in much better condition that the one on the beach front.
I also recommend going to the rocks at the far end of the resort to see the chipmonks - I was able to get some brilliant photos.
We had 4 good days and 3 overcast days - it's worth planning ahead for the overcast days as it's a good opportunity to see outside the resort - we didn't.
I would certainly consider going back for a holiday that doesn't take too much effort (apart from enduring the lack of space on mytravel flights!!!)

My husband and I have just returned from a holiday in Broncemar Beach with our two children aged 2 and 5. We had a fabulous holiday! The apartments were spacious and had everything you would expect in self catering. They were cleaned regularly and the towels were changed often. The entertainment team in the hotel worked really hard and I was quite suprised how good they were because Rep entertainment is often a bit dodgy. Our kids thought they were fab! The hotel staff were always very friendly and helpful.
The Broncemar is really well located, not far from a great beach, which was really safe for kids. We all felt really safe day and night where ever we went in Costa Caleta. The restaurants we went to close by were all excellent and good value for money.
The only downside of our holiday was the temperature of the pool (which was advertised as heated) it was February, so I know we wouldn't have got a pleasant unheated pool but it was too cold for our young children to enjoy, so we went to the beach every day. Also the poolside was extremly slippy and not very child friendly, making the beach the only option for us in the day.
If we were to go back to Fuerteventura though, we would stay here again without a doubt.

Me and my boyfriend have just returned from the broncemar and would reccomend it to couples and families alike.
The apartment was very spacious with plenty of storage space and a clean kitchen area (although we always ate out).
The pool area was large and even though it was low season the hotel seemed reasonably busy. There was always a sunlounger available, however I will say the loungers do need updating many were broken.
The location was great 5 mins from the shops, restaurants and 10 mins to the lovely beach! The resort of caleta is friendly and has everything needed for a relaxing holiday!
The reps were really energetic, informative and worked very hard to entertain the guests. The reps show was an enjoyable evening!!
The hotel staff were helpful and friendly.
The value of money for this hotel was excellent. The broncemar was a good base for a relaxing holiday in the sun!

The apartment was larger than expected, rooms cleaned regularly, kitchen was well equipped.
The staff were pleasant but we didn't have much dealings with them. We actually went to the holiday reps talk which was most helpful. Ate and drank out at the local restaurants which are very reasonable - don't buy anything at the hotel as local is cheaper.
Plenty of room at the pool but then it was off peak. Nice and relaxing hol, thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend to anyone.

I have over the past few years been to a lot of lovely places, but Feurteventura is amazing with very beautiful landscape.
When we arrived at Broncemar Beach ApartHotel it looked really nice. The reception staff were friendly and kept our passports for the night. The rooms are very nice and spacious, however there is no air-conditioning but there are doors which you can leave open to let the air in the day when you're there, don't risk robberies. You have your own bit of patio if your on the bottom floor like us! The maids come for cleaning everyday with fresh towels.
If your on Half Board like we were the food is very nice, there is a cooked breakfast or a continental breakfast, you choose! For the evening meal there is different choices each night but there is always good old fashioned chips! Or if your more healthy like me there will always be salad. And don't worry there is always a desert!
Like I said at the start Feurtventura is beautiful and the Aparthotel is only a short walk from the beach which is very nice! There are parasols, which you have to pay for, but are worth it if you spend the whole day at the beach! There is also a mini golf course which is good for children and adults at night just near the beach! There is also shops near for souvenirs and all sorts! There is a small supermarket but very handy for food and drink for those who are on self catering!
If you do go on any trips for the family, I have to recommend the water park and the island tour. The water park is very popular so if you're going book it as soon as you decide you want to go. It is good for small children and older ones two! The island tour wasn't very popular there was only about 10 of us when we went! You see all sorts of amazing landscape. And you get a meal at a restaurant and the food was gorgeous. So if you do want to go on any trips that's what I would recommend!
If there are any bad reports about Broncemar Beach Aparthotel they are all lies because as far as I'm concerned its a great place for absolutely everyone!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Dec.07. Weather helped in being very nice. Not too hot, had a sweater on in the evening.
Apartment great with enough equipment to make the self catering option easy. A massive sun terrace to lounge on and a very clean room with enough storage to keep anyone happy.
Bar prices could be found a bit cheaper in the resort itself.
There are still enough uninformed people in the resort to fall for the old cry of “Just look at this, you have won the highest prize on this scratch card, all you have to do is --------" .
Yours, Ernie.

I've just returned from a week’s holiday to Playa Del Ingles and my mum and I stayed at the Broncemar Aparthotel.
The room was basic but cleaned every other day and our towels were changed every day. The bedroom contains two fairly comfortable beds and adequate space for clothes. The front room contains a sofa, chairs, TV (although I paid 1 euro to use this - for about 50 mins worth of TV watching - but found no English channels!) The kitchen has a sink, cupboard, utensils, stove but no oven or kettle! There is a bath and shower in the bathroom. The balcony is pretty big and the view from ours was beautiful.
Although the reception staff did not speak much English, they were very welcoming.
The hotel is currently being refurbished but the work does not really disturb you.
The pool was lovely and there are plenty of sunbeds situated in good places around the pool. We were on the 2nd floor and I saw no signs of cockroaches.
As we were self-catering, we did not get to experience the food. There are a number of restaurants around the area but be careful when you go to any restaurants or bars (apart from the Irish bars) as they have a lot of PR staff trying to entice you in their bars/restaurants offering free shots - you have to buy a drink to get the free shot!
The area is a fantastic place to holiday - the locals don't speak much English - a lot of the tourists are German so this seems to be their second language. The Irish Centre is situated just across the road from Broncemar and contains bars such a Patricks, where the drinks are cheap and the staff are friendly.
The Yumbo centre is about a 20-30 minute walk away (3 mins in the taxi - costing between 2 and 3 Euros) and near the Yumbo centre is the Prisma Centre where you'll find Shenanigans, Red Cow etc. Shenanigans is a great night out - quizzes with prizes, karaoke, and football. The food at the Red Cow is cheap but very very good.
All in all, the holiday was fantastic and I wish I was still there - I will definitely be going back. We paid £189 each for one week, which is definitely a good deal!

Unlike some of the other ratings on here, mine is a good one!!
Me and my wife and 3 kids ( aged 14,11 and 9) absolutely loved the place.
The appartments were nice and clean, maid service 5 out of 7 days. The hotel staff were excellent and helped with whatever problems people had ( we had no hot water one morning, and it was sorted within 10 minutes)
I only saw one cockroach in the fortnight that we were there, and that was on a pavement well away from the complex.
The pool area was spotless, even though there are some minor works being carried out around the poolside. I agree that the sunbeds need some TLC, but I wouldnt call it a major problem unless your sitting up all day reading a book!
The entertainments staff ( Vicky, Jonny, Adam, Kylie and Kayleigh) were absolutely fantastic. They put in extensive hours, and do it with a smile and no complaints. You're all stars, guys!
As for eating out, I'd recommend the Slow Boat chinese ( 40 quid for 5 of us, including drinks) or O Connors Irish bar if you like a good choice.
For days out, I'd recommend the trip to Oasis Park...... just for the ride on the camel alone!!
All in all, an excellent holiday in an excellent complex.
Top marks to Thomas Cook, especially in landing 5 very highly entertaining entertainers!
