Fantastic Holiday and Wedding at the Adams Beach
from beachbum1980
Just back from 3 weeks at the Adams Beach in Nissi Bay / Ayia Napa, was a bit worried after some poor reviews on here but i can honestly say it is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. All 5 stars well deserved...staff very efficent and friendly, hotel cleaned constantly, rooms clean and well equiped, amazing pool area and well located for the gorgeous nissi beach (on your door step) or a very easy and cheap taxi ride into the main area of ayia napa. We also got married at the hotel and we thought that the Thomas Cook Wedding co-ordinator was fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and her knowledge, experience and calm attitude made us feel relaxed and confident that it would all run smoothly - and it did - it was perfect. The town hall paperwork was easy and quick, my flowers were delivered to my room and the florist met all of the men in the bar to help them with their button holes, the Thomas Cook photographer and DVD guy were funny, friendly and very professional - the pics and DVD well worth the money. Would recommend a holiday, honeymoon, wedding, anniversary, birthday (it was my husbands birthday while we were there and the hotel staff put a cake and a bottle of champagne in our room as a suprise). Go for an amazing holiday or to celebrate something special - its great!
Wedding at Adams Beach
from emtat
I felt I had to write this review after reading what people had put about Adams Beach, I was confused to say the least before we went. I booked through Olympic Holidays and had my wedding in the gardens there as well. First and foremost I have to start by commenting on the rooms, we booked Olympic Gold and had a room with an excellent view of the sea and pool (room 240). As a wedding couple we were due an upgrade but the hotel was full and one wasn't available. I have to say if you book this hotel I would really recommend upgrading your room, ours were liveable but not what I would expect from a 5* hotel. My nanna and grandad were in room 104 and didn't even have a balcony. I did hear other people complaining about the rooms. The hotel itself and facilities were fantastic, the pool is amazing and the slides were good fun too. The drinks and food are expensive I had half of carling which worked out about £2.40 soon went on to Keo!!! there are plenty of bars about 5 mins walk to get lunch and drinks. We were half board and the breakfasts were lovely with every thing you could think of there. If we were to go back I would only go Bed & Breakfast, the evening meals were ok but there was such a miss mash of things I never really felt as though I had had a full dinner. If you are getting married there as we did, I decided I didn't like the menu for the reception and waited until I arrived before booking somewhere else. There is a restaurant next door to the hotel called Dionne's and this is fantastic we went to try it out for my dad's bday and then spoke to the owner who arranged our wedding meal decorated the tables and gave us a free bottle of champagne, plus there are kids swings and slides on the grass area and arcade games and a pool table for the older ones. We paid £14cyp per head cheapest one in the hotel £20cyp. Everyone really enjoyed it. I have to say getting your hair done for the wedding there is a bit of a con, they charged me £35cyp and my bridesmaid £20cyp which was about £70 gbp to do a put up, which is quite expensive but you don't have a choice really. It did look really nice though. On another note if you need a hospital get good insurance and the Napa Olympic is fantastic as we found out when my 80 year old nanna fell down a step and broke her femur the night before the wedding!!!!! Taxi into Ayia Napa town is £4cyp and there are so many restaurants there which are really cheap I saw a 3 course meal advertised for £8cyp most of the restaurants are around the same price.
Loved the Beach the Swimming pool, Loved Everything
from THOMOPOL
We have booked through Thomson Holidays a Superior room. Upon arrival, we were given a Kids Suite, a queen bedded room with a separate room with double decker beds for children. It was perfect. Room was very clean and everything was in working order. We went to the swimming pool. It was very clean. Bar has good service and good selection of drinks. Bit expensive however. Room service is very good. Selection of food and value for money. Next day woke up at 07:00 and went to the beach opposite. The hotels staff were cleaning the swimming pool inside outside. Very clean. The breakfast. Good selection of food and a lot. Afterwards went for a hot stone massage. 5 A. It's a mast. Very very relaxing. Dinner was also perfect. Outside in the middle of the hotel's garden had a buffet dinner. Everything was perfect. Will visit again. Surely
LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We got married here 2 years ago, and it was fantastic. We went back again last year, and going back in 13 weeks time, and we can,t wait.We have a 3 year old and they cater really well for the children. It's just a great place to go, the food is great, the staff are lovely and the hotel just has a lovely feel to it. It's in a perfect location with nissi bay right outside the hotel, and the nightlife of Ayia Napa just 5 minutes in a taxi. The Hotel isn't cheap, but it's worth every penny. We shall go back every year because we know it has everything we want. WE LOVE IT!!!!!!!!one thing is if you book half board, don't do it with the travel agents, because you can actually book evening meals in the hotel, and if you book a week or more of meals they give you discount, and it works out cheaper than the travel agents.
