I found the food very good but the waiting staff were very rude and miserable. The complex itself was very beautiful but not a lot going on for the teenagers over 15.
We spoke to at least 30 people that had ear infections also being my partner who was admitted into hospital and put on a drip suffering from gastroenteritis and a severe ear infection and also my daughter that picked up a fungal infection from the poolside.
We found it too British, it was like being at Butlins as it was the same entertainment every night, mostly singing. One night we made paper aeroplanes too see which could fly the furthest and that is what they call adult entertainment. Lots of cats around and you will find them drinking from the pool water and also you will be lucky to find a sunbed after 6 a.m. as you will get people putting towels on beds from 12 midnight onwards.

If you are thinking about going to the Pafian Sun - forget it - we have just come back from a holiday from hell. The hotel itself is ok but its everything else!

The bar staff are so rude and arrogant and miserable they talk in Cypriot to each other when they serve you, the drinks are all watered down - the beer was so bad we had to buy bottled beer.

Whilst eating in the restaurant one evening I found a piece of glass in my dinner - the staff weren’t bothered though.

There’s bolts sticking out of the ground in the pool area - my children stood on rusty screws in the pool (which had just been cleaned out) - there are cats everywhere, especially when you are eating outside - the poolside toilets taps are snapped off leaving sharp edges and we watched the bar staff filling up the water tank behind the bar with tap water - when we were there, there was a big stack of complaints on the reps desk - so think again before you book this holiday - I wish we had!

I have just returned from the Pafian Sun Village, this place is well kept, clean and safe, it is great for the kids and for adults has a great bus service just at its door in fact everything is on hand it also has a great entertainments team. I would recommend the Pafian Sun to anyone.

The accommodation was really good, not sure about the four star rating, there was a crack in the bathroom sink, but I can not find any other faults.
About four cats on the resort that I counted but you expect cats in any area of Cyprus, they did not bother us and the hotel staff were always fast to get rid of them from the eating areas.
The entertainment was excellent, but on the last night was transferred to the poolside, this is quite noisy for anyone with small children as it does not finish until 12.00 pm.
The food offered was good, but the children’s selection was not too good.

We arrived at the Pafian and had a 1-bed apartment. Not ideal for 4 adults as my husband and I had the sofa and put up bed but the apartment was spotless, bed linen changed more than twice a week and the towels were so soft and very white.
We went on an all inclusive basis and the only problem we found the drinks were a little limited but we have previously done the Dominican, so may be just us being fussy! The food was fantastic and all day, the restaurant staff amazing. The only complaint we made was regarding the cats, quite a few and my mother is not a cat lover, we are but they can get on your nerves if you eat outside.
You can hire a car we used Avis. Great car but in hindsight we should have got a 4x4 Cypriot roads tend to be dirt tracks.
Outside the hotel is the bus stop on both sides of the road, the number 10 takes you to the old town market (worth a visit) and along with the number 15 you can get to the harbour and Kato (new Paphos) there is a small centre and I must say Theo’s jewellery shop is worth a visit (tell them Dave and Liselle recommended them).
The entertainment team were fantastic, Welshy, Ben, Michelle, Cerys and Bekki what a crew; they kept us entertained for 14 days and nights. Bingo fab, the shows great Queen, Abba and Aladdin is a must, just be prepared for the house dance, great fun join in.
We had such a good holiday here, out of all our holidays worldwide I cried when we left, I can recommend this hotel and we will definitely be back, if not this year next. Keep up the good work Thomas Cook and Welshy.

" This was our second visit to these... "

This was our second visit to these apartments and we will be making a third visit in October with our grown up family and 22 month old granddaughter.
Cyprus was our first visit abroad and our Travel Agent recommended the Pafian Sun to us.
She couldn’t have found us anywhere better!
We went self-catering on our first visit and on our second visit in March, we upgraded to all inclusive and it was worth every penny as the meals were excellent and always had a very varied choice to suit every individual taste.
All the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The rooms were very comfortable and cleaned to a very high standard.
The travel reps. worked very hard entertaining through the day, putting on a good show at night and were always on hand to give information and advice.
The buses run frequently and can be boarded outside the complex. They are very cheap to use.
The complex itself is very quiet and private and very clean.
We cannot wait to be back there again in October 2004.
Well done Pafian Sun - keep up the good work!

Pafian Sun was the best holiday I have ever been on. It was most enjoyable for every age. There was a lot to do in and outside the hotel. The area surrounding the hotel was great, it’s only a bus ride away from everywhere.

There are many restaurants to fit anyone’s appetite and I would say to definitely go to Fat Mamas if you get chance. So come to this welcoming hotel and have your best holiday yet. I’m definitely going back!

The time I went the accommodation was new and everything was clean and in fact a lot of it unused. The apartment was very comfortable and equipped very well; we were on self-catering and were able to make a full meal quite easily.

The weather was excellent, but then you have to be unlucky to hit bad weather in Cyprus. The facilities on the complex were very good, especially for children, the activities and children’s team were extremely good and there was a lot going on all of the time, even for adults.

The complex is a bus ride out of everywhere but we found it easy getting around of the bus with a bus stop just outside the complex and regular buses. The Pafian Sun Holiday Village is situated just a short walk up from the beach with a small cove. Overall a very nice holiday and would recommend.

Only problem that I had was the bar, being all inclusive I expected more than was offered, the hotel is advertised as 4 star but it is 4sun which is the equivalent of 3 star, and like many of the guests we expected the drinks to be 4 star. Drinks were served in plastic beakers, great for the pool but not at night in the bar, every drink you ordered came in the beaker, lager, vodka, water, cocktails ‘washable beakers’ which weren’t washed very well.
Slush Puppy drinks you pay for, Baileys is £6.00 a glass, not what is expected at a ‘4 star’ bar!!
