My husband and i 30 & 29 have just returned from 2 weeks at Adams Beach and wish we were still there, the hotel itself is absolutly fantastic def 5 star and the pool and slides are fab except its salt water, our room was lovely and very spacious and the air con was very cool a mega + as it was very hot, maid service every day, had a lovely view of the pools and the sea , cant fault the rooms at all. The night time entertainment is good to, the staff were very helpful as well always smiling and spoke very good English in fact everyone in Cyprus does . We only stayed b&b and the food was lovely like a banquet , too much to chose from, the evening meals are about 30 euros too expensive for us. We got married at the Olympic Lagoon which was very nice but got stumped with a 350 euro bill the night before wedding as we were not staying there and also the manager was threatened to cancel our wedding just because i was 5 minutes late which we were very discussted about as my husband had just paided him as well. But the gazebo in which you get married in is lovely, its near the pool (but you don't walk through it) but it gives you a buzz all those people seeing you in you dress etc. We had our meal at the Garden Inn which is in Nissi and the Manager will do anything to help you and his bar next door is cheap and great fun with the karaoke. A lot of the resteraunts do 3 course meals for around 12 euros which are very nice, we went into Aiya napa which is lovely day and night if you stay on the main road but if you go up a street where the pubs and clubs are they are very busy with mainly young people. We went to Protaras a few times which is really nice only 1.50 euro on the bus for a round trip. The only fault i can pick with this holiday was the fact that we were on a plane with 90% black people (not rasist at all) which were VERY roudy and we felt a little intimmidated by them and then one of them said there was a bomb on the plane , so we were detained in the airport for 4 hours . And to top it off all you saw all day going up and down the main road were them on the buggies and mopeds you can hire shouting an tooting there horns . They seem to take over the place for about 4 weeks of the summer and the locals hate it. We are definitly going to go back to Adams Beach for an anniversary as it was great.

When my husband and i were looking for a place to be married we searched everywhere in aberdeen and could not find anywhere we thought was perfect for our big day. It wasnt til we were on a holiday with friends that we went to nissi beach and seen adams beach we had looked at it in brochures and thought we would see if the hotel actually looked anything like the pictures and to our astonishment it looked even better than we could imagine. As soon as i walked through the door into the reception area my jaw dropped and i knew this was where i wanted to be married, so while there we asked the friendly reception staff if we could speak to someone about getting married in the hotel. Our wedding co-ordinator was very helpful and could not do anymore to help us prepare for our big day. The hotel manager took time out of his day to talk to us about our wedding and to make sure everything would be perfect on the day. And that he did, it could not have went any better. The staff were excellent and very accomodating. The hotel food was very good and the three course meal we had on our wedding day was absolutely amazing, it was so good that some of our guests took photos of it. The hotel was very clean and of very high standards. The hairdresser on the hotel grounds were very good as they had been closed before the wedding day i did not get a chance to book an apointment but the morning of the wedding after having a massage in the spa i popped in past and asked if they could fit me in not knowing that they had not opened for the day but the lady was very good and said she would do my hair for me and she even fit my husband and best man in to. I would recommend anyone planning to marry abroad to pick adams beach as they will give you the day of your dreams.

Myself, my husband and our 4 year old daughter stayed at the Adams Beach in May and we had a fantastic time. The hotel was very friendly and very well run. The location of the hotel means that you are right next door to Nissi Beach but as the hotel has its own bit of beach round the corner its a lot quieter.

The pools and lazy river are lovely and the gardens are gorgeous and well tended. There are also a couple of water slides which my daughter adored, on climbing up the steps for yet another go she turned to me and said, this is the best holiday ever!

We were upgraded to a Queen Suite on arrival which was lovely and spacious (only comment was a little dark but I suppose this would be a bonus in the height of the summer to keep cool). Although air con was also in the rooms.

The food in the hotel was in the form of a different themed buffet everynight which had something for everyone, even my little girl always found something she liked. It was quite expensive though as we were only staying on b&b basis and a couple of times we ate out in the restaurant next door (Dione)which was much cheaper and really nice food too.

