What an amazing Island. Have just got back from 2 weeks all inclusive and had a fab holiday here. Such a pretty island with a great house reef and lovely sandy beaches all around the island.
The weather was good with a little rain but mainly at night. The accomodation was ideal, very clean and plenty of storage and room. Bathroom is excellent modern and the outside shower is lovely - showering looking up at the palm trees and blue sky, heaven. In my opinion all the rooms were great. Plenty of beach space around the whole island.
The food is fab with plenty of choice. Homemade pasta and sauces, delicious pizza, Maldivian curries, unbelievable salads, cured italian meats, extremely fresh fish, fresh fruit and yummy deserts. All beautifully presented and served every day.
The Maldivian and Srilankan staff are lovely - you are allocated a waiter and table for the duration of your stay. Our waiter Hussain was so sweet, nothing was to much trouble. We were even offered cool rose water flannels and fresh coconut on the beach twice a day - really nice touch. Cocktails are great at the sunset bar sitting on comfy wooden sofas overlooking the beautiful sea watching the sun slowly set - very romantic.
There are lots of different trips to go on and the staff do all they can to make you feel welcome. We went on a couple of different snorkelling trips which were well thought out and the resident Marine Biologist was very keen to show you all kinds of things and happy to answer queries about different fish or corals.
Entertainment team were good fun. Vanlentina a yound italian girl who headed up the team was so much fun. You can join in the Casino night, Karoke or crab race if you want to but there is no obligation if you prefer an early night.
The highlight of our trip was going on a Whale Shark excursion - the largest fish in the world which can be up to 8 metres long. We snorkelled with three of these sharks - so amazing and graceful it was fantastic.
Good mix of guests - Italian, German, French, and Austrian. Everyone very friendly.
We would highly recommend this island. If we had to criticise anything it would be that the main barman can be a little moody and that dinner is a little late at 8.30 - Spa really nice, but not cheap - none of these things were a big issue.

Jan 2007, Mr CJ Harris

We spent 22 days on this beautiful Paradise Island in September and October 2002 for our Honeymoon.
The Weather was fantastic, and even the 4 days of Monsoon rain in the middle it was a great experience, and a break from the equatorial heat.
On the days when the resort arranged its weekly day trip to a local desert island, we stayed on Thudufushi as we would be the only guests left on the whole island.
Each time we would wave goodbye to the 40 plus guests crammed onto the dive boat, as we sat on the pure white sands outside our beach house.
The food is outstanding, and each day has a huge selection.
The Staff are all fantastic, spend time to get to know the important people such as your room boy, your waiter and the barman, as each will go that extra mile for you and the barman will have your favourite drink ready as you walk up to the bar.
The Thudufushi cocktail is legend! And lethal :o)
Our only gripe was with the 3 Italian resort animators (butlins red coats) Who we named the mosquitoes, as they pestered us to join in with their games and trips each day and evening, but after the first week they got the message that it was our honeymoon, and that we came to the Maldives to be in our own company.
The resort only had about 30 to 50 people staying when we were there, so the beach, bar was peaceful, taking tea and sandwiches in the mid morning from the small beach bar, that’s if we missed breakfast!
A large late lunch and a hearty evening dinner round of by coffee and drinks on the deck over the ocean.
The Sea really is a thousand shades of blue, the multicoloured fish nibbling at your feet. We saw a School of dolphins, manta ray, grey reef shark and the islands pet nurse shark that they tempt with fish from the back of the dive boat.
Thudufushi is paradise...may it never change. We will be back soon.
Tip: Travel first class if you can, as the long journey for us was a pleasure, but back in economy it was reported to be like a cattle lorry, with everyone standing in the isles as the seat space/leg room on this 12 hour flight was horrible. Their faces said it all!
Also tip the waiter, room boy, towel boy and bar staff well, as they will treat you like royalty.

This was the perfect honeymoon...

Aug 2004, Mrs T Robson

This was the perfect honeymoon destination.
Only 47 bungalows on the island and very peaceful which was much needed after the wedding.
The staff were very welcoming and food was excellent. The rooms were beautiful, with the room boy folding you sheets in different ways on your return to the room after dinner. They were very attentive to your needs and the fridge was stocked daily with soft drinks and beer.
You could walk round the island within 25mins and the sea was just like the pictures in the brochure.
There were plenty of boat trips, I would recommend the fishing trip and the sea plane from the airport to your island.
