We had a really wonderful and relaxing holiday here earlier this year. We hope to return next year. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. When we arrived i requested extra pillows, and there were in the room, before we arrived!
There was always a wide selection of food available in the restaurant and the staff here were very helpful.
The hotel was always clean and tidy. The room was not overly big, but was just what you need for a holiday - who wants to stay in a room all day?
I can only say to the lady who spent her honeymoon here, that there were people of all ages staying when we were here. I am sad that she found the staff unhelpful. There was a wedding when we were there and they all seemed to be very happy.
Also has she never heard of pushing two beds together?

My friend and I have just returned from a weeks stay at The Paphian Bay Hotel, Paphos and we could not fault it.
From the time we arrived we were extremely impressed with the staff. They were all extremely helpful and happy.
The hotel and grounds are in beautiful condition, everywhere is very clean and cleaned every day. There is always a huge amount of food to choose from and all delicious.
Our room was cleaned every day and we were given fresh bath and beach towels daily.
Before we left we obviously read some of the other reviews, yes the bathroom is rather small - but who cares!
We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone.

This was mine and my boyfriends first holiday together, and we couldnt have asked for better. It was exactley what we had wanted. The staff at the paphian bay were very helpful and friendly. the rooms were very clean, the hotel food was great, although if like my boyfriend, you prefer typical steak and chips, you are best eating out as the hotel food is very local in tastes and recipies. the harbour is just a short bus ride away and the buses or taxis are very cheap. The locals in the old town are also very friendly. Coral Beach is a must visit, although I would advise that you take some pumps to wear on the beach as the sand is like fire. Of a night we would take a stroll up the main road to a few bars or visit the neighbouring hotels and watch thear entertainment as a change from our hotel. The entertainment in the hotel is a bit of a let down, but they do try. For a more liveley night we would get the bus further into the harbour, or it is just a 30 minute walk, which we didnt mind. The private beach is lovely, but just watch for the rocks in the water as parts of it are not very smooth. All in all it was a very good holiday, and very good value for money. At the end of the holiday we came back with half of what we took, although last year cyprus was still in the cypriot pound. We are returning this year to paphian bay!

The staff were very friendly and helpfull. There was a large variety of food everyday, something for everyone.
The hotel was very relaxing, the pool area and gardens were never dirty, as was the private beach area. The hotel was only a short walk away form the shops and pubs in the evening. And only a short bus journey form the main town, harbour and Coral Bay.
This hotel is much better than a 3 star hotel, could not fault it. We would definatly go back and recomend it to anyone.

My partner and I travelled out to Paphos to get married with Thomson holidays.
Thomson wedding co-ordinator wonderful!
However.......
Do not go to this hotel to get married. They do not understand what a special day, like your wedding day means to a couple. They put us in a room set up with 2 single beds (for a honeymoon couple!) No sparkling wine or fruit on arrival as paid for and expected. When asked about it at reception, they said they had no knowledge of a wedding party and didnt seem to care less. They were not too happy about us having photos taken in the grounds and the location requested for our wedding cake cutting and photos was rejected and they moved us without consultation. After reading the reviews of this hotel we thought we were on to a winner.
This hotel is full of people in their 70's and 80's. The food is bland and like baby food to accommodate for these guests. As is the entertainment. Do not believe the photos in the brochures, the rooms have awful 1970s office furniture in them.
Although we paid for half board we resulted in going out for our evening meal for 8 days because the food was so tasteless and repetitive.
We stayed out of this hotel as much as we could for the whole 14 days. Awful.

Fantastic resort well worth the money. Clean room, staff very friendly and couldn't be more helpful. Food was ok as was eat as much as you can.
Room had balcony and was very nicely decorated. Bit out of the way, but a bus journey for 80 was ace. If you like to be out of the hustle and bustle it was fantastic and quiet.
Would go back again.

Stayed here with my husband and 15 yr old son in early March. We were with Sports Resorts and some other athletes to take part in the Cyprus Marathon.
The room was great for 2 but a bit cramped for 3 and the bathroom was too small. We were moved promptly after the first night when we had a leak in the bathroom ceiling.
We appreciated the fridge, kettle, and hair dryer and aircon/heating in our room, also separate towels for the pool and regular linen changes.
We enjoyed the buffet style food with lots of choice including delicious local dishes. Staff were friendly and helpful and we could use facilities at any of the other hotels in the group.
I would definitely stay there again as we had a very good value holiday in pleasant surroundings.