I can't really comment on the entertainment much as we went back to the room quite early but every night my daughter enjoyed the mini disco and adored the girls on the animation team. They also went round the pools during the day to see if any kids wanted to join in with various games they were playing. I would never feel comfortable putting my daughter in a kids club but this way you could always go and watch them play volleyball or boules or whatever they were doing and park yourself on a nearby sun lounger to watch while you're still relaxing. Although my husband did also get roped into a few games of volleyball!

There were quite a few weddings while we were there but they never took over the hotel and it was really nice to see the brides and smart wedding parties. The outside wedding reception area was just along a bit from our room but the rooms must be very well sound proofed as we never got disturbed. In reception one day I overheard some English people who had just come into the hotel for a wedding and they were really impressed and saying how they wished their hotel was as nice as this one.

I would fully recommend this hotel, quite pricey but I suppose you get what you pay for and this was definately worth it.

We have just returned from the Adams Beach and we had a great time. It was a real family holiday and a special occasion. That is why we chose the Adams Beach. True to say that if you are expecting a 5 star hotel with opulence dripping from the walls then you will be disappointed. However it is in reality a good 4 star hotel with all the amenities that you could ask for.

The pool and surrounding areas are brillant. The pools are a series of linked and seperate pools that flow really well. They even have two water slides which are open for 2 hours of the day only (bit of a shame). THe hotel is smack bang on the beach and is great for the kids to make sand castles, grab your nets and try and catch some fish or wonder back into the swimming pools for some great fun.

The rooms are very clean and the hotel is undergoing a major refurbishment. We had a family room and it was more than big enough.

Location to Aya Napa is about a 5-7 taxi ride which costs about 8-9 Euros. It was completley dead this time of year but I can imagine it is heaving in the summer months. WARNING, do not eat at the the "Limanaki Restaurant" by the Harbour. They rip you off.

Back to the hotel. It is very pricey. With the poor euro exchange rate at the moment you are basically paying the same as the UK if not a little more. If eating in the main restaurant be prepared for piano music which does leave you somewhat looking for the exit. Cannot fault the food but be prepared for some slow classical, mundane piano music. We were unfortunate enough to also have the head waiter being over attentive. He stank of body odour and this was really awful whne eating. It yurned into a running joke through the holiday as he then seemed to turn up in the pool bar restaurant as wel during the day.

The reception staff are a little unhelpful and its as if they are doing you a favour. If your thinking about extending your room think twice. They charge a jaw dropping 80 euros for a 6 hour extension. The daily rate is only 100 euros. This we felt was somewhat disproportionate and a bit of a rip off. But if you have a late flight and children then you may have to stump up, or share the cost with family or new found friends. Also they are a little sneaky with the wine. They do not sell the 12 euro house wine in the restaurant. The cheapest is around 23 euros. When asked why they did not sell the "Adams Beach" wine you could almost see the wry smile on their face as they knew you were getting Ripped off.

For all the negatives which I want you to know we did have a great holiday and if you can except this then go for it.

Went to Adams Beach as our first time in Cyprus in May 2007 having read a variety of mixed reviews was unsure what to expect but absolutely loved this hotel myself husband and 2 children could not have enjoyed ourselves more. The food in the evening (you have to make sure you book) in the main restaurant was absolutely out of this world. Drinks and food at the hotel were a little pricey but we did not mind paying the little bit extra as the standard was great.

Found some really nice restaurants as you walk along towards Aiya Napa which we did most nights, there is a great Chinese restaurant on the right hand side about 15 to 20 minutes walk from the hotel and many other lovely places to eat on this route.

Kids are welcomed with open arms here in general and there were plenty of fun areas attached to the variety of restaurants outside the hotel.

The only couple of downsides to the hotel are that you have to get up early to bag a sunbed and there are a lot of weddings back to back each day but other than that would defo go back.

Have fun if you are going and just make the most of it!

We got married at the chapel at Adams Beach in Sept 07 and brought our family out to share it with us. We absolutely loved this hotel and the holiday was no less than perfect. Adams Beach lives up to its tag line "a world of your own" it was such a lovely place.

Our room was great, cleaned everyday, spacious and overlooking the complex with a sea view. The outside dining areas are really nice and the pool areas excellent - spoilt for choice. I know our wedding made it a special holiday for us but we loved the hotel so much my husband and I are booking to go back next year.

