Great Hols, staff very friendly, didn't go all inclusive so can't comment, but room perfect, clean, maid 4 times in a week, pool area very clean, always somebody tidying up. Entertainment good, would go back again. Hotel only 30% full so plenty of loungers, very surprised considering all the negative reviews. Would go back again, perhaps not in the height of summer but definately out of season. Well done Broncemar!
ps. Pool little chilly initially, but once in great.

Arrived at the Broncemar Beach 22 September 2010 on All Inclusive basis. Noticed many Health & Safety issues before getting to room - uneven walkways where block pavings were badly sunken, drain covers tilted, electic cables covered with black tape. Ground floor room was spacious but windows and shutter handles needed attention. Next day however found cockroaches in bathroom. Reported to reception who said as we were in the Canary Islands we should expect this. After complaining about their attitude they agreed to get the maid to spray the room. We were sent a can of fly/mosquito spray - presumably to see to the job ourselves. Next day more cockroaches. Next day same. Complained to reception that they had done nothing about our complaint. They agreed they had a problem and offered us another room on First Floor. This room smelled of drains in bathroom - bought disinfectant and cleaned all surfaces myself - some rest!!
Around 50% of the low level lighting on the stairs to the higher level rooms near the pool were not working - making the stairways dark at night.
Sun loungers were filthy, never saw anyone using hosepipe to clean around pool area or sunbeds. Sweeping and mopping near pool bar in evidence.
We were told by reps that the childrens nursery/playrooms had just had to be fumigated for cockroaches.
The entertainment and children's staff were excellent but I wouldn't want myself or my children subjected to any diseases which are carried by cockroaches(and there are many). The hotel staff are well aware of the problem but do not seem to take the safety and heath and wellbeing of their clients very seriously. Cleanliness and health and safety issues need to be urgently adressed.

Staff:-
The Spanish girls on reception were lovely. Friendly & professional.
Room:-
Due cockroach infestation were promised (by agency in UK before we left), 2 adjacent rooms on first floor as problem is mainly on ground floor. Were on seperate floors as the hotel couldn't offer adjacent 1st floor rooms! 2 little girls being on seperate floor...not ideal! The room was in a bad state, dirty, plaster coming off the walls, rusty bath, handle came off door, couldn't secure window as fixings falling apart.
Re Kids club:-
The Kids Stage acadamy doesn't exit, person running left the island in July.
Re: bars, restaurant & refreshments etc.
The waiters in the bar wouldn't serve non all-inclusive guests & they didn't carry money so had to leave the hotel & find cafe/bar to eat or have a drink during day & evening. The family tavern & bars inside & outside were all smoking zone & air very smokey. Not family friendly. Hygiene was V bad & we all became ill after 1st meal. Food awful.
Re pool:-
Couldn't get round the pool due to lack of room & sunbeds. All covered in towels by 7.30 am! Pool hygiene bad - 3 kids contracted ear infections during our stay. Very slippy, people falling down constantly.
Location:-
Next to a loud commercial center with Brit & Irish bars etc. The bottle bank for the bars & restaurants in the Main shopping center is located on the corner of the hotel & so we were kept up by sound of smashing glass due to bottles being thrown into bottle bank by staff from local noisey bars throughout the early hours.
Re general atmosphere:-
Most clients were all inc & making most of it, knocking back the booze from the morning onwards.
Great for ~ chip eating chain smokers looking for a p*ss up!
Not great for ~ families.
Conclusion:-
DON'T GO THERE:- If you want a relaxing, family hotel with good food, accommodation & facilites.
This was the first time we've booked with TC. Very dissapointing. It was our first beach holiday in 5 years as our little girl has been in & out of hospital for 4 years with a life threatening illness. Also, hubby has a very stressful job & we were all really looking forward to it. Have come back feeling very dissapointed.
- Advice: I wouldn't return. I was truly awful ~ It was like Jeremy Kyle show meets ramshackled hellhole!!