mr and mrs blakemore..loved it but ?????5 star

just returned from a two week holiday at adams with my partner(now husband) and 2 children age 1 and 10...absolutely loved it...free upgrade on arrival!! we had origionally planned to get married their in the chapel but on arrival seeing how close it was to the water slides, it was a no no!!!! also i didnt fancy walkng through the pool area with my lovely wedding dress on...(for anyone planning to get married here..chapel is a no go!!). Luckily enough we had booked our wedding seperate through a english/cypriot wedding service called ' ahprodites wedding service'...absoluetly fantastic..recommend them to anyone. We had our first meeting with them on our second day..I explained to them that i did not want to get married in the chapel as it was too near the slides and that i didntg want ot walk through the pool area to get to it....sandra(wedding co-ordinator) sorted it out for us and changed it to ayia napa monastry...wow it was amazing. We then went on to have our champgne reception and evening meal in the garden of eden in macronissos...wowwwwww again absolutely fantastic..if it wasnt for ahprodties wedding service our wedding would have not been as special as it was. I think adams beach is easily a four star hotel, 5 star in some parts....the piano bar and resturante. We stayed at the back off the hotel in the queens suite were the surroundings are in need of refurbishment. The enteratinment wasnt that good either, they had 2 shows on prior to us leaving. The pool area was fab for my 10 year old son he loved it in the lazy river and on the slides...I feell that the hotel is very expensive(both to get to and to stay in) and for the price we payed you could get better 5 star quality hotel. I am really glad that i didnt get married here as their are around 3-4 weddings a day, especially in the gardens..one couple getting married whilst the other party waiting in reception for theirs!!!!!! very busy..they would also have their reception either in the outdoor resturante with all the public sunbathing or eating in their swimsuites...not my cup of tea or even in the dining hall at night..again with other holiday makers!!!! overall i really enjoyed my 2 week holiday in cyprus, i will be planning on returning at some point to celebrate our anniversary..most probably go to the garden of eden!!!!
Fabulous!!!

We have just returned from our 2 weeks at the Adams Beach Hotel, and we will definately be going back! We had a family room with a doublebed, two single beds, and a campbed as we took our 3 children. The room was spacious and very clean, and equipped with tv and minibar, dining table with 2 chairs, huge wardrobe (more than enough storage space for the 5 of us), desk/dressing table, and 2 bedside tables with drawers. There was also an ensuite bathroom with double sink, 2 showers (1 in cubicle and 1 in the bath) and toilet. There were white room towels and brown beach towels provided, and the maid came in everyday to make up the beds, and clean the room. There was also a lovely balcony with another table and chairs, and we had a lovely view of the gardens and sea. The room also had a complimentary bowl of fruit and shampoo, soap etc. The hotel itself is lovely, the grounds are beautiful and very well kept, and there are 5 pools along with a lovely lazy river which is great for sunbathing with an inflatable!! The pools and grounds were kept very clean and tidy, and the staff were always very polite and friendly. There is a swim up bar, exellent for cocktails whilst watching the children swim, and also waitresses come round often to fetch you drinks. Everything in the hotel is billed to your room so you dont have to carry any cash, you just sign each receipt which we found really helpful. There is a limit of 200 cp, and you can pay your bill whenever (we settled everyday!!) You can also keep an eye on what you are spending on your room tv via the bill button. There are also 2 slides for the children and adults alike!!, and the staff keep the children entertained with water polo during the day. We went on bed and breakfast which is buffet style and the selection is great with cereal, yogurt, fruit, toast, bread, pastries, cold meat and cheese, full english, and lots more. We were shown to a table each morning and brought a pot of coffee, and there was also fruit juices, variety of teas, and water. The facilities at the hotel ae exellent, there is an indoor pool, internet computers and an xbox in the lobby (both 50 cents per 10 minutes), a games room with arcade games and pool table, a very well equipped gym, and you can also book beauty treatments and excursions at reception. Room service runs 24 hours a day, and the food is lovely. The staff are excellent, I cannot praise them enough. We had to visit the dentist for my Daughter, and reception booked the appointment and arranged for our taxi, they even asked how she was when we returned!! The hotel also has a private beach which is lovely, there is a ladder going into the water at the side next to a lovely sandy are which is great