Stayed here whilst on business in...
6 / 10
Dec 2007, Mr G Mitchell

Stayed here whilst on business in Yate, just a short drive in the morning was all I was looking for. So for this reason alone I stayed here it is also convenient for the M32 M4 interchange only 5 mins drive away if you don’t get hit in the morning traffic heading toward the motorway.
The hotel itself is modern clean and I am guessing not so old. Room was comfy and clean enough. So no downsides there.
The restaurant is the Beefeater on site located right next door this provides cheap and cheerful meals and has a decent range of beers too. The staff were helpful and polite enough so again no complaints. There is plenty of onsite car parking but be aware that this can fill when the Beefeater is busy.
There is only a 10 minute walk away a retail park which has a Sainsbury find this and you find the retail park. Here you can find an alternative to eat if you prefer a nice Italian style meal.
Apart from this I don’t think or didn’t notice anything else in the area certainly not within walking distance although a bus ride or taxi ride you can find your way into Bristol or head north Yate and Chipping Sodbury.
Would I use this hotel again yes if I was only away the one night any longer and I would be probably looking for more dining options within walking distance although I was told a 5 minute taxi ride and I could find Indian and Chinese alternatives.

The Travel Inn is convenient for...
7 / 10
Jan 2006, Ms J Butler

The Travel Inn is convenient for those using M32 motorway link - however the other Premier Travel Inn sites may be more convenient for exploring Bristol City itself.
The room was very clean, very quiet (no road noise) and comfortable with modern furnishings. Reception kindly provided additional coffee and milk sachets for the room (initial supply wouldn't have seen us through til morning!).
There is a Beefeater bar and restaurant on site.
Bristol itself is well worth exploring. There are many free museums such as the Industrial Museum and the Georgian house well worth a visit and reminding us of Bristol's trading past with moving accounts of the slavery trade. If your feet are tired you can hop on a ferry to visit other sites or just to view the architecture and sites around the harbour side.
For those needing retail therapy there is Broadmeads shopping centre in the heart of the city and Cribbs Causeway shopping mall at Filton.
