Disapointing

We have just returned from Broncemar Beach since we arrived at the hotel we had nothing but trouble. We checked in at 10pm and went straight to our apartment just outside our apartment was a strong smell of cat faeces and cats everywhere wondering around later finding a 'cat cafe' just around the corner from our room which we find apauling when there are young children around. First thing we wanted to do was have a shower and a cup of tea this is when we realised we had a kettle but no lead and the shower was not working. We went to reception to inform them of this and they were very rude and said nothing could be done until the next day. As we were not happy with the service so far we spoke to our rep Mikey the next morning who was fantastic he got us a lead for the kettle there and then and sorted out a room swap for us even though the reception staff was not best pleased aboput this. Once settled in the new room and finally got in the shower the fitting for it on the wall fell off on my head again we spoke to the rep and he sorted this out but even after a new one was put up we had to hold the shower head as it didnt hold it properly, the bottom of the bath was dirty as though it was rusty. On the third day in the door handle on the apartment had broken meaning we couldnt close our door it took then until the following day to sort this out so we were left with the door open overnight. On the final night we were there we had an infestation of cockroaches again reported this straight to the reception that gave us a bottle of insect spray to sort it out, there must have been over 50 of the cockroaches in the room. We went half board at this hotel the breakfasts were okay but not much for young children we had to buy our own cereal for my son as there was nothing there for him to eat. The evening meal had a great selection to chose from but again not much for young children. The deserts were apauling was very disapinted with this there were jelly and something that looked a little like angel delight and dried fruit on the side. The entertainment at the hotel was good the entertainment team obviously worked very hard at this hotel and we were very pleased with this. The kids club was great too my son really enjoyed this and they were very friendly. The childrens pool was very small and it was very cramped around there, there was decking to walk around the complex which was leathal i had stood on many pices that were uneaven and almost fallen over, also around the pools were very slipy my 3 year old son had fallen many times.
The apartments were very spacious but dated and basic. The bathroom towles were brown and not very soft, there were broken tiles in the bathroom. No airconditioning in the room either.
Due to the problems we had we spent as much time away from the hotel as possible, it was not an enjoyable holiday and certainly would not reccomend this to friends or family. I have given a 2 rating for this and that is only for the great reps we had there and the entertainment team.

Great Family Resort

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the broncemar and i must say i was not dissapointed. We wanted a great family holiday and that is exactly what we got. There was just a few minor things which if wanted to be picky we would say the food is not amazing at this hotel but it was average and there was plenty of it which is more than i can say for other hotels we have been to. The rooms were spacious and very clean. The bar staff were very friendly as were the restaurant staff. However, we found the reception staff to be a little rude and abrupt on many occasions. There are 2 fairly sized pools at this hotel. The thomas cook entertainments team at this hotel are absolutely brilliant, best we have ever seen (and we have been to many other hotels with animation and entertainments teams) I take my hat off to them they work exeptionally hard and constantly seem to be at work. Daytime activities, kids disco at the evening and also brilliant shows. However, 2 people in particular (Danny and Hayley L) were amazing entertainers!! Would deffinately recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a brilliant family holiday with fantastic entertainment!

I've been going on package holidays for years, so I know the good from the bad. This is bad.
The good points - friendly and helpful staff, a safe resort for kids, the apartments are spacious and clean, the beach is close by.
The bad points - I have never stayed in a hotel before where the owners have done more to scrimp and save every penny at the expense of the holiday maker. The pool area is way too small - all of the sunbeds are right at the side of the pool, so feels cramped and little space for children to play. The tiling around the pool is lethal for kids when wet, incredibly slippy. The pools are absolutely freezing. You have to pay a Euro to watch TV for an hour - and then only a few english channels (both news). I went all inclusive, a good choice given the GBP / Euro exchange rate - but! you almost feel cheated - no drinks or food when the buffet is on, ice creams for the kids are limited to cheap tubs rather than a full choice. The food is as you'd expect, variety is ok and the salad is great. But c'mon guys, instant wip every night?? Couldn't you at least open a few tins of fruit salad or something? Terrible management just to save a few quid. Lots of other 3 star hotels make more of an effort and offer much better variety.
The hotel is badly designed, cramped by the pool, dark and dingy around the pub and games area. The kids club has a limit of 16 places, no where near sufficient. The resort is close, but right under the flight path for the airport. No aircon in the rooms - I went in April, can't imagine what it'd be like in August.
Take my advice - go to somewhere like the Marinda Garden Club in Menorca (also 3 star) and you'll see the difference. Avoid the Broncemar Beach.