Third trip to Broncemar Baach and very sad to say we certainly won't be returning. We went all inclusive this time but the food was not good. Loads of repetition, very little variety and no air con working in the restaurant. As such we eat out most of the time apart from a few breakfasts and a couple of lunches. There are some great restaurants nearby so they saved the day. No air-con in the room caused some uncomfortable nights but eventually managed to hire a fan from the hotel once I had crawled up the waiting list. The entertainment team as ever were great fun and the hotel stsff were polite and friendly. Finally, the rooms and most of the grounds need some serious work. The area around the pool is like an ice-rink so be warned. I lost count of the number of people I saw fall over.Such a shame it's gone dowhhill.

As value for money goes, this is an excellent choice for a family holiday.
I went for a 7 night stay with my fiance and our 2 children (7yr old boy & 5 yr old girl) and we all had a great time. There was plenty to do for all with 2 large pools and 1 small childs pool, a play area, games area and a range of day time and night time activities which includes an excellent kids club. I have read some baffling reviews on this site about having to pay to watch tv (tv on holiday?!?! come on now), lack of air con (not advertised in any brochures or web sites), small tubs of ice cream and a lack of food choice on all inclusive etc. As one of the cheapest holidays of this sort available, these are the type of the things that you will need to pay the extra for in truth. Clean hotel, clean rooms, good food and drink, helpful staff and ample ammenities but most important of all excellent value for money.

We had a great time at the Broncemar, Room was spacious and only disappointment was lack of air conditioning, but a fan from reception soon sorted that out. Food was good, plenty of choice as long as you know what pasta and salad looks like, and don't mind pork, beef and fish. If you consider McDonalds as a main meal then stay at home, the phrase "where's the pizza and nuggets" was heard to many times, emabarrassingly by fat brits. Give your kids a chance show them the salad bar before it's to late or stay at home and let the rest of us enjoy our holiday in peace. Kidworld was exceptional, plenty to do and I had no hesitation in trusting my 5 year old daughter with them, although Stacey Jones is definitely far to competetive. All of the Thomas Cook team joined in and were friendly, the Entertainment team definitely earn their money, whether it was a show, bingo, kids disco or just showing guests the way to the market, nothing was done half heartedly. The other great thing was Holly, the Thomas Cook rep, she was on site most of the day and was a great source of information and very helpful. Main thing I would suggest, don't bother getting a transfer to and from the airport, a taxi was only 11 euros. Overall a great family holiday.

The website advertised the apartments as being Air Conditioned BUT to our surprise when we arrived there was no Air-Con when we questioned the receptionist all she did was laugh and shrug it off. Apartment was sticky not cleaned well, we were just glad we had gone for self catering as we couldn't imagine how bad it'd be to go all-inclusive.
DO NOT GO HERE.

We have just returned from an all inclusive fortnight at the Broncemar, and we had a fantastic time. 7 of us went ages ranging from 67-7 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed it. I dont know what some people expect from a 3* hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious, the staff were ALL very polite and helpful. I have never been to a hotel where the staff work so many hours. The food was the same as most all inclusive hotels we have stayed in, put it this way none of us were ever hungry there was something for us all. The entertainment team was fantastic, Stevie Jo the head entertainer was was an absolute star. Our 7 year old daughter had swimming lessons while we were there with Kim and after just 5 lessons she was swimming unaided. Would definately reccommend, Kim was brilliant.
The only thing we didnt like was the cockroaches as we did have a few in our room, but what do you expext they live there. Reception did clean our rooms and gave us the option to move rooms to a higher level.
All things considered we have a fantastic 2 weeks.

