pleasant, comfortable, clean and first impressions are wrong with this hotel. very helpful staff, buffet meals by the poolside to suit every taste. no complaints. who wants a grande hotel with no atmosphere.we booked bed and breakfast but chose to eat evening meal every night except the first night.

During our stay good cleaning seemed to be by chance, because of taking place only on maybe 4 days of a week. Drawers had to be taken out and turned over to clean them by ourselves which left me with a white covered shirt full of fungus from the down side of drawer.... more

As soon as we got into the apartment we were confronted by cockroach in the bedroom area, we phoned reception who sent a maid to clear them and she left me with a spray so I could spray around the floors - nice!! Later we found more cockroach in the living area, absolutely... more

The minute we walked into our hotel, we know we are in trouble. There is 80s music played loudly all day long around the pool till 10pm, and tonnes of activities like quiz night, bingos and kareoke blazing through the roof. If you want peace and quiet, this is not the place... more

Nice two weeks from junewill2000
We have just returned from two weeks in the Hotel, the room was large enough, comfortable if you like a firm mattress, cleaned regularly and linen changed every other day. No complaints there. Was a bit disappointed that there was no kettle or a small fridge to keep drinks cool. The small problem I had with the bedside light was dealt with swiftly by the management. All the hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Use earplugs so any late night noise from the entertainment each evening will go un-noticed. This usually ended... more
OK Hotel but not one of the best that Paphos has to offer. from rhinofromleeds
This hotel was ok the rooms were large but we were lucky at the rear of the hotel on the top floor it was quiet. The entertainment was for the children both day and night not that we stayed in after the first evening, Paphos is much better than around the hotel area, so take a walk along the beach to the main part of Kato Paphos and you can eat and drink well for around 15 Cypriot pounds each. We will be back in Paphos again, that will be 8 times but never at this hotel. more

The Paphos Gardens hotel was an excellent hotel. The staff were lovely. I have read a lot of bad reviews, but I think the majority of these are about the apartments. I cannot comment on these but the hotel really was great. The hotel pool is lovely. Had no problems getting sun bed everyday. The snack bar food, toasted sandwiches etc were brilliant. Happy hour in the bar was a nice touch to early evening after a day in the sun. Paphos is an excellent resort for everyone. There are lively bars for the younger couples or on the main... more

Spent 7 nights here. Stayed in the Camelia aparts. We had pre booked a superior room with air conditioning. Was nervous of accomadation after reading so many bad reviews but cannot believe this is the same place as i read about! The apartmet was very big and easily accomadated five of us. The place was spotless. The staff went out of their to help and very friendly. A lovely big pool and again spotless clean. Maybe it was the superior room we booked or maybe the other people were unlucky but i would highly reccomend this pace to anyone but... more

This is the best holiday I ever had....loved it so much that I have been back 3 more times and plan to go again this year! The staff on reception are great, in fact all the staff are good. The rooms are not extravagant, but are clean and tidy and kept clean and tidy throughout the stay. The pools are really nice and there is lots to do. I have stayed on both a self catering and bed and breakfast basis and both are great. Food is good and lots of variety. I can't wait to go back this September! more

This complex seems a well established and well known complex in Paphos, but I'm afraid it lacks a bit of TLC. The paths leading to the apts need to be concreted properly and the gardens covering the paths need to be attended to throughout the year and not just the summer season. From reviews on this site, it appears the main hotel is looked after very well, but the apartments are not attended to as well. I have mixed reviews about this complex. We stayed in the Azalea apartment block on 1 May 2007 and the apt we had was a 2 bed apt.... more

I thought this holiday was great! The pool was perfect for all children and adults. Great entertainment. We attempted to go to the spa on the bottom floor.. saw 1 cockroach [[1st one only]] we went into the small pool on the bottom floor it was freezing! We went to one of the bars i think it was something called bubbles? i dont know but that was great. The shops werent far away the apartement we stayed in opposite the shop was brilliant very big could of slept 6 people. Lots of kittens though! Went to the small pool 1nce or twice... more

Just returned from pahos gardens hotel and I stayed for one week with friends. Great place, friendly staff, ultra clean, food brilliant and lots of it. Well stocked mini mart. Walking distance from harbour - (ok a longish walk but not too bad) Great local supermarket with everything you can wish for. Only one drawback was going on the safari day drip to Troodos mountains.....ordered and paid in advance for the dvd of our day out and it hasn't arrived.....5 days was promised but its now 14 days and nothing as yet....possible scam but you... more

I must admit I was very worried after reading the reviews for Paphos Gardens. I requested an upgrade to a superior appartment as my parents, in their 70s, were coming with us and are not used to "roughing it". I shouldn't have worried. The apartment was very spacious, fantastic fully equipped kitchen, huge balcony, the beds were comfortable and housekeeping was superb. The food was a bit average but we did a flexi-dine package for 3 days half board and at £8.50 a head per day what can you expect! The location in Paphos was superb.... more
