We've just returned from Paphos having stayed in the Veronica Hotel, yes it is a little dated so what! The food was good plenty of choice and the staff very pleasant and went about their duties very professionally we thought. The room we had was nice and quiet, bedding and towels were changed every day. Some of the guests had been to the Veronica Hotel many times, and we hope to make another visit.

I have to agree with Mick in the previous review, we returned on the 17/11/07 and we couldn't wait for the two weeks to be over and to get home . Outwardly the hotel looks fine one of the oldest in the area, but was refurbished some time ago. The rooms were very basic with not enough storage space. The cleanliness left a lot to be desired our bath and sink were not cleaned properly if at all during the fortnight we were there on two occasions we were in the room(on the balcony) when the room was cleaned it took 5 minutes for the maid to... more

Just returned 14/11/2007 from two weeks at the Veronica paphos . Paphos great as usual but the hotel Veronica oh dear! tired, boring,dreary. And for god's sake dont be late for breakfast or dinner. Breakfast 07.00- 09.30 we were told at 09.05 that we were to late and they were clearing away. Same at night they were clearing away at 9.pm instead of 9.30. Also there is no entertainment in the evening of any sort only football on three tv's So go room only if you can better still go somewhere else. Mick Leicester.

I returned from Paphos on 11th November 2007. Overall we enjoyed the holiday but I would not advise this hotel to anyone! We took the all inclusive package and we ended up eating in the local resturants most meal times as the food was unbearable! There is no variety and most of the food served was cold! We stayed from 4th to 11th November. Good size rooms but basic. Beds uncomfortable. Limescale in loo and taps could do with a clean but plenty of hot water. Found reception staff very miserable and unhelpful. Very hot when we arrived on Sunday, asked why our aircon not working, they said they would sort it out on Monday, nothing done by Tuesday so asked again to be told it's switched off on the 1st November every year! We booked a last minute holiday via a travel agent and the Veronica seemed okay. The day before we were due to fly I read some really really bad reviews and was actually dreading going. I packed cleaning essentials and rubber gloves!! When we arrived I was pleasantly surprised by the outside, the reception area was fine too. We booked the holiday in July 2007 with the Co-Op travel. We arrived at Paphos airport and were taken to the Veronica in a taxi mini bus. It only took around ten minutes to get there. We went to the reception and checked in then took the lift to the first floor. We had a few stairs to go up and down and some fire doors to go through which are closed all the time before we reached our room. Booked the Holiday through Libra Holidays to fly direct to Paphos as one of the party is an Amputee. Flight got changed to Larnica. Bad start. Company very unhelpful. Hotel rooms could do with a make over, little draw space. Bathrooms dated. Went for pool views, top floor, glad we did as it was noisy at the front even this late in season (26/9 - 10/10). At reception we were told that the only room they had for us was windowless and after one night we would be transfered to another room. Considering that we had booked and paid in full over a month in advance we told them to find another room which they grudgingly did. No smiles at reception, it could have been handled better! Hotel Ok but need a lot of TLC. Both breakfast and dinner were buffet style and lacked any imagination, especially the sweet. We eat out.