for paddling. I would also highly reccomend buying a snorkel, we had hours of fun watching the fish!! Nissi beach is right next to the hotel, and is fantastic with lots of bars sunbeds and watersports. We went out most nights so didnt see the hotel entertainment everyday, but would highly reccomend the magician on Saturdays nights. He is both funny and talented and left us amazed! The kiddie disco is also good for the little ones, teaching them dance oves and playing games, our children loved it. The restaurants near the hotel are nice, we tried the Koutouki Tavern and Oddyus Karoke Bar and enjoyed our meals at both. By far our favourite though was the Wild West Grillhouse which has food to die for, and excellent service. They have 2 play areas for the children and are very family friendly, ask for Nicos and tell him Dawn & Mark from Leicester say hi!! We went into Napa a few times and also to the harbour, it costs about 4 cp by taxi, and about 45 minutes to walk it (not advisable in the heat of the day)There are lots of shops and bars/cafes, and a funfair. We also saw a mini golf and gokart track, but didnt get chance to go. There is also a macdonalds and pizza hut lol!! We found food and drink prizes to be about the same as you would pay in the UK. All in all we had a fantastic holiday, and would highly reccomend Adams Beach Hotel to everyone. I have included a few photos, but am more than happy to email more to anyone interested.
WOW!! What a holiday.....
from sjharris1984
My partner had been given vouchers from work and we needed a break so we decided to use them at Thomas Cook....a friend of mine told us about a fantastic hotel in Cyprus that she stayed in a few years ago. After reading some reviews (quite mixed to be honest), we decided to give it a try. So, on 9 May, we departed from Cardiff without a problem, landed in Larnaca about 4.5 hours later. As soon as we touched down, it was raining, UNBELIEVABLE, I was so disappointed....the drive to the hotel was a bit disappointing, I thought Larnaca looked a bit run down....anyway, we pull up outside the hotel, get off the bus, I wander into reception, while my bloke gets the bags..5 seconds later he's behind me saying that the porter took them off him!! WHAT SERVICE!!! Sorry, but we're not used to this, fantastic! We check in, (we didn't know until we checked in that the hotel automatically sets up a £200 credit limit on your room so you don't have to carry any cash around with you at all) and are handed our room key - again the porter wouldn't let us take the bags to our room, so very impressed with this situation, we take the lift up to the 4th floor. We were walking quite a bit along the corridor until we got to our room, we weren't happy about it until we opened the doors onto our balcony...OH MY GOD, what a view!! We were right on the corner of the hotel and could see everything, all of Nissi Beach, the little island, and the hotel's beach and pools, it was amazing. The next thing we do is venture down to the bar (Valentine Piano Bar) and order some cocktails, delicious! Next morning, it's the meet and greet with the tour rep, who is fantastic...we sign up for the Bar Crawl in Aiya Napa with the reps and have the best night ever....we paid £6CYP each, got free entry to every club and pub, and a free drink at every one too. We also went to Nikita's for a Mese, which cost us around £8CYP each, for 18 courses! I would recommend that to anyone. I've read some reviews saying that the rooms were a bit on the small side, we had a double room, it suited us....we're taking our daughter next time though so we'll probably upgrade (we had a wander around on the last day while the cleaners were about, and had a nose in some of the bigger rooms, I was instantly jealous but you get what you pay for I suppose). I would definitely rate this hotel as a 5 star, the service is impeccable, the staff are SO friendly, there's so much to do at this hotel, beauty salon, shops, 7 pools, slides, the beach, kiddies club etc. Another thing is, the cleaners never stop, they're always about making sure that everything is spotless. We spent most of our time at the Valentine's Piano Bar, and both the day and night shift are great, they actually take the time to talk to you, and they're always giving out free nibbles and chocolates with your drinks. It IS expensive to eat and drink in this hotel, but it IS a 5 star so you have to expect it. The food is out of this world, it's served buffet style, and there's always plenty of it.....there are a lot of weddings that take place at this hotel, but unlike others, we didn't feel overpowered by it, we felt sorry for them because it must be a bit impersonal sharing your big day with not one but about 4 other brides. We're in the process of planning our big day and want it to be just us in the limelight. I don't think I can say anything else about this hotel other than that I want to be back there now....we're currently trying to book to take our little girl in September, but waiting for the prices to drop again!!! If you're going here soon, enjoy!!!!
