Lovely hotel close to the busy town
from lesli36
Just returned from this lovely three star hotel. Pool & bar area great. Rooms - good size, clean , lots of hot water, coffee making facilities, hair dryer, TV and english plugs. Breakfast - cereals, toast, cakes, sausages, eggs, bacon ,beans as much as you can eat. Dinner varies each night on a theme - all were great value - piping hot and very friendly service. The satff cant do enough for you and when tipped are very courteous. Reception - helpful - phoning taxis, finding prices etc. Cross the road to a small beach with sunbeds 2.50 euros. Small water sports cabin - was closed as we went 1 st week in April so unsure what on offer. There are a few bars around the hotel and within a few minutes walk so there is no need to walk into the main Ayia Napia town. The walk into town is flat and there are lots of shops and bars and a fairground - takes about 10 -15 mins but pleasant. Taxi home 7 euros. Only ventured on one day out to the water world water park - 30 euros each - a bit pricey but it was a good day out and there is a go kart course next to it as well. Cyprus is very hot - it got to 25 degrees in April . Our stay was lovely because of the hotel, the people and the resort .
Could Do Better

Arrived in middle of the night to be given a basement room when i had booked a superior sea side view, Was moved to a new room the next morning. The staff are all friendly and the cleanliness is top drawer as is the very well maintained pool. Enjoyed the buffet dinners in the evening by the pool with a different themed meal each night. No entertainment and is a very quiet hotel generally and suits lovers, senior citizens and those trying to get peace and quiet, on either side there are large hotels with entertainment each night and you are welcome to go and spend the evening in these other hotels. The sandy beach is 50 metres but at this time of year we had a very hot and humid time with record temperatures. But we enjoyed this hotel which only needs an entertainment policy of some kind to make ot very good value indeed

Idealy located hotel
from tigi_2003
Hi 8 of us stayed at this hotel from 29th June 2008 to 9th July 2008. (4 couples…aged between 18 and 26) HOTEL The hotel it's self is clean...it's cleaned every day between half 8 and 2, (unless you asked not to be disturbed) they also changed towels and etc every day. Within our room with 2 adults sharing we had 2 single beds pushed together, drawers, TV, mini bar, chair, side units, wardrobe, and bench, bathroom with shower, toilet, bath, and sink. Their is no entertainment on at night....but who needs entertainment when it’s a 10 min walk to ayia Napa :) The hotel at the side of this hotel have entertainment on so if you fancy a quiet night you could always sit on balcony and listen and watch their cabaret acts (they are not the greatest tho. lol) The balconies are also very small, but didn’t bother us as we were hardly in the room itself. The meals are nice, they have themed evenings Indian, Cyprus, BBQ, international, Italian, etc so have different food on all the time, Its a buffet style tea and breakfast so you just help yourself, there wasn’t a big queue for foods but on 2 nights we had to wait to be seated because they only had about 3 tables seating 8 people, but this wasn’t a problem as we had drinks whilst waiting. Breakfast usually consisted of cereal, toast, fried eggs or omelet, beans, sausages (spicy), fruit, Danish pastries etc Food is half 8 till 10am for breky and half 7 till 9pm for tea. Tea is next to pool so that was nice. Drinks in the hotel are about 4/5 euros, but they do a happy hour from half 9 so a little cheaper then at 2.50 euros. Their is air conditioning in the rooms which is nice but that only comes on when your in the room so takes a while to kick in....we rigged up the key so it was on all day....ooops...it can be done tho :)...shhhhh...lol. Also bewared you if you want a fridge/ mini bar you have to pay 17 euros worth of drink to get it, but once you pay this you have mini bar/ fridge in your room for duration of stay. Pool area is nice and clean, and of sun loungers available. Pool is not massive but is a decent sized swimming pool which is cleaned every night. LOCATION The good point is that you step out of the hotel and are a few steps away from sandy bay...yeah. (Not the best beach but its lovely...has every thing you need plus water sports) The hotel has everything you need, It is ideally located because it's not too close to the town center so is quiet, also is in walking distance to Nissi bay, sandy bay and ayia Napa town centre. The Hotel is just set back off a main road where their are a few cabaret pubs and restaurants.....but if you walk up the road about 10/15 min you'll reach ayia Napa town centre, there are loads of taxis tho that pull over to give you a lift for 7 euros. The cabaret pubs...orange groves etc usually have acts on which are a good night if you don’t fancy town centre one night. Nissi Beach is about 5/10 min walk from the hotel along a pathed walkway along the beach...which is a gorgeous beech with lots of water sports going on. Also got to mention chandler and friends pub just in front of the hotel...GREAT pub owned by John, him and his staff are great. He took us out on a few nights and got into clubs free etc...Great bloke. Always willing to help and the staff are helpful...make sure you get your free watermelon...lol. Food is great their and great prices. Make sure you go! From the hotel you can also book quads etc which is a great day out, they come and collect you and have quads or buggies for 24 hours
Nice quiet hotel close to a lovely beach
from MickandGaynor
My wife and I are both mid forties, we stayed a weeks half board. we stayed Oct 10-17th weather was lovely full sun 9am-5pm. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a basic breads and cereals plus beans and sausage. Dinner was outstanding, the evening restaurant is al fresco next to the pool and the very quiet road next to the beach. The menu was changed every night and was buffet style. We enjoyed a greek night BBQ night, indian night plus others all food was tastey and hot. The sunbeds come with plastic covered (very comfortable) soft covers. There are some nice cane chairs outside under cover which provide a nice area to sit and drink... A local bus service runs nearby (two min walk) to agia nappa and figtree bay (80 cents each way) would we go again....definately but the chaos at Larnaca airport was a downer.
Decent Hotel