Ayia Napa is a great place with lots to do for all ages and this hotel is the best we've ever stayed in and we'd recommend it to anyone.

I got married at the Adams beach last year and had a great time. The staff were always happy to help and the hotel and pool area were spotless.

One fault about the pool area was that there were often no free sunloungers which was surprising due to the size of it.

We ate in the hotel one evening and it was the nicest meal we have had at a hotel.

Whenever we rang the reception with a query they helped us as much as possible - this was mainly relating to our wedding, as we could not contact our rep. The reception staff helped us sort problems and took messages whilst we were out which they were not obliged to do.

The location of the hotel is probably the main downside if you do want to spend time in Ayia Napa although there is a bus service outside and taxis are always available for £3 -£5.

Adams Beach has its own beach and also leads onto Nissi Beach which is beautiful. I would return to this hotel without a second thought, as everything about it was first class.

Have been to this hotel before and I have to say the standard has dropped. I wouldn’t say it was 5* closer to 4* public areas and 3* rooms.

I had one of the rooms which had not been refurbished and it showed! Very tired looking and awful view. The hotel seems to have about 5 weddings a day and the wedding parties take over the hotel and seem to cause some trouble.

The food was excellent if not a bit expensive as is the drink but there are lots of lovely bars close by. The hotel pool is nice but a bit crowded and Nissi beach was as amazing as ever.

Will go back to Nissi one day but will stay in a proper 5 * next time.

What a beautiful 5 star hotel, fantastic views right on the beach, great amenities, staff were wonderful bar area lush, the grounds are just fabulous, the meals are perfect, entertainment at the hotel is good also.

This hotel is in a fantastic spot not far from the shops and bars there is plenty of other 5 star hotels in this area of Nissi bay which isn’t far from Ayia Napa if you want a lively night out, Nissi itself is rather quiet but perfect for relaxation.

Would definitely go back!!

My husband and I stayed at the Adams beach hotel for a week in October. It was our 20th wedding anniversary. We usually stay in 3 or 4 star hotels, but we thought we would "push the boat out" for this special occasion and book a 5 star hotel.

However, we were a little disappointed:

Breakfast was very repetitive, cooked food was always on the cold side when I sat down at the table, bacon was not always cooked properly. Just as well we were bed and breakfast and not half board, (as we usually do).

We have stayed in nicer 3 star rooms, again, this was a letdown, small, outdated decor, a bit shabby looking, definitely not what we expected for a 5 star.

Ants appeared on about the 4th day, yes I appreciate we were in a hot country, ant powder was then placed all around the room and left there for the rest of the holiday. Just as well there was not children in the room.

We always have a fridge in our room, (which is usually free of charge), but this one had a mini bar (very expensive) and you were charged 5 pounds per day for personal use!

Apart from that, they actually layout of the hotel was fantastic, especially the swimming pools.

The staff were lovely and very friendly.

The beach next to ours (to the left) was absolutely covered in litter and cigarette ends.

We would have loved to have come back to this hotel with our family next year, but unfortunately the food and the room let it down. It was definitely (in our opinion) not 5 star rating.

I wouldn't have minded, but it was a very expensive holiday. What a shame!

I got married here in Sep 2006, we also had our 3 year old there with us at the time. The room was lovely with a lovely sea view and very comfortable.

The wedding went well although there are a lot of them. The food was great and the pool area fab. The drinks and food were a bit expensive and the only complaint was the hotel entertainment was bad and this was disappointing as every thing else was so nice.

It would have been a 10 if the entertainment was better.

I have recently returned with my family (2 children under 10) and we had a great time at the Adams Beach.

The pools are excellent, the kids club staff are first class and the hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

We took up the flexi-dine option (10 days half board out of 14) and found the food to be excellent. We were particularly impressed with the efforts made to accommodate my daughter's coeliac condition, which necessitates a strict gluten free diet.

Although the food was buffet style - the chef took a separate order each night from my daughter to ensure that the meal was gluten free!!

If you are eating out, we would recommend Clarabels in Ayia Napa (£4 taxi ride).

The Queen suite we stayed was spacious and worth the extra money.

