Ibis Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport-Gares Hotel

This place has very little to recommend it other than a very good location. However, it is no closer to the airport terminals than many other hotels. It was dark, hot, and at times very noisy. The service in the restaurant was a joke. The waitress routinely brought three of four orders and simply ignored the fourth. There are so many hotels in the "hotel village" 6 minutes from Charles de Gaulle Airport that no one need ever stay at the Ibis Roissy Charles de Gaulle, 2 Ave. de la Raperie. First, travelers should know what our travel agent failed to tell us: there are TWO Ibis Hotels at CDG; the one where we stayed was not at the airport; it was in a "hotel village" about 6 minutes away. We had a very early flight from Charles De Gaulle and decided to spend our last night in Paris in this hotel to get some rest before a long trip and to save on expensive early morning taxi ride to the airport. We ended up hugely regretting this decision. The hotel is located very close to the airport and to the CDG train station. Stayed here with my group in November, 2005, after our Air France flight was cancelled. Air France put us up on this hotel, near Charles De Gaulle Airport, for one night. Although this hotel is close to the airport and on the free shuttle line, it is a bad reflection on the class of service I would expect from Air France. Money definitely spent on appearance. Downstairs reception area pretty average. Rooms poky and in need of decoration. Wouldn't walk on the floor bare-footed. Towels old and so small that a size 8 would have difficulty! The hotel have a taxi service to Parc des Expositions. Driver dropped us at the wrong address. This hotel is atrocious! I've given it one star because there is not a 'no star' category. It is coveniently situated for Paris CDG, the bus station and the RER trains. The reception is OK. The rooms however are terrible, not to any standard at all. I know it is only 2 star but the room was tiny with two very uncomfortable single beds. The walls were really thin, you could hear everything in the adjoining rooms. The bathroom only has a shower and is tiny. This is a nice hotel to stay overnight when your flight timetable requires. The check in is friendly and smooth, the rooms are rather small, but if arriving only with carry-on suitcases you'll survive. The room was clean and nice, the 2 single beds were somewhat narrower than the usual standard. The shuttle service is efficient and self-served breakfast is certainly a huge plus. When I need to stay overnight at CDG again, I will definitely consider this property.

We stayed at the hotel on Oct.2. The rooms were large by European standards and very clean. We even had a comfortable queen size bed. The breakfast is self-serve and costs 6.50 euros and has a good selection of choices. Reception was fast and friendly. They have a bar and a restaurant on premises with reasonably priced meals. They offer free shuttles to the terminals which depart every 15 minutes. The cost of 89 euros is a bargain when compared to other Paris hotels. We highly recommend it.

It's a ggod hotel for one next to the airport. Nothing wonderful but just good to sleep in comfort.

I have stayed at this hotel several times over the past 10 years. It is located by the RER railway station and easily reached on the shuttle bus (Line 2) from the lowest level outside Terminal 1. The hotel had been upgraded in the bathrooms since I was last there. In my opinion it is very handy if, as I did on 22/23 May your flight arrives after midnight. Next day you can get an early start on RER line B to Gare du Nord.