Adams Beach Hotel - One Of The Best!
from holidaylover67
We spent a fortnight at the Adams Beach Hotel from the 6th-20 May 2007-What an experience-IT WAS GREAT.From the moment you walk through the doors your holiday begins. The big lobby, chandelier all stand out at you.The staff are there to take your bags straight toy our room.We had a family room with a garden view but we still saw the sea, the room was great and BIG.Our room was cleaned every day by very friendly staff and our sheets were changed every other day!The breakfast was 8 out of 10, there was the traditional fry-up,continental,fresh fruit etc but no egg or omlette chef as in the Carribbean-but great.Staff are fantastic in all the restaurants especially the fish restaurant next to the pool and Vitaminos pool bar,I have never seen a pool like it -GREAT for the kids, about 1m 20 at its deepest, the pool goes on and on all around the outside, then there is the adult pool at 1m 40 deep. The Beach is great and PRIVATE.,plenty of sunbeds plus you get your own towels, there is always staff checking for people you are noy staying there. The evening restaurant was out of this world, food like i have never seen in my life, it was everywhere, don't forget to pack a shirt and trousers or you won't get in!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Anyway the only way to experience this fantastic hotel is to visit the hotel, you won't be dissapointed. If you want that extra luxury book in to either the queen suites, ambassador suite or for that extra luxury book in to the Presidential suite on the 4th floor.ENJOY IT!!!
Just a brill place

This was our second trip here and although there is on - going work on the third floor it didn't really hinder the holiday too much. All facilities were fab and hotel very good, with excellent breakfasts and you are spoilt for choice. We love the setting and found the hotel to be just as we remembered. This is a good hotel with good facilities but the prices are a bit high and therefore a walk out in the evening is advised to keep costs down. p.s We enjoyed the weddings and this did not detract from the holiday, it was nice to be somewhere where everyone was happy and enjoying themselves. IF YOU GO ENJOY, WE WILL BE BOOKING AGAIN FOR NEXT YEAR!!!
Beautiful Hotel!
from CarlyTraynor
This is an amazing hotel! I would recommend it to anyone! We stayed here for a week in September 2006 and just didn’t want to go home! The staff are very friendly, the hotel is super clean and spacious, there is air conditioning almost everywhere you go - which is important as it gets very hot!!! - the grounds are just beautiful, it offers plenty of beauty treatments and spa like facilities, it also has an indoor pool and is a ten second walk to an amazing beach which offers a huge variety of water sports and somewhere to have a drink, eat and sunbathe. The thing I feel I really have to give the hotel credit for, was the way that the grounds were kept. The grounds - where you spend most of your time - had everything, a huge pool, with a lazy river, swim up bar, fountains, Jacuzzi and swimming areas, the gardens were pretty and had covered areas for those who don’t like 100% sun. There are toilets there also and showering areas so you don’t have to trail back to your hotel room. The beach was also great it had shallow water ideal for the young children to paddle in. There were plentiful sunloungers and the hotel supplies you with big beach towels. The thing that really took our breath away was the view from our hotel room. We had originally booked a standard room with garden views and requested if possible could we have a sea view - the Adams Beach obviously had some sea view rooms available and upgraded us without even having to ask - free of charge. The hotel is a reasonable walk away from the centre of Aiya Napa, aprox 30 mins, this is a little far though in the heat of the day to walk, but the bus routes towards town are right outside of the hotel. There is also plenty of bars and restaurants within five minutes of the hotel as well as shops. There is a deli just outside of the Adams Beach which sells all of the international newspapers and magazines - as well as water, alcohol and snack like food. The only thing about the hotel that was slightly disappointing is that its 5* status was reflected in the prices. The swim up bar for example charged aprox £4 (English pounds) for cocktails, £1.50 (EP) for the soft drinks and £3 (EP) for the beer. The food was also quite expensive aprox £15 per person for a meal on the night and £5 per person for snack food through the day. A few people we spoke to complained about the rooms being a bit run down - we didn’t find this, but we had heard from some other guests that the hotel rooms were being refurbished November 2006 - so I would expect this has improved. All in all though, this was a really great hotel and well worth the money we paid - it is quite expensive considering it is so far out of the main town - but the beaches and the facilities it has to offer more than compensated for this.