The only downsides that I would highlight are:

- The evening entertainment was very poor. Some of the acts would be embarrassing at Karaoke nights.

- As the hotel is the best in the area, non-residents frequent the pool area during the day. The holiday is not cheap, and it is annoying when others gain some of the benefits without the outlay.

Other than that, we would strongly recommend the place.

We got married at the Adams Beach on the 3rd August and couldn't have had a better day - the hotel is busy (we must have seen at least 6 other weddings), so I'd recommend emailing them in advance with your requirements. Katerina on the wedding team is superb and will give you honest advice about what you really need if you choose to have your wedding reception at the hotel.

Hotel location is superb - ideal if half of your family likes the beach, and the other the pool as you get both without being split up. Takes a good 20 mins to walk into Napa and I'd recommend getting a taxi for £4.

If you can, get a superior room, the standard rooms haven't all been refurbished yet and are looking tired, definitely a squeeze if there's three of you.

Don't bother going HB, plenty of fantastic restaurants nearby - try out Valentines and Applebells.

We have just returned from 2 weeks at the Adams Beach Hotel, and the words fantastic, amazing and brilliant are just a few words to describe it! This will be a long review lol!

We arrived to a lovely warm welcome (even at 2am!) and checked in really fast, very efficient, and friendly staff. We were given a family room as we took our 3 children, and it was fantastic.

We had a double bed, 2 singles, and a camp bed (which was very comfy) the room had a huge double wardrobe, and 2 bed side tables with drawers, and more drawers were in the TV/minibar cupboard, so plenty of storage. There was also a desk/dressing table with mirror and a table and chairs.

There was another table and chairs on the balcony as well. The bathroom was amazing, two showers one in a cubicle and one in the bath, and also double sinks! There was also a shaving mirror, hair dryer and little tubs of complimentary shampoo, soap, and bubble bath. There was also a complimentary plate of fruit in the room!

Most important was the air conditioning which you could set to your liking, and was very nice in the heat of the day!

We went bed and breakfast, and it was great, help yourself buffet style with a fantastic selection including full cooked English breakfast, cooked meats and cheese, cereal, toast, breads, yogurt, fruit and more!!

There was always plenty of room to sit and the staff were so efficient and friendly. We got shown to a table each morning and brought a pot of coffee, great way to start the day!

We did eat lunch at the hotel a few times in the Vitaminas pool bar, and there was a good choice on the menu, with the usual fast efficient service and lovely food. Everything in the hotel is charged to your room so you don’t have to carry any cash, you just sign each time.

This is especially good with the swim up bar! We were told Cyprus was expensive, but we found the prices in line with UK prices to be honest. The hotel wasn’t that much more than nearby restaurants and cheaper than some. We also ordered room service a few times which can be expensive and there is an 80 cent service charge each time.

The food is lovely though and made a nice treat for me and my Husband!

We went out for most of our evening meals, and found a few nice places. We went to Koutouki Tavern and Oddyus Karaoke bar and both times enjoyed our meal. The best place by far though was the Wild West Grill house. (On the way into Napa, about 15 mins from hotel on opposite side of the road) The food was to die for and the service was excellent.

There are separate restaurant and bar areas both with really good children’s play areas, and also big screens for the footie fans! Such a good place for families, the staff are brilliant with the children! If you go say hello to Nicos from Mark & Dawn in Leicester!

There are also some nice cafes near the harbour which are cheap and serve nice food. To be honest everywhere we went the people were lovely, so friendly and can’t do enough for you.

Back to the Hotel which is where we spent most days (venturing out at night!) There are 5 pools which are fab, along with a lazy river you can float around and sunbathe! There’s a deeper pool with a waterfall, and pools with shallow ends and sprays for the children. We spent hours in the pool, if you buy your floats from the Adams superstore, there even inflate them for you!

We didn’t have trouble getting sunbeds, but I would recommend putting your towel out before 8.00am if you want a good choice of where to sit, as people do block book them. We put our towels out before brekkie then went straight to the pool afterwards.

The entertainment staff play water polo everyday with the children about 11.00am as well which is great. The swim up bar is fab, situated nearer one of the kiddies pools, so you can enjoy a cocktail whilst they play!

