We have been visiting this hotel twice a year for over 20 years you might ask why? the reason is we love it, it’s not noisy and loud it’s on a beautiful beach which is kept very clean with sun beds either round the pool or on the private beach looking out at sea, the picturesque harbour and Cape Greco. If you like walking or jogging there are plenty of paths following the coastline, with caves and cool clear water and plenty of water sports available.

The hotel has four areas to eat within it’s gardens catering for most peoples needs, including The Fisherman’s hut which is very popular and reasonably priced if you want a salad or a proper fish meal, there’s a beautiful dinning room inside for your evening meal, a cocktail/piano bar as well as a large lounge area. Or you can stroll along to one of the many restaurants you’ll find within close walking distance to the hotel. Breakfast is first class with a huge choice to choose from continental to old english the choice is yours.

The hotel is established and family owned rather than belonging to a huge chain, and each time we return it’s nice to see all the new things they are doing to make the clients stay at the hotel more enjoyable, refurbishing bedrooms, fitting new lift’s, a new beach bar are just a some of the improvements that have taken place in a few years, this to me shows a commitment to the client, they are not sitting back but are investing in the hotel. Staff are friendly and helpful many have been with the hotel for years and the rooms are always cleaned to a high standard.

There is also a mini coach that runs at regular intervals between the three Grecian Hotels should you wish to visit them: The Grecian Sands the Grecian Park.

This is the fourth year we have been to Grecian Bay Hotel. Everything about this hotel is first class. The rooms are lovely, the maids come every day and clean them, towels are changed daily.

Your sun bed is reserved for you for the duration of your stay either on their own part of the beach or at the poolside and you get free towels for your sun bed each day.

There is an indoor pool, sauna and gym, hairdressers and shop.

There are three restaurants you can eat at during the day. Food is excellent and the staff are very friendly. We went half board but you can go B&B as there are numerous restaurants nearby. If you go half board you can have your meal at lunch time and then eat out at night if you wish.

There is no entertainment at night they just have theme nights outside at the pool. The centre of the town is about 1km away but there are shops/restaurants etc all the way to the centre.

People come back year after year as there is no where comes close to the facilities this hotel has. We have already booked for next year.

The location and setting of the hotel is excellent, that's about it!

The staff at the hotel are quite ignorant and unhelpful. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told to go to the beach hut and book our sunbeds either around the pool or on the beach for the duration of our holiday, the ones allocated belong to you for the full week.

We were told that there were no beds available at all for us until 9th July, we were leaving on 11th and arrived on 4th. We had to wait until after 10.30 every morning to see if other people didn't take their beds, after which time anybody can use them.

The pool attendant was extremely rude and seemed to take a disliking to us and wouldn't help, he practically rolled one of us off a sunbed one of the days because he wanted it for his 'friends'.

The waitress service is also unacceptable for a five star hotel, their t-shirts say 'call me for a drink', but it is rare that one passes, they seem to hide all day and when you do manage to get one of them to get drinks, you have practically dehydrated by the time it comes.

The pool snack bar might as well not be there, we went to order some food and were completely ignored for more than 20 minutes. When they serve you, they don't speak to you and leave you standing there while your food is wrapped up, out of your reach. You have to ask them to pass it to you. When we asked a waiter if we could order some food, he went to get a note pad and never came back! We didnt expect this kind of service for the price that we paid.

The rooms were actually nice but we overlooked some boilers and at about half 4 in the morning, the bin men come and smash glass bottles and make as much noise as they possibly can. The drinks are really expensive, its about £2.50 for a small glass of coke!

We love Ayia Napa and we stayed at the Adams Beach Hotel last year, we wish we had booked to stay there again this year. The whole sunbed situation is a joke, there are nowhere near enough beds for the amount of guests and so therefore shouldn't be on a reserve basis. We wouldn't recommend this hotel for the money that you will pay.