You can not go wrong by booking to stay here. We decided to pick here by reading other holiday reviews and we are so glad we did.
The staff are extremely polite and cannot do enough for you and the place is spotless. The waiters in the bars are a laugh as they get to know you and remember you tipple.
We had a drink in the 'Sherlock Holmes Bar' at night before going out for a late meal and we had it to ourselves as other guests preferred the 'big screen' room (World cup was on), and we made use of the happy hour 19.00-20.00.
The pool area is great with a separate pool for the kids and all you do is walk through the gardens to get to the beach which was always spotless. You also have towels provided.
You can certainly put weight on here if you don't watch your calorie intake (who does on holiday though!); at breakfast they do gorgeous deep fried streaky bacon, which goes great with the cheese pie that they do every day and beans.
Hubby got a bit addicted to bacon butties and only put '1 Ib' on in weight. There is so much choice for breakfast that you can stay for 10 nights and not have the same meal twice.
We also had a couple of evening meals at the Hotel which were well worth the money (they put a leaflet on the breakfast tables if there is something special on and you just sign it and put your room number on and give it to reception).
One was a 'BBQ' night which was extremely tasty as again there is a mountain of choice and more sweets than you can eat. We went B&B but in reception there was a poster saying that if guests wanted to convert to 1/2 board for 7 nights they could and only pay for 5, which was a good idea.
The shop in the Hotel is well priced too as some can really rocket the prices up. If you like red wine, try the 'Othello Vintage red wine' is beautiful, if you are a red wine drinker like me.
There are plenty of buses to get you to the Harbour, Paphos and Coral Bay. You pay a fixed price ticket. The market in Pathos is only open until about 12.30 and the stalls are great to wonder round.
If you like a drink of alcohol there is a shop on the outskirts of the market where prices were very reasonable. The Hotel is right between bus stops so if you turn right from the Hotel this stop is least busy and slightly nearer.
Taxis are always around and beeping you on this road as there seems to be the most largest and expensive looking of Hotels in Pathos on this road (the Taxi's are all white Merc's).
BE WARNED-If you get stopped by English men and women on scooters/mopeds just carry on walking and say ‘already been thanks’, for the simple reason they will follow you down the street and give you scratch cards and there is a 99% chance you will have first prize.
It was on a holiday programme this year where companies get you to go look at ‘timeshare’ like places and get you to sign on the day and pay out money and you get nothing, they are a big con so please be aware of these people.
For excursions, don’t pay the holiday rep prices as we went down the road and booked all our excursions and we saved about half the price, the same with car hire, I looked at booking from home before we went and it was half the price if you booked in Cyprus.
The jeep safari is a must and opts for food included as you get all sorts with wine as well. We all got a bit light headed which made the trip even livelier. You also go to Lara Bay and see the turtle nests which were good. North Cyprus was a good day out as well; you need your passport for this as you have to go over the border. It is worth going just to see how different it is to southern Cyprus.
A day trip to Limassol also includes a tour and taster at KEO, they sit you round a table with crisps and loads of bottles of wine/beer for you to taste and the prices work out cheaper than in the shops.
Can not think of much more to say, other than if you read this and do decide to go to Pathos, I hope you have as good as time as we did.
I would have given it 10/10 if the Hotel was nearer the Harbour but then you would be looking at double the price.

The beach in front was to say the least dirty, the sun beds were broken if not reserved from 8 in the morning.
There is also a conflict in advertising, tea and coffee is available but at a charge. Very classy. Other than that breakfast and dinners were tasteless and repetitive.
Entertainment was also very predictable. It seems to me that management have forgotten about this hotel. Not recommended at all. Spend your money somewhere else.

My partner, our 2 children and I visited this hotel in 2004. We all had the time of our lives. The room we shared was large and was kept spotlessly clean by the maid who visited daily. Towels were changed every day and the bed linen at least 3 times per week.
The staff were all extremely helpful and polite. There was a good choice of eating-places during the day, our favourite was the Beach Bar.
Most nights we ate out in the centre of Paphos (the bus stops right outside the hotel and come every 15 minutes). In Paphos I recommend trying Chloes Chinese Restaurant and also Fat Mammas. On the occasions we ate at the hotel, there was an excellent choice on the menu and was very reasonably priced.
We visited the waterpark (just opposite the hotel) and had a fantastic family day out. Also try Georges Fun Bus Tours - brilliant!.
We enjoyed our holiday so much we booked again for this year and we cant wait.

We visited the Paphian Bay hotel for our summer holiday in 2003. We had a really lovely week here and the hotel was lovely. We were on a bed and breakfast basis and the food was lovely, plenty of cooked food, fresh fruit and Greek yoghurts and a selection of fresh fruit juices as well as cereals and so on.
The pool was lovely although we didn’t spend much time there due to the number of trips we did. The beach by the hotel was lovely with a sheltered lagoon for swimming and the hotel next door offering water sports.
The Aphrodite Water Park and go-karting are opposite the hotel, the water park is great and well worth the 12CYP as it is very clean and there are a good number of beds and such. Apartment was lovely, air con lush!!! Cleaned often by pleasant staff and the reception staff couldn’t be more helpful with all the shopping we got sent to the hotel!! A lovely place. A+++++++

A nice friendly hotel, wouldn't recommend for the younger generation, definately for the over 60's. Rooms are clean, but the bathrooms very small. The hotel is in need of an update, which I believe they are going to do this year.
Food was good for a 3 star, I think is was as good as any 4star hotel I have stayed in. Nice beach and lovely clean safe sea bathing. The swimming pool was nice too. Good sun loungers. Its best to sunbathe in the beach area as there is a lot of shade by the pool. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Great holiday for the price we paid.