We stayed at this hotel in July 07 for 2 weeks. Originally we were booked into the nissiana but some sort of `contractual difficulties` between libra holidays and the hotel meant we had to choose another hotel about 4 weeks before we were due to leave. The rooms were clean and tidy and the air conditioning worked to keep the temp down, it was in the 40`s outside. No real complaints about the room although it wasnt the most luxurious of accommodation. The pool area again was clean and tidy although the prices for drinks at the pool bar were on the high side. 1.5 cyp pounds for a small bottloe of water, a large one at the nearby supermarket was 0.5 cyp pounds. Some of the reviews on here are non to complementary about the food but i have to say we quite enjoyed it. There wasnt a great choice on any given night but what was there was tasty. It was a different theme every night. Off the top of my head i think there was chinese, bbq, mexican, carvery, international, cypriot and italian. As far as entertainment goes, there wasnt any ! Think i saw the odd disco going on the night time when i was going out but to be fair we were heading into town every night anyway so werent really planning on staying in the hotel. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk into the main bar area of ayia napa. We tended to walk down and get a taxi for 5 pounds back. All in all, had an excellent holiday. The hotel was fairly basic but clean with staff we found to be friendly
OK but hot
from 2Danish
All in all an okay hotel, but the Sandy Bay Beach disapointed a little. The white sand was brown and a lot of plastic bags and other stuff was floating around in the wather. We booked a hotel with aircondition (we scandinavians like it cool) but the hotel turned it of every afternoon. The hottest time of the day - not very cool. When asked to turn it on, we should talk to the manager, but he wasn't there - Very agravating in the afternoon heat !!! The rooms were nice and clean. Free wireless internet connection in the reception. Food so and so, but the town night life was all it promised and more.
relaxing holiday

Got married in Aiya Napa in 2001and stayed at the anonymous for the two weeks. Right from the start the hotel made us most welcome and provided all the little touches that made it a great time. Since then have returned to Aiya Napa and the anonymous every year simply because the staff from the management down to the housekeepers go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I have only one critisism and that the lack of entertainment on a night. Overall ecellent clean and friendly staff, idealy situated if you want a fairly quiet holiday with just a 20 minute stroll if you dont.

Just got back from ayia napa had an amazin time there, this hotel is very basic however is very clean. We were very shocked at how quiet the hotel was, there was no entertainment apart from a disco with about 2 people. This was probably because the hotel was far out from the resort centre. A plus point of it being quiet was u didnt have to fight for sun loungers by the pool!! I wasnt impressed with the food, there are themed nights and if u dont like chinese, or meat etc then there isnt any other choice. The staff at the hotel are all extremely friendly, all in all had an excellent time but would choose a more lively hotel next time!!
It really was Home from Home

We said we would never go back to the same country twice as we wanted to travel the world. when we stayed at the "omni" we had to book it again the following year. The hotel was great, The staff were fantastic and really made you feel at home. You wasn't just a number, you was treated with respect. We are getting married on the 2nd july 2005 and have picked the Anonymous Beach Hotel for our honeymoon as we know we will have a great time and we know what to expect. this should be classed as a 5 star hotel and not a 3 star!!!
