First class hotel, food out of this world, staff excellent, We were on a dancing ho;iday. Easy walk into the town. No problem getting sun beds. Rooms clean and tidy and made up every day. Would like to have had the choice of all inclusive otherwis no complaints. Hope to be back next year.

Having just arrived back in the UK this afternoon after staying at the Pioneer Beach Hotel, i can honestly say the only thing that let this hotel down was the sun-bed hoggers on a morning. People must ave got up mega early as to reserve them which is very unfair because by... more

This year will be my 15th time at the Pioneer, it is a great place to relax and unwind for 2 weeks. I hear people saying it is just for the old but when I started going 15 years ago it was for kids as well, hence I am 30 now and I feel every time I got to the Pionner its like I have arrived home.

I booked a holiday with Thomas Cook staying at the Pioneer Beach Hotel in Paphos. On booking the holiday with the consultant I expressed my concern that on the accommodation voucher it stated a twin room for three, I explained that I wanted a double and she assured me that... more

brilliant hotel
visited Pioneer beach from 28th March to 4th April as a single travellor. I must say i have visited many 4 star hotels in Europe over the past 5/6 years and this was the best by far. I arrived on the Wednesday Evening and had a very quick check in. The Concierge took my bag to my room. As a single travellor I am used to small rooms with no balcony. I was surprised to be greeted with twin beds, half a bottle of wine, fruit, sea view wiyh balcony, dressing gown and slippers, iron, tea making facilities, free bottle of mineral water and sky... more
Had a great break in this hotel.
We have just got back from the Pioneer where we went for a late winter sun break. Whilst the hotel was not the type of hotel we would normally stay in (we prefer smaller hotels/B&B’s) we were very pleased with our choice. The room was a good size and fairly simply decorated. It was very well equipped with iron, ironing board, beach/pool towels, kettle, fridge and hairdryer (albeit a very old one so would recommend taking your own). The room, as were all public places, was very clean. One tip – there is not much... more
Absolutely Fabulous
I have visited this hotel 3 times and I would highly recommend it. The staff are fantastic, the rooms bright and comfortable . The food is great with plenty of choice and I would recommended travelling half board. The location is ideal if you like tranquility but you can jump on a bus to take you to the market, coral bay and the harbour. This hotel chain takes some beating and I will continue to visit for many years to come.
Good hotel
I read old reviews and then i choice this hotel. Yes, it was very peaceful place and there i can sleep good. Not night time noise. Some aeroplanes go over, but only daytime. Airport is near, i measure by Google-Earth about 6 km straight to west. Ok, i book non-smoke room, but i get smokers room. That is a little bad thing, because room was very clean. Bus to harbour or to Coral Bay was only 70 - 80 cents. waterpark was near and it is open summertime. See photos. There was horseriding and karting race near too. <br... more
Derby and Joan Club
We have just returned from a two week holiday at the Pioneer Paphos which overall was very pleasant and relaxing. The staff were excellant attentive and obliging and the choice of food must be the best I've experienced in over 40 years of travelling, if you can't find anything to your liking you are indeed hard to please and for these points I give it the above average rating, however, the hotel is starting to look a bit tired and is in need of a revamp it is clean and tidy but is starting to show signs of wear and tear. The clients are... more
February at Pioneer Beach
We have just returned from a week at the Pioneer Beach Hotel. The hotel is situated in a quiet part of town. We found the management and the staff attentive and helpful. The food was excellent, with theme nights each evening. The breakfast menu offered a wide choice, was good quality food, and was well presented. Our bedroom was at the side of the hotel, with a view of a natural shoreline. There was a fridge in the room which was only stocked with minibar items if you wanted it, otherwise it was available for personal use. There... more
great hotel
loved everything about hotel food, room, staff, happy hour
Just back..Loved it!
Would go back in a heartbeat and we will return again to this hotel or any one of the chain. Outside the hotel the bus runs past and they are clean and have a set price. Down the road is the triangle (Shops and lots of resteraunts) or farther down is Kato Paphos (Lower Paphos). Jump on the bus and hop off where you like, easy and comfartable. Kato Paphos is the harbour area with tons of cafe's and reseraunts, there is even a KFC, Pizza Hut or Mc'D's if that's your thing. Seafood is excellent. Watch out for the touts about though.... more
Mixed Review
A mixed review, but maybe my expectations were too high from reading previous reviews! Hotel: Room: Nice, clean, comfortable rooms with Sky TV and a sea view balcony- lovely. Nice touch with towelling robes and slippers for use, and basket of fruit and bottle of water on arrival.Mini bar empty so you can use it as a fridge- great idea as the mini market on the ground floor is not too overpriced considering the convenience of it. Facilities: Excellent- table tennis, gym, 2 pools, internet access, darts, plenty to do indoors if... more
Nice
Just returned from a relaxing week in a 'nice' hotel. It is worth mentioning that this really is a 'kids free' hotel and therefore very quiet. It is also worth mentioning that most of the customers are over 70 and are 'returners', if you keep going back you'll get a 15% discount on your room! All the basics are there at the Hotel, it is clean, well kept and the staff are helpful, but, for us the fantastic weather (26-30 degrees everyday), bright blue cloudless days made our holiday. We stayed on B&B basis, we did try the... more