Just returned from broncemar with family. Rooms basic and quite adequate. airport transfer only took about 5-10 mins.Pools good and clean, entertainment was good. all inclusive food was good but would get repetitive for 2 weeks. Staff were helpful. Resort ladies toilets were disgusting 1 out of 3 were working for over 400 apartments, tip for ladies use the toilet that the staff use in the main building which is next to the kids club.Too many manky ill stray cats crying like babies in the middle of the night and scenting everywhere, also sitting in the main bar in the evening scavenging for food

I went to these apartments with some of my family 4adults and 4 children aged between 9 and 12. We had a fantastic time. All the staff are so nice, polite and friendly. Especially the entertainers who the kids loved from the very start of our holiday. We were all kept entertained during the day with differeent things going on around the pool. And the shows they put on at night were brilliant. The whole complex is spotless clean and the apartments are beautiful. I would definitly recommend this complex to anyone especially families. We are going back in june for 3 weeks.

Just returned fron a week at the Broncemar Beach.
The apartment was certainly basic with little home comforts.
My first impression was "don't particularly like the look of this". I wasn't wrong.
The reception area was bare, shabby and lacked any sense of atmosphere. The couches appeared uninviting and dated.
After checking in, we were left to locate the apartment ourselves, which proved quite difficult. The lift appeared grubby, and the area we passed through with the pool tables, was dark and dingy.
Our apartment was shabby and definately in need of refurbishment.
Our shower did not work, so obviously whoever cleaned and prepared our apartment, didnt bother to have this fixed in advance of our arrival.
Crockery and cutlery were limited and no tea towel was provided.
The bathroom towels were brown in colour and appeared old. There was no bath mat. There were broken tiles at the side of the bath. That aside, the was no shortage of hot water.
The bar was dirty looking as was the "entertainment lounge". The decor was outdated and the area was generally untidy.
The actual entertainment left a lot to be desired-certainly very amateur.
The pool area was nice apart from a few cracked and broken tiles. The swimming pool was exceptionally cold.
I liked the fact that there was a quiet section which was at the opposite end from the childrens pool, so was suitable for relaxing and reading.
I was overall disappointed with the Broncemar Beach, considering it was not a "cheap holiday".At half the price it would still have been poor value for money.
I would not recommend it to family or friends.

Great Value for Money

We have just returned from a weeks stay at the Broncemar Beach and had a lovely time (March). Some people book a 3 star hotel and expect to stay in a 5 star - we didnt, and was pleasantly surprised. The room was very spacious and spotlessly clean. In fact the whole hotel was very clean and we didnt see one insect throughout our stay. We stayed on the All Inclusive basis which was excellent value for money. The food was always fresh and hot, and varied from day to day. There was not much choice for desset other than blamanche/mousse, but that was very addictive and I certainly had my fair share! The staff were polite and helpful. We have two children ages 3 and 4 and they had a brilliant time - especially the Dizzy and Shades shake down in the evening.
My only one negative point was that the pool was meant to be heated, and it wasnt - it was freezing - and the area around the pool was extremely slippery!
The resort itself is very relaxed and there is lots of playgrounds for the children. We would definately return to the Broncemar Beach again.

When we arrived at the Broncerma we tought we had arrived in hell. We had been delayed by over 3 hours on our outbound journy so didnt arrive at the hotel until 9.45pm. When we asked the hotel manager about getting food as we were all inclusive he told us food has stopped and we needed to go elsewhere and if we had a problem speak to our tour rep!! When we did geta meal the next morning ther was not much variety but what we did get was hot. This was the same with lunch and dinner. All inclusive only ran untill 11pm and you had to buy all drinks after then and on your day of departure your all inclusive stops at 12 lunchtime no matter what time you are due to leave that day. The rooms are not cleaned everyday and when they are I wouldnt sat theyare clean. We spotted a few cockroaches around the hotel grounds but not near the restraurant. The place is great if you have kids as there are lots of ativities the the excellent entertainers put on, even for the adults in the evening.

We booked this family holiday in October 2009 to bring in the new year 2010. we thought we would go all inclusive as the euro not so good. on arrival reception great and welcoming. we then went to find our apartments and two girls says the food was awful, how wrong they where, the food was fantastic and we have a age range from 2, 6,9,10, 12,15 16, 19 and late20s and 30s and 40s and there was enough choice for everyone. the rooms where clean and so where the grounds. the entertainment staff Luke, carrie and stevie where fantastic they work so hard and it showed. they kept every age entertained. They where all great singers, dancers and hope to see them on the X FACTOR.Maria and maxi behind the bar also work hard well done to you all and hope to be back very soon. x