Adams Beach also has a private beach, some areas are a little stony, but there are sandy bits where you can wade right out. There is a ladder to the side and we used that, as it’s lovely and sandy and near the rocks for crab catching. Also I would highly recommend buying a snorkel set and looking at all the fish, we spent hours doing it and it’s an amazing experience!

The evening entertainment is ok; we didn’t go every night so didn’t see it all. Would highly recommend the magician on Saturdays at 9.30pm, he’s really funny and very talented, we were amazed. There is also a kid’s disco each evening at 8.30pm for the younger kiddies where the entertainment staff teach them dance moves and play games, our kids loved it!!

We spent a few nights in Napa itself, but always came back before the clubbers went in about 11.00pm. There are lots of shops and a funfair, and also go-karts and crazy golf, great fun for the kiddies. We also went into the bars on the way into Napa; most have children’s play areas, and all welcome children. Again the Wild West was our favourite, but there are lots to choose from.

We spent a few hours near the harbour which was good, lovely views and lots of rocks, but they are very slippy nearer the water. Also there are lots of cats about which are quite sweet, but I wouldn’t let the children stroke them (just in case) Nissi beach is really nice, lots of bars playing music, and lovely clear shallow water. You can wade out to a small island, and there are loads of watersports available, and a bungee jump for the brave lol!!

The hotel itself is fantastic, very clean, and spacious; the maids clean your room every day. There are computers in the lobby where you can get on the internet (50 cents for 10 minutes) and also an Xbox for the children to play on (same price) there are lots of comfy sofas and a TV, which come in handy when you are waiting for your airport bus on checkout!!

There is also an area to store your cases, and they provide towels for you to shower, so you can still go though the pool and beach once you have checked out which is at 12.00pm. There is also an indoor pool, well equipped gym, games room for the kids with arcade games and pool table, and tennis courts, all in all the hotel has everything; you don’t have to venture out at all if you don’t want to!!

We enjoyed our holiday so much, and would recommend Adams Beach to anyone. We will definitely be going back!

This is an amazing hotel! I would recommend it to anyone! We stayed here for a week in September 2006 and just didn’t want to go home!

The staff are very friendly, the hotel is super clean and spacious, and there is air conditioning almost everywhere you go - which is important as it gets very hot!

The grounds are just beautiful, it offers plenty of beauty treatments and spa like facilities, it also has an indoor pool and is a ten second walk to an amazing beach which offers a huge variety of water sports and somewhere to have a drink, eat and sunbathe.

The thing I feel I really have to give the hotel credit for was the way that the grounds were kept.

The grounds - where you spend most of your time - had everything, a huge pool, with a lazy river, swim up bar, fountains, Jacuzzi and swimming areas, the gardens were pretty and had covered areas for those who don’t like 100% sun.

There are toilets there also and showering areas so you don’t have to trail back to your hotel room. The beach was also great it had shallow water ideal for the young children to paddle in.

There were plentiful sunloungers and the hotel supplies you with big beach towels.

The thing that really took our breath away was the view from our hotel room. We had originally booked a standard room with garden views and requested if possible could we have a sea view - the Adams Beach obviously had some sea view rooms available and upgraded us without even having to ask - free of charge.

The hotel is a reasonable walk away from the centre of Ayia Napa, aprox 30 mins, this is a little far though in the heat of the day to walk, but the bus routes towards town are right outside of the hotel.

There is also plenty of bars and restaurants within five minutes of the hotel as well as shops. There is a deli just outside of the Adams Beach which sells all of the international newspapers and magazines - as well as water, alcohol and snack like food.

The only thing about the hotel that was slightly disappointing is that its 5* status was reflected in the prices. The swim up bar for example charged aprox £4 (English pounds) for cocktails, £1.50 (EP) for the soft drinks and £3 (EP) for the beer.

The food was also quite expensive aprox £15 per person for a meal on the night and £5 per person for snack food through the day.

A few people we spoke to complained about the rooms being a bit run down - we didn’t find this, but we had heard from some other guests that the hotel rooms were being refurbished November 2006 - so I would expect this has improved.

All in all though, this was a really great hotel and well worth the money we paid - it is quite expensive considering it is so far out of the main town - but the beaches and the facilities it has to offer more than compensated for this.