after reading mixed reviews of the broncermar beach me and my partner set off for are holiday with sceptical minds of what we may find at the hotel but upon arrival late last saturday we were pleasently surprised to find the broncermar very welcoming , staff very friendly and helpful. Are room was very spacious and clean with basic faculities but no air-con. the hotel is ideally situated for shops, beach, bars and restraunts. The hotel itself boasts 2 well sized pools , expensive but well stocked supermarket , pool bar. As we went in july the hotel was busy but never felt uncomfotable with large number of children in the hotel but these were well catered for with the excellent entertainment staff with different activites each day. The food is very basic mainly comprised of chips and various meats but there is plenty of options for the kids and service is generally good. ARE room was regurly cleaned and towels changed 3 times during the week. The pool area is quite slippy but overall compared to other pool areas in 3 star hotels i would say is above average. mentioned in other reveiws is the presence of cockroaches and cats within the hotel grounds. I can honestly say me and my partner never saw one cockroach during are stay and never heard any of the other english speaking guests speaking about the problem. ther are a few wild cats in the grounds but anybody who has bin to any of the canary island resorts will know this is very common in the resorts. Overall the broncermar was a enjoyable stay a very good 3 star hotel and value for money and i would highly recommend it for families. love mick and Em

We stayed in June 2010 for 10 nights All Inclusive as a family of 4 including two young children.
Ok ill start with the good points, short transfer, big and clean rooms, close to the beach, big pools, not bad entertainment, 1 lovely waiter in the restaurant, food ok, mid day snacks and dinners and lunches improved whilst we were there. Our son was invited on certain days to join the kids club, he went to the chocolate party. Quick check in and check out.
Bad points, food was a bit same old same old, the English are worse than the Germans when it comes to getting a sunbed! If you snooze you lose! Some people would put a towel on a sunbed then go out all day, not enough umbrellas, and most were broken, ok you had to pay 1 Euro for 1 hour of t.v. and the channels were limited but who sits in their room all day on holiday watching t.v.??? 3 cockroaches our whole stay but you get that in spain and the canaries so no shock. Yes there were cats wondering around and they had cat cafe's around the complex set up by a charity that spayed them and looked after them, they never bothered us.
There is a play area but its right at the back of the hotel and at he top of some stairs so not very safe for young children. There is no shade there either so its quite a sun trap. The shop is expensive, especially for nappies (12 Euros) and wipes (5 Euros) even the spanish brands. Nappies expensive in other shops outside of the hotel too, around 9 Euros.
The pool area was a bit cramped, the tiles were hot, slippy when wet and some days very sticky from spilt drinks. The pools were cold but not too bad once your in. Some of the restaurant and bar staff could have done with cheering up a bit! The A.I. drinks were served in plastic cups, if you paid for the drink you got a glass. A.I. finished at 11pm which is a bit cheeky! A lot of the young teenagers got served alcohol and this ended up with the table tennis table in the pool one night. Our room was quite close to the tavern so we got a bit of noise and people walking past late into the night.
It may look like ive witten more bad than good points but its really not THAT bad, we have been to worse places. Overall improvments need to be made, a lick of paint wouldnt go a miss, needs to be made more welcoming and the pool area cleaned more regularly.
We made some lovely friends at the Broncermar and I think they made the holiday more so than the hotel itself.

Booked as a last minute cheapy,we did not know what to expect. We had read reviews on several types of accommodation before booking the Broncemar Beach. What a great place! We were greeted warmly, staff were friendly and helpful even though they were really busy with check ins.Our apartment was large spacious and clean and so well equipped.Kitchen had kettle, toaster and micro all at no extra cost.Pay tv in lounge if you neeed it.Comfy beds and full length mirrors in the bedroom. The bathroom was excellent, bright lighting and a really good shower with constant hot water day and night. Maid service 5 days a week, towels changed every time the room was cleaned and the maid was so cheeful and helpful.Food hot and fresh in the dining room even though we did'nt go until 8.45pm.The biggest thing we noticed about this hotel was the attitude of the staff. They were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble.Although my husband and I travelled on our own this time we will definately be back later in the year with our daughter son in law and grandchildren as they had excellent facilities and entertainment for children.Well done Broncemar Beach and all its staff.Thank you for a great week.
